Y'all in turkey should really look back to what happened in Indonesia 2 years ago asap, at this rate the foolishness will end in the same tragic way as it did over there.......
The tragedy in Indonesia back in 2022 was considered the worst football disasters, with the number of casualties easily overwhelms the likes of Heysel and Hillsborough. It's very sad to see that hundreds of football fans (Arema FC) died because of crowd crush, which happened after the police fired the tear gas on the stadium's stands. Not to mention, the crowd control system during the public events with larger crowds was questioned at that time after another tragic event during the Halloween party at South Korea (I think).
Punching the referee in face as manager and then explaining that he only planned to spit in his face? In any sane place that would surely cause as loss of license.
Right. As a non-Westerner, I find it strange how people criticise/mock Western culture and history while ignoring the absolute craziness that goes on in other parts of the world in the modern day.
@@TheWoollyFrog Turkey may be European but not really western. They aren't automatically the same. Plus I wasn't just referring to Turkey in particular but to much of the world in general.
As an Indonesian, you should rewind back to what happened in 2022. The East Java derby game between Arema and Persebaya resulted in a tragic football events that will never be forgotten. After Persebaya beat Arema 3-2 at Kanjuruhan Stadium, the home fans didn't accept their painful defeat against their big rivals and started to invade the pitch, while Persebaya and Arema football staffs were evacuated. What followed was a horrific scenes that changed the football a lot in our country. The police reacted violently by firing tear gas in the stands, creating a mass panic that resulted in one of the worst football disasters, with the number of deaths really overwhelms the Heysel and Hillsborough. The tragic event really shocked the entire world that FIFA had almost banned Indonesia (PSSI) for competing in the world stage, just like in 2015, when we were disqualified for some kind of intervention with the government. Thankfully, with the new leadership of Erick Thohir, our football is growing up, with the national team playing better in the most recent's Asian Cup and had won the gold medal of SEA Games the last year.

@@izu1907 I watched bith games live. The game in Kadikoy was no where close to the game in Trabzon. First of all there where no provocative statements from the Trabzonspor staff members. Also there was no player (like Mert Hakan Yandas) who was continuesly provocing the Fenerbahce fans from the sideline. Also Trabzonspor did not provoce the Fenerbahce fans after the last wistle! Look, i dont talk right what is wrong. What has happened in Trabzon should not have happened. But you, as a Fenerbahce fan, are only focused on what is wrong from your (Fenerbahce’s) point of view! You dont see the damage Fenerbahce is causing because they cant become champions. Im a Galatasaray fan and i would not be hurt if Fenerbahce becomes champions… but then again you must become champions… by playing football! Not because you (as fan) or your staff (Ali Koc/Ugur Dundar) can shout the hardest! Your Fenerbahce had many games given into their hands by discutable decisons. At least a handfull games has been won by Fenerbahce because of non excisting penalties, or penalties not given to the opponents. But even then im fair enough to say that Fenerbahce would eventually won those games. But you (Fenerbahce) are at this moment behind because you couldnt win easy games at home (and this will probably cost Fenerbahce the championship this year). Your team is damaging Turkish football by becomming something what you are not! You try to be unfair, you try to derail Turkish football by shouting redicilous stuff (like we are forfeiting from the league) and stating that Galatasaray is a national problem! You need to figure out why Fenerbahce is the most hated club in Turkiye! You cant pay people to hate someone, there is a cause why Fenerbahce is hated by almost everyone who does not support that club! But instead of working towards these bottlenecks your Fenerbahce preferes to shout and take any and every wrong decision thats possible!

