Some ITX cases can still fit full sized graphics cards no problem, but why do you care so much about an ITX case anyway? Compact cases are, in general, difficult to work with, and it's a lot easier to find a good deal on a graphics card upgrade if you're not restricted by having to find a smaller than normal graphics card size. Smaller cases are also a lot more difficult to cool, and you're likely to have to run your fans at high rpms, creating more noise, just to keep the system adequately cooled. My previous case was very compact, but I got sick of it and eventually switched to a nice big ATX case that's really easy to work with, and I have never regretted it. I highly recommend a decent sized mATX case with plenty of room in it for the graphics card and CPU cooler, and also with good ventilation, or just a full sized ATX case.

@@peterpan408 Yeah, that's why I upgraded from my GTX 1060, which lasted me over 6 years and it was beginning to struggle with 1440p gaming. Awesome card which I still own in another PC.
I got a 6650xt for ~500cad new in 2022. Very happy. I bought a 7700xt for 630cad a few months ago. Drivers have been terrible but are getting better. It's nice having a 1440p card with great fps. 6600 cards are barely 1440p capable imo.
This is my current GPU, upgraded from a 4 GB RX 570, got it used, paid around 200 GBP converted from my country's currentcy. It's a pretty capable card even though I am running it in PCIe 3.0 (I have a B450m motherboard) pairs well with my Ryzen 5 5600x. 8GB of VRAM is such a huge difference when I was rocking the 4GB RX 570
I am happy to say that the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and RTX 2080 Super machine I am currently running plays the latest version of Fallout 4 at 1920x1080 and 80 FPS locked pretty solidly maxed out. I (so far) have not noticed any eye straining dips like the game used to do even on lower settings. It only took 9 years to make the game at least seem to run better.
As an owner of a RX 6600XT I can also confirm it's a good video card for the money. For me it was a great uplift from the 1060 3GB I had before it. Most importantly, when I purchased my RX 6600XT in August of 2022 I was able to get it for a several dollars under MSRP at a time when most other cards, especially Nvidia ones, were being sold for 25-50+% over their MSRP! Picking one up now for just under $200 new or even less used would make for a good mid-range experience.

Got my brother one last year to replace the old GTX 1070 I gave to him a long time ago and only paid $220 brand new. Considering how bad the value tends to be in the $200-300 range, this was an excellent deal. These can be had for like $180-195 now it seems, awesome for the money.
2021 was tough for GPU purchases. Sometimes, it was cheaper to buy a prebuilt with a decent GPU than it was to buy a GPU on its own. Scalpers and a crypto-currency craze were partly to blame. Many midrange cards weren't on the shelves of retailers, or they were at ridiculous prices and not at MSRP... The 6600XT looks like a deal now, and it would have been a better purchase than the RTX 2060 I acquired in early 2021...
I found a new 6600 XT on eBay for $150 in 2023. I got it, tested it, and liked it so much I ordered a second 6600 XT. Both cards are in my FX 9370 PC running GTA Online, idle farming cash at my nightclub.
Unfortunately in my country, nobody bought them so retailers have old stock which are still priced at 400usd while rx7600 costs about 280 here. Still a great video btw.
I have the RX6600XT but the Gigabyte 3 fan version. This is really a beast. I am planning to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 but now is running with i7-4770k (at 4,8GHz). On 1440p more than enough for all of the games.

@@bishupareya2289 I think the matching is very good. If you go with something stronger on the GPU, you would need a 12400f at least. If the 12400f is not much more expensive, then I'd get that one. But I got my 12100f when it came out and the price difference to a 12400f was larger back then. Back in 2020/2021 my old PC was starting to have problems, so I decided it was time to build up a new PC. As we all know, graphics cards shot up to ridiculous prices back then. I was fortunate enough to win one of those "lotteries" on Newegg to buy a 6600 XT at the then MSRP. Fast forward to today and I love this card. Plays pretty much everything I throw at it at high or better at 1080P. Maybe in a few more generations of GPUs I'll grab an upgrade, but currently the 6600 XT handles my gaming just fine.
The 6650xt was a superb purchase when I was in need. I had to give this one a pass for a few reason but felt it was an excellent option. I did finally upgrade the 6650 to a GRE as it was a no brainer. Prices are still weird. I paid £190 for a 6650xt and sold it 9 months later for £220 used. Something is going on in the market again.
