Momo does a lot of the growling in this track. It's easiest to notice at the bit when Kevin is holding the power cable thing - "I go fucking crazy because I'm waiting for the drop" is Kevin, but right after that "Are you ready?@ is growled again - that's Momo

This collaboration was unbelievable live at FOX_FEST in Japan! The arena full of people went nuts, jumping up and down, and shouting Ra Ta Ta Ta! and Ooh Ooh! I’ve never seen BABYMETAL having so much fun dancing on stage. BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy gave us the happiest and most fun five minutes of our lives. It was magical. I've been having withdrawals. Exactly. It was the party you never want to leave.🤘🦊🤘
I will just add, since you probably dont know, but one of the girls was doing the harsh vocals as well. A new weapon in BM's arsenal. Momometal can do harsh growls. She does the second "are you ready" of the breakdown, and both "everybody" of the final part. Shes the one they swap to during those two everybody's.

I watched a reactor who was at Fox Fest and he said that during METALI for MOMO’s growl of “Are you ready” she delayed it just a bit, surprising Su and Moa. That would be proof that she can growl. 🦊 🖖❤

I love how upbeat and fun the whole thing is, but I think my favourite part is the sweet little harmony between Su and Nico ove the giant disco ball is just a perfect little moment in a great big daft song. Then it all explodes...like it should. Lol I dont know how they keep doing itr, they defined lockdown with Hypa Hypa and that whole EP's madness, then the following summer with We got the moves and Pump it, last year it was Every time we touch and now this...they just have a knack of finding unhinged fun earworms.
This collab sounds so naturally and awesome, I think they should record an album together.
I love everything about this song. I was in a really bad mood at the gym just now. I put this song on and just got completely immersed in it. Improved my mood 150%. Gotta give Momo credit too. She does one of the "ARE YOU READY" and the "EVERYBODY" at the end. Impossible not to love them.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 (Japan time) . Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. EC boys can join BM concerts and BM girls can show up in EC's worldwide 😍
(Just FYI, BABYMETAL also performed "Brand New Day" with Scott and Tim from POLYPHIA. That was amazing, too.)
Nailed it, Chels.... This is 100% going to be my summer anthem. I hadn't even gotten my notification about the song and I already had over 100 plays. I want an entire album of Electric CallMETAL.....
The song itself, I think, its pretty solid. It will probably attract to a much wider audience than both groups nomaly have, which is a good thing. But togehter with the MV it's simply... stellar! I hadn't so much fun watching a MV in decades!
Video was just fun. Epic. Momoko added her harsh vocals in the breakdown too. There's just so many fun moments, like the disco ball helmets, and Babymetal with the Sailor Moon pose towards the end.
Well EC is known for metal core and Babymetal is known for kawaii metal. Maybe this is the start of a new genre of metal, kawaii core or kawaii metal core. Lol
Is it the strongest track in either band's catalog? Certainly not, but boy is it one of the most fun ones. For me, it is definitely going to be one of the songs of this summer. 🔥🕺🏻
I've been thinking for months that if EC were to work with a Japanese band, it would be Hanabie, but these two fit together better than I ever thought they would. So, yes, I also wouldn't mind a larger EP or album of these two together. The whole time I wonder how they would sound together on a more serious song. 🔥🤘🏻

I know nothing about Baby Metal, but I'm sure going to find out now! I love the energy and dancing, especially since Kevin can't really dance, LOL! He just kind of flails around. I love how high the drums are in this mix. David throws in a lot of tasty fills! Loved this. It's this Summer's banger.
They also did a collaboration with Bring Me The Horizon called Kingslayer. They performed it for the first time live in Vegas last month & was epic!! Welcome to the Foxhole lol. 🤘🦊
@@BlazinNSoul I'm amazed by their singing, and dancing at the same time. I've been a bass player my whole life, I couldn't imagine having to play and dance around! I dance like a cardboard cutout of a human, so I'm kinda envious of those who can.

@@aprilkurtz1589I think it depends what era your in. Babymetal is celebrating their 14th anniversary this year. So a lot of material to cover here.
Babymetal has a great Reddit community which is very active. So I won't deep dive to much here. Babymetal has a ton of lore within their music discovery.
Which they are heavily invested in & fun to follow. Kinda like Dethklok Metalocalypse which BM toured with last summer.
Which I saw in Vegas last year & recently at Sick New World Festival also in Vegas. As well as a follow-up recently in San Francisco with Dethklok & DragonForce. (Check out Road To Resistance)

Anyways personally for me & to answer your question I have since come to feel "The Other One" which is their latest album is one of their best. It's show the most growth and maturity and the first album with new member Momoko.
Who is really a force of nature & has elevated Babymetal to new heights. Since losing one of the Kami Band to a tragic balcony accident in 2019.
Along with Yui shortly after due to heath concerns & a suspected compressed disk injury. It left Babymetal to promote their 3rd album Metal Galaxy with only 2 members.
Which was a very difficult time for the band. However one bright spot was Metal Galaxy toping the Billboard Rock Album charts for the first time.
A first for an Asian act ever to top the Rock charts which they still hold to this day. It a great album and was tough picking between this & "The Other One." Yet, ultimately Babymetal has really come into their own on their latest effort.