As a Fenerbahçe fan, I am deeply hurt by these events. It hurted me so much when you said "it may be a normal season for Turkish football fans". Actually no, throwing things to the pitch and lighting flares has always happened but punching an official or invading the pitch in a scale like this is frightening for the future of Turkish football. The worst part is even if Fenerbahçe decides to leave the superleague, I don't think the current football federation is capable enough to understand the reasons why and try to change what has been wrong with the TSL for many years
He actually waited for the fan to be handcuffed and put on the ground by security, then he jumped on him a punched him, Trabzonspor president publicly declared Bright Osayi-Samuel & Jaden Oosterwolde cowards in a press release.
Something exactly similar almost happened last season with Barca, when they were celebrating the La Liga title after winning the game at the stadium of their local rivals, Espanyol FC, and the fans rushed onto the pitch and even tried to storm the players tunnel

My family used to work with Fenerbahçe when the chairman in question was in charge (in fact, we still handle his personal travels and whatnot). The whole thing was a massive fiasco, where at the end of the day, there wasn't a definitive verdict because the entire thing devolved into a political scandal involving the prosecutor who had brought the case against the club being part of Gülen's movement, and said movement being exposed for corrupting the judicial system for revenge suits. To cut a long story somewhat short, islamist movements in Turkey have historically been repressed by the military in the country, and once Erdoğan took power, the Gülen movement, which had backed him financially and in terms of developing the tactics that allowed his party to gain popular support to win the election, cut a deal in which judicial appointments made were from lawyers from the Gülen movement (just like how it works in the US with Republican and Democratic nominees). This paved the way for lawsuits, both with ones that had merit and ones that were bogus to be brought against army officers in order to root out hard-line secularists and old political enemies from the army. Where this comes into play with regards to Fenerbahçe is that the former chairman, Aziz Yıldırım, owns And operates a business that handles NATO infrastructure in Turkey and abroad, meaning he has close ties to the military, which made many in the Gülen movement want to get rid of him because he occupied a position, as chairman of the club, that held massive social power. So, yeah, plenty of shady politics, and I still don't know whether any match fixing actually happened, even though I'm personally inclined to believe that there hasn't been, as Yıldırım has denied it both in private and in person as far as my knowledge goes 🤷 Oh, and yeah, Fenerbahçe's stadium is absolute prime real estate, and if you know how financial corruption works in Turkey, you can probably tell that the government was also very keen on having someone who'd be willing to sell the grounds as chairman 👌
It has never been only football… The Gülen movement has some problems with Fenerbahce since Fenerbahce fans were the first movement in Turkey who stood up against Gülen movement, together with their arrested president Aziz Yildirim. Yildirim also warned the government and media publicly, that this now is only a match fix in scandal, but will result in much more bigger things. Later on there was this coup attempt by Gülenists, so Yildirim was right. Besides that Fenerbahces president nowadays is Ali Koc, member of the Family Koc and chairman of turkeys biggest family holding. He clearly has some problems with the current government since his family were also linked to some military equipment stuff. In 2013, when there was the famous gezi park protests in Istanbul, leading to violence between police and protestors, Ali Koc opened his Hotel on Taksim Square Istanbul for wounded protestors. That’s were everything began, in the eyes of some government officials. Ali Koc since then is some kind of persona non grata standing symbolically for the opposition against current Erdogan regime. You can see that also when you look at the canceled super cup finals in Riad, Saudi Arabia. The decision for not playing the game could have almost result in a diplomatic crisis between Turkey and KSA. Even though not playing the game was decided by both Galatasaray and fenerbahce, government related media and journalists like Abdulkadir Selvi tried to hold only Ali Koc, president of fenerbahce, accountable for that crisis. No one talked about Galatasaray and their president Dursun Özbek, who also took part in the decision, but has strong ties to the AKP government. This again shows that there is some kind of tensions between Fenerbahce/Ali Koc and some parts of the government. So it’s really not about football. It’s purely about politics.
Correct, and additionally Gülen movement has close ties with Galatasaray, and it's footballers. So they don't have one reason to attack Fenerbahce, not only Aziz Yildirim.
@Arigatoopolitico Gulen never supported galatasaray or any other team. He utilized every trick in the book to get what he wants, he used players, managers, politicians, government officials.. he built a system which educated poor kids, got them to all kinds of positions in the government and business. From military to police, justice system to football they were everywhere and were nonstop growing. He explains himself how he realized the power of football in turkey, seeing fenerbahce fans waiting 5 am in the morning at the stadium for the tickets as he got out of a mosque after morning prayer. He thought if he got such football teams in the palm of his hand, it would be a great weapon so he used one method for Galatasaray, another for Fenerbahce and probably for others aswell. In Fenerbahce's case it was Aziz Yildirim himself who got them into the club, planning to use them to get stuff done when he needed. In the end these people were throwing whoever they wanted in prison and keeping whoever they wanted safe.. They were at the core of the justice system and they could fix anything. You could even fix matches and get away with it. But they were interested in using, benefiting from fenerbahce, just like Aziz was planning to benefit from them. Interests were in conflict and things kicked off. After all, they collected a bunch of real evidence, in an illegal way. It became political, and they "cleared the names of fenerbahce officials" not by defeating the evidence but by disqualifying it.
As a Turkish football fan, I just gave up on Turkish football at this point. It's utter bullshit and fucking disgrace to this sport. I lost faith in federation, the football community and fans in this country, all of it. I hoped things might change in the next season but no every season became worse than the previous season and every executive talks about it but does not act on it. I believe that executives and government wants this charade to go on at this point. They can do whatever they want. Lastly, I WANT(Yes in caps) FIFA and UEFA to give every possible punishment and sentence to this league, the federation and the teams. We deserve every oncoming punishment. It's utter f**in bullshit.
Almost a similar thing would have happened last season in La Liga, after the derby match between Espanyol and Barcelona. Barca won the match at Espanyol's home ground and were celebrating on the pitch when Espanyol supporters started to storm the pitch. Luckily everyone were evacuated before the situation got bad.
Nah when this happens in Spain its just an incident, when it happens in Turkiye its a disgrace to football. I think hooliganism has been on the rise since covid. There's evidence of that. There are other instances outside of Turkey of fans charging the pitch to attack rival players - Espanyol - Barcelona last season for example. Clubs need to be doing more to protect those on the pitch from fans in the stands, especially in high stakes games like these when there is evidence of violence stemming from fixtures like this.
I think there's been an overall rise in just general sociopathy in a lot of walks of life, not just among football fans. I've heard a lot of people say "It feels like we've forgotten how to act around each other" over the last couple of years. It's sad because you'd think after a couple years of not being around other people, we'd want to be together more, not want to antagonize and separate ourselves.

