I love that this is all becoming more recognized and pushed into the mainstream 🤘🏼 thanks for making this!
Thank you for watching! More to come! 🤘
it's interesting to see in these videos they just don't like the screamers, but actually like the metal instrumentals and experimentation.
That was me 20 years ago when I first got intl metal. I just listened to power/symphonic metal like Nightwish, Sonata Arctica etc - why do they never start with light stuff like that?
Because most metal listeners are either edgy teenagers or edgy teenagers stuck in adult bodies. They just glance over metal that doesnt pander to their self-diagnosed pseudo-depression. Progressive and Power are so much better than any Extreme Metal its unreal@@plantifulalexandra
@@deinemam7115 Oh I wouldn't say better, just different and good for "metal beginners", I love both. :)
Awesome to see some Christian metal bands! Becoming the Archetype, Diamonds to Dust and Impending Doom are some of my favorite bands.
Same 😃
Same bro, especially Diamonds to dust, Impending Doom is what got me into metal though being a Christian and all
I’m not Christian or religious but good music is good music and I was a huge fan of BTA and Impending Doom from way back when. Also some other great Christian metal notables from back then I remember In The Midst Of Lions had some sick breakdowns, For Today, The Chariot, A Plea For Purging, etc I could go on. Like I said good music is good music regardless of religious differences. I’m glad back then they toured with different types of bands as well. You could run up to a show and hear For Today and an hour later get a set from Whitechapel on the same tour.
I was at one of those tour dates with Whitechapel and For Today! To this day it's one of my favorite shows. For Today absolutely killed it. Whitechapel is actually from Knoxville where we're located, and the bassist was a member here at Armor for years.@@Jin_Raiden
For real. Now play them old Norma Jean and get nopes across the board.
Ending with Punisher has to be the best part of this. GOAT song, GOAT band, GOAT breakdown
The unintentional callout to end the video was great lmao
I'm glad someone noticed 😂
The seal with the sax clip had me choking on my drink.. also found some new tunes, Become The Archetype is fucking killer. Cheers
so stoked you used Dreamwake, gotta throw Shrezzers in the next one!
man. hearing the Becoming the Archetype for the first time in a decade truly sent me back. wow. great stuff
Dreamwake is new to me, so thanks you for that. Very cool sound. Reminds me if Peach Club era Emarosa was a metalcore band.
3:08 “is that a female screaming at me “ 🗿💀
more of this, PLEASE!
We're already working on a second one! 🤘
I loved this lmaooo. Found a few new bands which I’m psyched to check out! Dreamwake and Diamonds to Dust were some cool finds
Yoooo, the Becoming the Archetype intro?!?! Chefs Kiss
Whats the name of the song? Its dope, i have to listen to them again.
@@fabianrepple5951that’s what i wanna know
@@fabianrepple5951i found it, it’s called “ransom”
Thank you for throwing Becoming the Archetype in there
i just love a nice tight breakdown where the mix is just so well put together just omg
The fact you all had Dreamwake on here is fucking awesome! I thought I was the only person that loves that band but it’s good to see they’re getting some recognition elsewhere!!!
They're from our state!
this is fantastic. a great selection of bands. i couldn’t believe diamonds to dust made it. one of my favorite bands.
Thank you! Diamonds to Dust rules! 🤘
Dichotomy is my fav BTA album, glad to see it get some pop after almost 16 years.
Yoooo becoming the archetype! Haven't heard them in forever
Their new album is so good 😁
Need to get some Darko, Whitechapel, Between the Buried in Me, Varials and Paleface Swiss on here need those reactions.
The girl needs to hear more
"i feel like im in a noisy tractor trailer and my wife is screaming about how im driving"
i MEAN THATS A PRETTY GOOD VISUAL INTERPRETATION OF KNOCKED LOOSE IF YOU ASK ME LMFAO
DUDE, DREAMWAKE MENTIONED, LET'S FUCKING GOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
🎷🎷🎷
I was about to mention that too! need much more reconigition for real!
The breakdown in punisher is still one of my favourite breakdowns ever. Old VoM were so good.
Oh shit! I was there at that Concert with Becoming the the Archetype. 😂
I'm jealous!
I had never heard of dreamwake and they opened for a concert I went to with night rider. It was easily the craziest show I have ever been to.
I would LOVE to see those two together!
I hope eventually they can dip their toes back in. Thinking on how I got into metal, it was just slowly going from songs with slightly heavy riffs to a yell every once in a while until you reach stuff like DARKO lmao
It was cool to see Becoming The Archetype get some love. seen them in concert many years ago and had to go and listen to them after watching this.
Unreal tournament 1999 sticker goes hard on the laptop
One of the best games ever made 🤘
Never heard Diamonds to Dust before, gotta download them now
big ups for including Dreamwake in this vid
It’s the best thing on earth to watch people who aren’t into metal listen to breakdowns and heavy parts and in just over here bopping my head to it.
As a person who loves Metalcore and some Metal, I personally would never even try to bridge the music gap by showing someone Knocked Loose. I don’t know what it is about them, maybe it’s the ultra hardcore vocals, I just can’t do it. Coming from a guy who absolutely loves Modern Metalcore bands like Bury Tomorrow, Architects, Wage War, Spiritbox etc.
It's the aggression I think, they have a very "dark" sound
I love metalcore and deathcore, deathcore being my preferred genre. I just don't like bryan's vocals.
@@Urvos It's interesting because all of the bands I listed have vocalists that do perform into a very heavy vocal sound, but they never really cross into that dark deathcore vocal type. I think in the bands I listed you can find songs people who don't listen to metal/metalcore would appreciate but yeah. I think if you wanted someone who listens more to Pop or Country to never consider "Heavy music" ever again, showing them Knocked Loose would probably do it haha.
@@Blottski The only band I listen to out of the ones you listed is wage war.
The thing about knocked loose though is are mostly deathcore, but Bryan's vocals are that really aggressive hardcore yell/scream. Deathcore vocals are definitely dark, but I wouldn't always call them aggressive. As where knocked loose's vocals are really aggressive, in your face. Plus the heaviness of the deathcore instrumental, it would definitely steer most people away.
@@Urvos Great point about Knocked Loose. I didn't know how to describe that style but you nailed it. As an aside, I've always used Breaking Benjamin as an "ease-em-in" kind of band personally because for most people half of their songs are "heavy metal" to your average pop or rap music enjoyer haha.
hahaha that girl was so sweet about it!! this was definitely a fun watch
Nice touch with the becoming the archetype intro
Thank you 😁
Song name?
I love metal but I also love how much the old man hates it 😂😂😂
Giving Becoming the Archetype some love!!!!❤❤
metal, especially that with screaming vocals, is so amazing at conveying certain emotions, and wether or not you enjoy the sound of it, its hard to deny metal’s ability to fuel that emotional sensation.
Did anyone else notice at Blessed Be that they pasted the live video over the studio version of the song?
Ha, yeah that's weird. Song is still a banger though.
@@musicfan0022 Oh absolutely
Old man hovering on the mouse like his wife is about to walk in..
Shoutout Dreamwake always with the bangers
Dreamwake was featured in this video?! Since i discovered them i feel like i have been the only person on the planet to know who they are...
Thank you for introducing me to dreamwake
Riding in a noisy tractor trailer hell yeah gramp ! 😂😂
Didn't knew about dreamwake. Thank you ☻
