Basically you're getting 3060 level performance for a lot cheaper. You can also overclock to get it closer to the 3060.
3060 is much better
@@ares23dc Like 5% on average, you can easily pass the gap by overclocking the Rx 6600.
Just shows you how bad Nvidias budget GPUs are today.
@@chase7974 RTX 4060 is similar to RTX 2080. And RX6600 looks like a younger retarded brother compared to RTX 2080. I like the fact that you regurgitate AMD's marketing division.

I recently rebuilt a gaming PC for a friend’s son. It got a Ryzen 5 5500, and RX 6600, 16gb of RAM, a 240gb ssd for a boot drive and a 650w PSU. That thing is a great 1080p machine now! I would recommend this GPU to anyone who is looking for a competitively priced 1080p GPU.
Absolutely solid PC and well balanced too!
Got mine for $120 used on Offer Up here in the USA. My situation is a bit unorthodox though. My monitor is 3440x1440 so I am asking it to punch well above its weight class. I am still able to play Cyberpunk 2077 at native res and medium settings....although I do have to enable FSR to make the framerate manageable. Other games I like have no problem with it at native res though.
$120 on an RX 6600 is an awesome deal mate! Have fun gaming!
I'm getting the same monitor and gpu setup as yours, does it run stable 60fps? Also have you tried afmf on high setting or better yet fsr 3 mod on ultra with frame-gen?
I just bought this 2 weeks ago posted with i5 12400f paired with b760. it's amazing!!!
I picked up a RX6600 8GB XFX Swift 210 version and the value is most definitely there especially in esport titles such as Apex Legends and Fortnite where you can get a competitive experience depending on the cpu pairing
If you pair this GPU with a good CPU even something as low end as the 12100F, and you're having a great eSports gaming experience!
RX 6600 powercolor. Playing right now Cyberpunk on 1080p all high settings wihout fsr and rt. 60 fps, sometimes drops to 55-58.
Powercolor Figther, also bought mine new for 190 last week and so far have ran both GTA V and Warzone on ultra and extreme settings past 60 fps on 1080p
Just ordered an open box 6600 on Ebay for $180.70 after taxes. Running Linux Mint 22 with Ryzen 5 5600 CPU and 64 GB Ram. Should be here by this Saturday. Looking forward to replacing my nvidia 1060!
I have a 6600xt, and its REALLY good for 1080p gaming, i run everything smoothly, no problems ever, i even play forza horizon 4 on 4k at about 120fps wince thats a very optimized game, the only sad thing is that i overpaid for it, not that much tho but still couldve bought a 6700xt in normal prices
pretty much the same for me but when i bought the 6600xt i wanted the 6700xt but at the time it was still £750+ were as I got the 6600xt than at £440but that was over 2 years ago now.
I traded in an i7 4790k and an rx 580 and got that exact card for the total sum of £30. It's now teamed up with a gigabyte b550m board 32gb Corsair lpx ram and a Ryzen 7 5700x. For me its a great budget build.
Wish there was more new models below £200 available when compared to the USA market.
I believe items in the US aren't displayed with VAT unlike in the UK. So it probably evens out. But the best budget RX 6600 card to look out for is the Powercolor Fighter. I have the 6700 XT model and it's great.
i have the same gpu mate (rx6600 asrock) i bought it around 10,500php (186usd) its really is a awesome gpu paired with a r5 3600 + 16gb ram . the only problem that i see is the encoder on streaming , its not that good. but if i dont stream i have 200+ fps on valorant (all low settings and 1080p)
you can stream but not action games =-)
i too have rx6600 asrok and 5600 =-)
where did u bought that asrock rx 6600?

