To be fair, the only part Cascada took from Reilly was the hook, the rest they came up with themselves. Much like Kevin’s metal lines in this version, which were all written by EC.

Electric Callboy's mix of EDM and Metalcore have been dubbed 'Partycore' by the fans. Always fun, usually comedic. 'Hypa Hypa', 'We've Got The Moves', 'Pump It', and 'Tekkno Train' are good starting places with them.
Not all bands that do growls are any type of metalcore, I do agree that EC is, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary and Six Feet Under aren't metalcore, but Death metal. Black Delilah Murder are Deathcore. Finntroll is pagan metal with Black Metal vocals, Amon Amarth is Pagan/Power Metal with Death Metal vocals. There's so many labels you can put on bands, once they have developed there own sound, I think it should be called there sound.
Oh please do Hypa Hypa, consider doing their Live Stage POV version on their channel, We've got the moves as well same thing
EDM and Metalcore combined was around long before Electric Callboy. It's the context and style that makes it "partycore." EDM is a pretty generic term after all
I've found another way to call their style, and it's "Eurocore". Basically metalcore + european 2000s party music

Considering the band's history and Nico's role in it, this is such a show of appreciation.
The original version came from Maggie Reilly in 1992 and on August 16, 2005 the German dance project Cascada covered the song in hands-up style.

The original chorus, not the verses, which are original to Cascada.
All of us 90s/2000s kids had the exact same reaction, it's just too good. They made it feel modern and it's impossible not to love this if you grew up with the "original".
You gotta listen to ALL 8 versions of Hypa Hypa. The original by Electric Callboy, and the 7 others featuring other German singers/bands. I think you'll really appreciate the one by Axel One.
