    Thanks for this. The assembly sequence was baffling me until I watched your video.

    Thank you so much! I’m a visual learner and you made it look easy, which it is once you know. Cheers

    Thanks for producing this series. After seeing how it works, I've got a lot more confidence to take on the repair.

    Thank you so much for taking your time to make this video. Been having nothing but problems with mine (just like yours, on older Triton boat), but you have done a great job of showing exactly what I need to
    do now! Thanks again!

    Love to see a video on the ufp DB 35 rotors, calibers, type bearings, races, seals. Also showing the spindle stainless steel wear ring and and 0 ring.

    Good video, but I’ve always installed the pads in the caliper and then caliper over the rotor 😊

    This info is just what I need for my 2003 Tahoe single axle trailer with DB-42 disc calipers. My calipers are on with 2 bolts and the back of the wheel well makes getting the bottom bolt out almost impossible. I'm going to try a nano low profile socket they are only .9 inches thick/tall. The clips/wire were baffling to me until your vids. My hub spins with a slight scrape too and my rotor face looks dark not shiny, think it is worn?Wish me luck!

    This is great. Thank you!
    A question, please. I was surprised that when you were done, the calipers seemed to drag a little on the disc. The wheel didn't spin freely.
    Before seeing this, I checked mine for the first time and was worried they didn't spin freely. There's a little rust on the disc -- I figured I needed whole over-haul. (They've been in salt water and not always carefully washed with fresh.) But maybe not ...
    So, is a little drag OK?
    The upside -- that caliper bit came last in your series, so I had to watch the whole sequence and I'm really glad I did. I may have to build a heated garage to do it, but I think I could over-haul the whole thing. Thanks

      yes a little drag is fine. if you have a lot of drag you may need to replace the shock up by the tongue. I replaced mine and it really stop doing the clunk clunk going down the road.

    Hey Andrew, I had my calipers out and pumped the little cylinder out! Are my calipers any good?

    • @MrAcekoomboom
      @MrAcekoomboom  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      sophie guillen yeah they should be fine but just make sure the boot is still good and you gonna have to try and push the cylinder back in. You gonna have to take the caliper all the way off so you have no resistance for the piston to go back in.

    You always had drum breaks. Now that you have changed to disc, is it worth the money and time in the end?

    • @MrAcekoomboom
      @MrAcekoomboom  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Daron Lewis no it was always disc. Disc is better especially if you are saltwater or you dont use your boat very much.

      This isn't your bass boat trailer?

    • @MrAcekoomboom
      @MrAcekoomboom  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Daron Lewis yes it is. Hub and drum are 2 different things. I took the old style disc off and installed the new style disc on. Always disc brakes.