the pc i'm getting for a relative needs a pc for WoW so nice to know this is a decent gpu for the budget they dont play anything but WoW and this should do the job from what they are using now
im planning to get a RTX2070S second hand but now im starting to consider the 6600
I was unable to find one used at a decent price here in Canada. I wound up ordering a new Powercolor Fighter 6600 for not much more than eBay pricing, shipping was a huge downside for used.
My games library growth is starting to strain my poor rx580 so a graphics card upgrade was needed.
Thanks for the video.
I made the same upgrade and am regretting it. Maybe it's because its on pci 3.0 instead of 4.0. Frame pacing is all over the place and very noticable.
@@newchannelwtfwhy I was having major 'stuttering' playing Dakar Desert Rally (not a very AMD optimized game). My MSI B450 and R5 2600 were on an older BIOS, so I updated the BIOS. I switched on Resizable Bar and the stuttering is basically gone. With a few more in game tweaks, I'm sure I can cure it. I'll have Cyberpunk 2077 after July 4th and then I can really push the setup.
I got the same model refurbished a week ago and it runs really smooth paired with my r5 5600, truly a comfortable option to sit on for a couple of years
Nice pickup mate, nice pairing with the Ryzen 5 5600 too! Have fun gaming
wow, that's the same pairing i'm going with for my first planned build :D
Will this rx6600 works well on an Am3+ motherboard with fx8320? My old gpu just died and i'm thinking to get this.
but witch one is good there are alot of rx6600 like xt rx speedster and many more
You can enable ray tracing in Forza Horizon 5 and get above 60
Also test AFMF with this
Ray tracing in Forza Horizon 5 is only in Forza Vista. So it won't impact normal gameplay. I am planning to test AFMF too, I'm decidint to test on the RX 6600 or my 6700 XT.

I am using 5600G for the last couple of years and now want to pair this APU with a GPU to elevate the performance without banging my pockets. Is 6600 the best deal still in 2024?
In my country rtx 3070 is 250usd used while rx 6600 is 200usd used. Which is better?
It’s worth getting the 3070 imo. It’s substantially more powerful than an RX 6600. Definitely worth the extra $50.
@@ProYamYamPC I made a mistake it is 200usd for rx6600 and 250usd for 3070

And dont forget the rx 5700 xt, great price to performance.
100%! It's a great GPU and I plan to get my hands on one at somepoint this year.
Is IT better than RX 6600?
I have a question is the 1650 decent since im pretty poor will it be decent
It can be, it really depends on the game. 4gb of ram limits your detail settings. I used the ddr6 version of it for 2 years before upgrading to my 3060. It was still an enjoyable experience. The 3050 6gb is coming. It gets a lot of hate for its cut down specs but is better than the 1650 and will be about 179$ and still plug in and go no power cable needed and that extra 50% of vram can't hurt.
@@sevantofra but is the rx 580 reliable for me since it has 8gb of vram
yes, the 580 is better than the 1650 by about 20%.

Turn on fluid motion frames it double your fps
Guys I'll tell you this. if any card can run CP 2077 in 60 fps it is still a good card and it will most likely run all PROPERLY OPTIMIZED games without any issues. So don't look at stuff like avatar frontiers of pandora, alan wake 2 or the last of us (even though it is indeed better optimized than the previous 2). Because this games really suck when it comes to optimization and they need a lot of fixing...unless they will never get fixed and the devs are just going to say BRO JUST BUY 4090.
Its the same price as RX 6650 XT, so may as well get that one instead.
Is it good for 1080p 50fps gameplay record on obs?
Yea i got more frames (60-75) whilst streaming, just tone down a few settings in game for best performance
@@COZYLo-FiAndChill Thank you :)
It's okay but lacking in vram. If you can find a 6700 non XT you'd be much better off. I want a 6700XT, I bought a 6700. 10 gigs of vram. I am at 1080p so it's fine. I haven't had a memory issue yet. My R580 did have a few insufficient memory warnings. It still worked, it just complained.
To be honest, for rasterised 1080p, 8GB is fine for now. The only time this can be an issue is if the developer hasn't optimised their game properly.
@@ProYamYamPC The game that was spitting out the warning was Forza Horizon 5. It is a pretty well optimized game. I did have it turned up to pretty high settings. Like I said, it still played but complained once in a while.
I bought my rx 6600 in november last year and its been great, until today i noticed buzzing sound coming from it and im not fond of it

