I still have my Radeon Pulse RX 5700 XT and still haven't ran in to a game it cant play. I don't think I have ever seen the temp go above 65 degrees, the cooling system is awesome. It's still a great 1440p card, but if you only have a 1080p screen then this card will play basically anything.

Not wrong, but if you have a cramped case design blower style cards are often the best option and getting a pair of headphones. This is especially true for those with an ITX setup or a converted office PC.
You’re not wrong, I had the reference R9 380 and that sounded like a Boeing 747🤣

ProYamYamPC : from what I will forever remeber the RX 5700 XT 8GB GDDR6 is the fact that it was faster than the RTX 2080 Super 8GB in Battlefield V at any resolution due to that TILE BASED RENDERING 2 and 4 CUE SYSTEM that AMD-s Fine Red Wine is known about....and yeah, Battlefield V was the Raytracing launch title back in 2019 for Nvidia RTX Pascal Refresh 2000 series :).
Great video. I bought an RX 5600XT and I am very very happy with it. Huge improvement over my RX 570 8GB. And to anyone wondering these 5000 series cards work great under Linux . I run Opensuse Tumbleweed. The Sapphire Pulse cards are very nice.
I was lucky to get a new one from Amazon. Mine was brand new and still sealed in the bag. The only part that was different was the plain brown box. Would be really curious to see a video on that
ProYamYamPC : your RX 5700 XT has an unverified 017.001.000.068.000000 BIOS that are usually used for mining. It should have had the 017.001.000.049.000000 FW instead that is verified. Your GPU is probably from a mining batch of "refurbished" GPU-s.
My RX6600 is also used for mining
Mine was the other way around it was undervolted and underclocked with 017.001.000.049.000000, then I flashed 017.001.000.068.000000 and it unlocked the full performance

I replaced my gtx 1070 last year with this card , and in 1080p gaming it performs really well for the money.
I own a sapphire pulse 5700xt . It served me well in the past for 1080p gaming. Today its a guarantee 60 fps Ultra settings at 1080p for most games. It can struggle to get 144fps for your 144hz monitor though. I upgraded to the 7800xt recently and moved up to 1440p gaming at 144fps .

Im using rx 460 4gb with i5 7400 and 16gb ddr4 2400 bus ram. My psu is antec 500 watt non modular. Can i upgrade to rx 5700xt? The psu and processor is not good for the gpu but still can i pair it up and get a performance boost??
I'd try to get a used RTX 2060 with that 500w power supply. That would probably be the max for the system without a better processor anyways. A rx6600 is also a great choice and a new card isn't too far off from the price of these used cards.
In my country rx 5500xt costs around 180$ whereas rx5700xt costs only 90$.That made me interested about 5700xt as it's the cheaper one. Finally i came to know that gpu requires 650w psu at least and i gave up.😞
I would choose the 6600. Similar performance, similar price, but you can find it new❤

Regarding it showing up as an ASUS in GPU-Z: It's very likely just a flashed ASUS BIOS for higher power limit.

The PCB is not an ASUS design. I already checked. I think it shows up that way because they jacked ASUS's Bios and didn't care enough to remove their badge before doing it. My card looks identical to yours but is branded a SOYO card. I ran across a 6500 xt that was labeled as AFOX and I don't even think AFOX made a AMD card, they only make GTX cards. Shit has me stumped bro. Once I think I have it figured out, I'll order another one and it will be different. Peldan has 2 version of the 5500xt, one white that is made way better then their cheap black version. The white is listed as an ASUS, while the black shows up as a MSI. What are these dudes doing in China???? You are correct sir, While AliExpress wont scam you on a GPU, they will scam you on everything else. GPU's are one of the actual legit things on AliExpress, even if they are buying old overstock and making their own. Never buy storage on AE, that for sure is mostly a scam. These benchmark test that I'm seeing that run games at like anything just above 60fps and they consider it fine just blows my mind. I have a 280hz monitor to me anything below 120fps feels so bad on high refresh rate, even at 120fps it already feels bad compared to running at 200fps but it starts to get worse around 90-60fps in my expreince. The gameplay is smooth but at the same time feels jittery beucase of that high refresh rate. Unless your monitor is capped to 60hz then fps dosen't really matter and you should get a console at this point.
Luckily not everyone has such demands. Some people are happy gaming at 60 FPS and that’s totally fine. Gaming is about enjoyment, and if gamers enjoy 30/60 FPS, let them have their fun.

No, the RX 5700XT has a high power draw is a terrible undervolter and overclocker and has really bad performance even for the used Price. It doesnt support Raytracing or Meshed shader calculations. For 150€ you have plenty of better Choices:
1. RX 6600XT: Same Performance, Same Price, RT, Better Overclocking with beefier cards and up to 90W!!! lower Power Consumption... at the same Performance!!
2. RTX 3060Ti: Marginaly Better Performance, DLSS, RT, Really good Undervolter and with 150W in stock its the way better deal.
3. RTX 2070 Super: Same as 3060Ti but even better at undervolting. Mostly cheaper to find then ampere.
4. GTX1080: Super cheap, same performance with better Power Consumption.
Such a bad recommendation... it would be good if this card was 75€ but at anything above 100€ is too much and then there are way better alternatives.
I'm sorry, but you're well off the mark mate. The 5700 XT would absolutely smoke a 1080 any day of the week while maybe consuming a little more power.
The 3060 Ti costs substantially more than the 5700 XT, yes it will perform better, but it's in a different price category altogether. The RX 6600 XT is slightly more money, yes it has RT, but that shouldn't be a consideration as RT performance is bad on budget cards (particularly on AMD cards). The 2070 Super is on par with the 5700 XT while costing more, yes it has Nvidia features, but it costs more and it is not on par with a 3060 Ti. It is of my opinion that your comment is misleading…
@@ProYamYamPC I deal with PC Parts in a daily basis and all those GPUs i listed can be bought used for around 150€. The GTX 1080 going as low as 80€
The GTX 1080 won't be absolutely smoked it's a 5-10% Difference of performance whilst using less power on the 1080 side. Also The Rtx 2070 Super and Rtx 3060Ti have an 4-8% difference in Performance in favour of the 3060Ti.
My point is that the RX 5700XT is not a recommendation. For its lack of features and power draw it costs too much. Every Card I listed is a better buy.
Benchmarks are not accurate. Didn't include path tracing in cyberpunk, no alan wake 2 , portal rxt, no RT on star wars. This was released as a 4k gpu, thus should have beem tested at that resolution as well.
Oh my! I didn’t include path tracing on a GPU with no RT cores from 2019!!! And judging from the 1440p data, the 5700 XT won’t be great at 4K in newer AAA games.
Nice roundup. Thanks for showcasing this.
You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed
Amd failed to compete with 2080ti with the 5700xt
If you have this card i recommend stating with adrenaline 23.11.1 for best performance