I just spent the morning playing VR games with my daughter on a machine I built for her in December. I opted for the 6600xt to keep within a reasonable budget. It's a superb little card.
i remember the video you made, called something like "6600 xt lol" back when this card was new; it's insane to think about how much better things have gotten since then
I got a 6700xt for the price of a 6650xt, our GPU market is as steep as UK here in scandinavia so it was a big win for me going from a 5, soon 6 year old 1070, I will use him to build an emulation rig for PS2, Dolphin and N64 games in a seperate case (I will try to find a decent cheap workstation with no GPU second hand) :3
I considered it when I was looking for a good dead in order to offset the performance drop I've got when I switched from 1680x1050 to 1440p monitor, which is admittedly a large jump in number of pixels. The fight was between this one and the gtx 1080ti and I ended up getting one of each for different purposes. I use the gtx for gaming simply because it has more memory, which seems invaluable in certain games and it didn't break the bank. Got the 6600 xt for another rig where I needed a sizable parallel computing capabilities without the big power footprint. This gpu is a steal for such a purpose at the price point at which I've got it.
I got it in the middle of GPU shortages as it was the only reasonably priced card at the time, and even then I had to import it from another country. Sadly my needs have gone up and I will replace my whole system as soon as new GPUs will drop, but it will get a new life in my brother's PC.
Runs WAY cooler than the same model that I have. Have you repasted it with anything? I heard XFX is hit or miss when it comes to their stock thermal compound application
I've been enjoying using this card for 1440p with optimized settings and upscaling on more demanding titles, and bumping up the visuals for older or indie games. I don't think it will hold up for UE5 games, but it was absolutely worth it at under MSRP.
I have one of these, bought it second hand for $200. Use it on Ubuntu and I mostly play Dota 2 on my 2560 x 1080 screen that only supports 60hz. I can run the game at max settings with fps to spare. Its all I needed and all I wanted, and not to mention it uses so little power.

@@smurr45 Yeah, I expect to keep it for at least another 2 or 3 years before I upgrade again.
It's a Pay to Play world..
Either pay now, or wait until its not as fresh (and lose 1-2 years of use).
What is that time worth to you?
@@peterpan408 Yeah, that's why I upgraded from my GTX 1060, which lasted me over 6 years and it was beginning to struggle with 1440p gaming. Awesome card which I still own in another PC.
I got the 6900xt last year for $300. I think nothing can beat that.
5700xt is still the budget goat
Yeah a great choice indeed :)
Love your vids, especially ultra-budget graphic cards and rigs!
Agree. But the lack of dx12 ultimate support has made it age a bit less than gracefully.
I’ve had it, it’s not. By which I mean, the 6700XT was night and day better for me, quality of life, temps, noise etc.
Got my 5700xt for $110 and p520 build for $275 total. Plays everything I need very well 🙂
I got a 6650xt for ~500cad new in 2022.
1070Ti would be an interesting one to see you review!
Epic video RGIHD about 3 months ago I built a budget pc with the rx 7600 here is what i have!
I5 12400f

32gb ddr4 ram 2x16gb
Sapphire rx 7600
2tb silicon power nvme ssd
evga 500w 80B
deepcool micro atx case
W11 pro
Bought 1 last week , new for 200 dollars on amazon , its a fantastic card for 1080 , it even handles ray tracing , cyberpunk modded its a blast .
Got my brother one last year to replace the old GTX 1070 I gave to him a long time ago and only paid $220 brand new. Considering how bad the value tends to be in the $200-300 range, this was an excellent deal. These can be had for like $180-195 now it seems, awesome for the money.
Bought a used Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6600 XT at a bargain price before. Served me well for 1 year. Now upgraded to RX 6800 XT, best purchase so far !
I bought a ASUS RX 6650 xt for about 250€ new when they had a deal on ASUS shop in Germany. I am happy with this card.
Waited a long time for this video. I'm upgrading from a 590 to this soon.
Loved my 590, card lasted forever
Unfortunately in my country, nobody bought them so retailers have old stock which are still priced at 400usd while rx7600 costs about 280 here. Still a great video btw.
