  • For maximum performance after installing or servicing trailer brakes, air must be bled out of the hydraulic brake lines. This video demonstrates how to manually bleed the brake lines on a tandem axle trailer which is equipped with UFP hydraulic disc brakes on one axle.

    This video was very helpful. Just accidentally destroyed my emergency bake cable and need to replace it. This video will help me bleed my brakes afterwards. Thanks.

    Thanks for the tip. Much easier then using muscle to cycle the MC. You guys should do a video on replacing the components in these actuators. A lot of them are welded to the trailer and have to be taken apart. I just had to teach myself how to replace the shock in there .

    You need to upgrade your instructions to include usage or non usage of DOT-5 silicon brake fluid. I use it in 2 vehicles & the stuff is very good in vehicles that don't get driven much, like RVs. DOT-5 doesn't have the affinity for moisture like DOTS 3 & 4.

    My single axle trailer only has a bleeder valve on one side. How do I bleed the side that doesn’t have a bleeder valve? Or do I just bleed the one side and that will remove the air from both sides?

      Are you sure you have brakes on both sides?? Some small single axel trailers only have one single break on one wheel.

    @dexter axles, what about a gooseneck when the reservoir is all the way at the top of the neck. Tough to get that below the caliper.

    Where does the blue wire go

    • @VroomZOOM
      @VroomZOOM 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      from your 5 pin wiring plug on the trailer side it goes to the brake lockout solenoid which is a little valve on the output side of the brake actuator that prevents your brakes from locking up when you back up.

    How about showing how t bleed the surge brakes with drum. None of the videos I watch have accurate instructions, don't work. One has written instructions that refer to a non existent drawing. ??? Guess I'll have to wing it