The RX6600 is useless to me because there are no Windows Server drivers. There are work-arounds to manually install AMD drivers, but there is no support and no guarantee the card will work. So I had to pay $300 to get an Nvidia RTX4060, which has 15 watts less TDP, is 10% faster, and drivers that easily install and work well.
That is not true fuck!
No it's not.
RTX 4060 is. Performance per $ is insane.
A new RX6600 is £200, while RTX4060 is £280. RTX 4060 is in many cases twice the performance.
Insane is a stretch. I haven’t personally tested one, but I doubt it has better performance per $ than an RX 6600
Wow, £260 for a 4060 is a great deal. I was 2 weeks ago in the UK, I didn't see anything like this anywhere, I specifically checked the hardware prices there. For information, in our country (Bulgaria), the prices of the 4060 start at €350. A few days ago a friend picked up a Gigabyte Eagle RX 6600 with three fans, factory overclocked for 220 €, which makes it almost equal to the RTX 3060. I got the RX 7800XT in December on Black Friday for 480 €, currently prices start at 580 € . I don't even want to talk about the prices of the new "super" versions of Nvidia's 4000 series, it's so sad, it even makes me laugh. It's complete madness.
@@ProYamYamPC There is no insane stretch, All new games use DLSS. With DLSS activated, GTX4060 is 2x RX6600 performance in most new titles, and a lot of old titles already got added DLSS.
@@DarkPriest-rx7tw Never said £260. I said £280. Currently £284 triple fan version at Currys.
i think your games looks less better than gtx 1650 i have rtx 2060 6 gb and its look more better than this
you can't tell in a youtube video. SMH!
these are not the newest games, games like starfield are much harder to run......
I stopped testing Starfield because it's a spaghetti code mess. If people want me to start testing it again, I will add ti back to the testing list.
thats cuz starfield is a poorly released game. they need to work on it more.

the rx 6600 came out in october 2021, so not 2020ish but its true that its amazing.
Which budget CPU do u recommend to this videocard, something better than ryzen 5 3600 but still low budget?
The rx 6600, rx 6650 xt and the Arc A580, A750 is my favorit budget options under and around 200$ mark, depending on what you want to do besides gaming.
I have used the A750 and the A580 I like both of these cards they're pretty amazing for the price. And I have an white Rx 6600 coming in as well for a friend Can't wait to try it out

@@fubkegt4964 If you can still find a 6700xt/6750xt around that price, it's the best buy. Then probably the 7600xt. The 3060 or 4060 are not terrible, but that price range is not great at the moment. It really depends on what the current pricing is in your area.

Nvidia's prices are insane in most countries so I can imagine how bad they are whre you live. Luckily, it looks like AMD is making Nvidia think twice about pricing.

I still have a GTX 1050ti. Partly because most of the games I play don't need much more (at least currently). But partly because I always liked TDP ~70-75W GPUs. The market has never been flooded with those, but they existed. It's maddening to me that AMD's current entry-level 7600 is listed as 165W -- that's the smallest cards of their current line-up they have, and it's moving towards the 200W!
And the RTX 3050 6GB is bad value if you compare it to the RX 6600 -- and it also shows that there has been little progress been made. It's a good 200%+ faster than the 1050ti at the same peak power draw, alright. But it took almost a decade to get there. 6GB for a new card in 2024 are a no-go anyway.
Wondering how much you can save with the RX 6600 via power targets and undervolting.
Great card! Enough for me.. Works fine with pci-e 3.0 without rebar to on a old 1155 mb.. Not much performance loss. In Linux to! 1080p max is just fine in most games I want to play. Don't read to much into the hype of "needing" all new parts!
i have it paired with a r5 5600 and i optimized it a little bit and now, it performs 40%-70% better then a rtx 4060, my rx 6600 now has a targeted gpu clock speed of 2615
I got an RX 6600 XT offer for 156$ should i get it? I intend it for an AMD Ryzen 7700 build