Bought one of these early last year, in really impressed with how quick it is for the price. Maxes everything in 1080 easy and most older games run 4k
I got same gpu but with 3 fans and still banger 🔥
Nice video.
a subjective point but this XFX model looks damn sexy for a "budget card". All black and with a rare to find, backplate.
I have the RX6600XT but the Gigabyte 3 fan version. This is really a beast. I am planning to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 but now is running with i7-4770k (at 4,8GHz). On 1440p more than enough for all of the games.
Awesome. A Ryzen 5 would be a really nice upgrade too
nah, do not buy into AM4 unless it is very cheap. Buy a 12100 or 12400F instead if not
@@Reaper_ZL1 I am not gonna buy intel anymore. I am builded this config in 2015, with i5-4460, later upgraded to the i7. Back then AMD was not that good, but now i really like their products.
thinking about getting a used one to replace my aging GTX 1060 6GB
Would be a solid upgrade for sure :)
It's what I did one year ago. It is good.
I upgraded my 1060 with a 6650xt and have been very pleased so far. Just wrapping my head around amd's driver settings has been a bit challenging
@@jmac79ersupgraded from a 1050 to a 6650xt 2 days ago, having software learning issues as well. Glad I'm not in the boat alone
I did the same and am very happy :)
I have this same exact model, and its finally nice to see consistent triple digit fps on the games I play (mostly older/esports titles) at 1080p after having played on very old hardware or weaker mobile graphics on laptops, I could've gotten a 6650XT for just $4 more but it was sniped from me but this card was still worth the price I paid for it imo ($185)
have you tried the 6600xt in photo and video editing? if yes, how was it's performance?
@@enjoyplanet9559i only really do small video edits, and it takes me around 2-3 mins to export 3min 2-5gb 1440p videos
i am happy with this gem :D
I got a 2nd hand Rx 6600XT for eur 200 more than a year ago for my living room 1080p TV.
Plays everything well in combination with i3 12100f
Any issues you are facing now with this combination because I'm thinking of going with this same combination like bottleneck or anything
@@bishupareya2289 I think the matching is very good. If you go with something stronger on the GPU, you would need a 12400f at least.
If the 12400f is not much more expensive, then I'd get that one.
But I got my 12100f when it came out and the price difference to a 12400f was larger back then.
I must say also that I don't play at 400fps eSports and that I don't have any of the new Unreal Engine games.
Got mine used for £220 in 2022. Never left me down
My i3-12100f + RX 6600XT PC was my ol' reliable gaming pc. I eventually upgraded my pc parts but in terms of bang-for-buck, I was so impressed by my i3 + RX 6600XT
The 6000 series is killing it right now value wise on the used market. Was rocking a 6700XT I got for around $250 for awhile and had an excellent time gaming at 1440p.
My heart shrinked when i saw the GPU box sitting next to the pond 😂
I was just looking for a video with the rx 6600 in 2024. Maybe do the rx 6650 next.
Had it for more than year was super happy with it. Now changed it for RX 7900 GRE
Another good review. But 69 nice cracked me up!
6650XT is only £223, just £1 more than the 6600 so i think its definitely worth it here in london
This is talking about used gpu's, both of them are not worth buying new as you are just wasting like £60-70
@@iterati0n worth is in the eye of the buyer .. clearly your not the buyer. lol
@@homelessEh I think they are just silly for wasting money
Edit - they instead of you
@@iterati0n in places where 2nd hand GPUs are plenty and are fairly priced then yeah it might be a waste of money, but some places don't have a great 2nd hand or used market to them this card is fine for the price
@@shrishpotdar343 that's fair although this commenter specified they are from the UK where we have a pretty decent used market on ebay, even the shop cex provides a system where you can buy used gpu's or sell them your own ones
I used one for years until last week, still a very viable and decent gpu. 10/10 for performance with value.
Wats the difference between the 6600xt and regular 6600from brands like xfx swft
Thanks for this video it helped me a lot
I just spent the morning playing VR games with my daughter on a machine I built for her in December. I opted for the 6600xt to keep within a reasonable budget. It's a superb little card.