Along with Su-Metal writing credits with Devine Attack-Shingeki. Maybe one of the most epic metal tracks of the last several years. However, there really isn't a bad album from these ladies. Two of the most epic performances I have ever seen.
Rondo of Nightmare Mischiefs of Metal Gods Along with their Legend 2016 Tokyo Dome performances where flat out ballers!
They even did a Tribute to Dream Theatre"s Dance of Eternity with Tales of Destinies. In it's 128 signature changes. Only performed live once but became a classsic along with so many others.
I also recommend Metal Kingdom from "The Other One" which they performed live at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall last year. Such a brilliant performance as it was like Game of Thrones but live on stage!! Sorry for the long post lol. 🤘🦊🔥

I haven't even bothered to try and read ALL the comments but I'm sure there's at least one more person that agrees with the Will Ramos Electric Callboy collaboration. I've been wishing and hoping for that same thing since I saw Will react to Electric Callboy with Elizabeth from The Charismatic Voice for the first time!!! I love Electric Callboy and in my opinion Will can do absolutely NOTHING wrong it wouldn't be anything other than awesome. Now as far as this collab we just watched goes, I didn't know I needed it but I honestly can not stop listening to it!!! Keep up the great reactions guys

Both bands performed this LIVE in front of 2 sold out nights of 20,000+ at Fox Fest in Japan this past weekend and the crowd went nuts.

Last year I saw Electric Callboy at Big Night Live in Boston the next night I saw Babymetal at MGM Fenway. Two amazing shows!!! I saw Electric Callboy at the MGM Fenway back on May19th 2024, during the show Kevin explained last year while both bands were here in Boston Babymetal visited them and they discussed doing this collaboration and how Ratatata was more or less born here in Bosotn. Both bands had an equal part 50/50 in creating this from what I understand after hearing Tank the Tech give a little info.
The reason the song is so epic is, Electric Callboy wrote the entire thing. You can literally hear their chorus riffs AND David's signature drumming (other than the fact they are also playing the instruments in the video :D)
But they are either gentlemen or got good financial compensation to let the girls have the first billing in the title. They did same thing with Kalle, even though they wrote the entire Castrop x Spandau.
BM are only there to sing that smaller verse and the chorus with Nico.
They did it live on a Japan and twice on German Festival!
The song is just so catchy! THe chorus has like 4 hooks ahahah

I think a lot of people seem to think this is EC featuring Babymetal. That is not the case. It is a true 50/50 collaboration, with input from BOTH groups!
Now that Babymetal is the first name to appear in the title, you will rather suspect that EC will be featured by BM.
But it's a 50/50 colab despite the fact that musically it's more of an EC song than BM, the video was made by EC's Schillo Brothers and the song can only be found on the BM channel. So no additional income from TH-cam for EC's TH-cam channel. In addition, a strict copyright policy through BM. So in my opinion, EC has invested a lot more here and BM are the beneficiaries, since they didn't have to invest much more than some time. Ultimately, EC hopes to achieve more awareness in Japan. However, the advantages here are clearly with BM. At least for now..

I would be most interested in why, despite all the investments on the part of EC, they don't have the song on their channel. Simply because it is an unpleasant condition, a contractual clause on the part of BM. I think EC agreed to everything, even to say it was all 50/50, so fair, although it is not really. All for the hope of becoming successful in Japan as well. It's all legitimate, because that's the way business is. But that's why the interested person, like me, doesn't have to run blindly around and not question anything.
@@TomTomson81 Well, I have the impression they basically wrote and product a song for BM under certain conditions. We know from TankThetech that there a elements in the song especially target for the Japanes market. I am not sure how is the recompensation. They will get attention on their own channel because people get aware of this guys and what they are doing. And not only from Japan. I guess BM still has the larger fan base world wide. In Europe is EC bigger. Will there be a big Japan Tour in the future. Idk. But to share the income of the views of the video seems at last easy to implement.

Because iine was released on March 7, 2012, before EC 1st album.
EC had only an EP when iine came out. So they were popular or Koba knows some underground things or it was just some marketing words to hype this collab.