That’s awesome :)
i remember the video you made, called something like "6600 xt lol" back when this card was new; it's insane to think about how much better things have gotten since then
Yeah only took a few years but this card is finally worth it 😁
Got one for $160. Turned it into a itx steam box running chimeraos. It's awesome
2 vids ago i was talking about this card and i got it for a 160 euros. Its so nice as an upgrade from my 1060
Yeah excellent choice
I got a 6700xt for the price of a 6650xt, our GPU market is as steep as UK here in scandinavia so it was a big win for me going from a 5, soon 6 year old 1070, I will use him to build an emulation rig for PS2, Dolphin and N64 games in a seperate case (I will try to find a decent cheap workstation with no GPU second hand) :3
Nice! good video.
I used my 6600xt for almost 2 years. It is a surprisingly capable card. I changed my monitor to 1440p, this is the reason I changed graphics card.
No regrets on mine
Looks like a good card, I think what hurt this card on release was its high pricing. Now that the pricing is much better, this makes more sense.
I got it in the middle of GPU shortages as it was the only reasonably priced card at the time, and even then I had to import it from another country. Sadly my needs have gone up and I will replace my whole system as soon as new GPUs will drop, but it will get a new life in my brother's PC.
This is my card. It gets the job done, although i worry about how it will fair in the near future
Runs WAY cooler than the same model that I have. Have you repasted it with anything? I heard XFX is hit or miss when it comes to their stock thermal compound application
I upgraded from an RX 570 to a 6700 XT. Both very worthy cards. Sold the 570 for ~$60 and bought the 6700 XT for ~$240.
How many rpm was video card to maintain 66c?
6000 series were built different. My red dragon 6800xt is a monster for 1440p gaming. Coming from a RX 580 it was a great leap up.
I've been enjoying using this card for 1440p with optimized settings and upscaling on more demanding titles, and bumping up the visuals for older or indie games. I don't think it will hold up for UE5 games, but it was absolutely worth it at under MSRP.
my 6700 non xt runs fine ue5 1080p tho
This new AMD driver is injecting brand new life into my old RX5700. Maybe hold onto it a little longer. This 6600XT is actually good. Good video
No doubts, its the best value card for the last years for a budget. Bought two for a kids Gaming PC 1year for 150EUR ago and the other 2,5 years as a gift replacement for RX580 for 240EUR (1,5 years later sold still for 160EUR. You cannot do anything wrong with this card.
Correction, they were 6650XT cards
6700/6750xt is what I feel the sweet spot for 1080p in 2024. Runs current titles at high and has some future proofing by way of 12gb vram.
bagged a PC Specialist Fusion RS with a Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB RAM, 900GB SSD and one of these cards in it on an early morning auction on eBay for £170, talk about lucky
If you have more money, an RX 6700 XT is very suitable for 1440p gaming or higher refresh rates, I have one from end of 2022 and it is working very well still! And it has 12GB of RAM which is really nice
Yeah a great 1440p choice
This card is an absolute dream for Linux gaming. More stable and frequently more performant than Windows.
I've since upgraded to a 3090, but I miss those days when everything just worked.
Left Nvidia and picked up a 6700 xt card. I"m so sold on AMD cards now. Just love this card.
Use to have this card before I upgraded to a RX 7600, was a great GPU
can you use it with intel processors?
RX 6600 XT is quite a beast for its time vs the price. I recommend quite many budget gamers to go for it a few years back. Seems like now 7600 XT is a better choice if they want a brand new card as our second hand market is way too few.
Could you do a video on the rx 5500 xt?? I got one used for around $110 and it'e been serving me well so far. Absolutely love it
I got the XFX QICK 6750 XT for £300, 6000 series is great on prices right now for how much performance you get. 6600 XT if you wanna play 1080p (even with a little 1440p) 6750 XT (1080p high refresh/1440p (even a little bit of 4K)
I bought one of these about 2 months ago for $150 and i have to say it's really good for the price, 60% faster than my old 1660 super and consume about the same power(125w vs 135w)
i had just upgraded my GTX 970 to a 7700 xt a few weeks ago.. walked in for a 3070 but there was an open box 7700xt for only $270 cdn... I took the risk and am super happy with it ! Now time to upgrade my Ryzen 1600 to a 5600 I think !
Get the 5800X if you can find one cheap, I recently upgraded to one and the difference is huge.