Pierluigi Colina used to make extensive analysis before each match, looking at player behaviours, strategies regarding time wasting or errors to stop counterattacks, which players were most likely to commit sneaky fouls to injure players etc. but also the reaction of supporters. He was far more likely to stop a game if he knew the home club supporters had a history of behaving badly (throwing cups, bottles, etc.). This is one of the reasons why he had a reputation of being fair and demand respect. So imho referees need to be objective and don't hold grudges, it is logical to keep a closer leach and a closer look depending on the situation.

This referee needs to be dismissed or sent to referee in the lowest division. He should have stopped the match for a warning when cups were thrown on the pitch and called the game off when flares were on the pitch. I understand and enjoy when fans are passionate in supporting their club but you're only damaging your own players and club by this behaviour. Referees in Europe are so weak, they end up fueling bad feelings in the stands. Was at a match at the weekend and the ref didn't give a card for one foul and then booked one of the subs for standing in the technical area. They only lose the respect of everyone by these stupid actions. If the standard of referees was better, everyone would not feel angry and be calmer and enjoy matches more.

As a Turk and a Fenerbahçe supporter... I seriously don't know how to react anymore.... The only thing I can say from my opinion is that it is mire our FA'S problem if we or some other clubs seriously threatens to leave for another league! 4 incidents in the Süper Lig only this season. The worst of all is that supporters and the Turkish clubs don't even trust the Turkish FA anymore because its board is literally only consisting of clowns! That's why I see this problem more as the FA'S problem right now and therefore no longer have the ability to react to new incidents during the season... So if the "withdrawal from the Süper Lig" thing is serious... The consequences of it will be unprecedented with some severe domino effects! It's sad that we reached a low point like this. Sure, our FA board may be the greatest joke of all time. But at least some things were starting to go on the direction again... Like the performance of the Turkish clubs in Europe since 2022, which lifted us up from the 20th spot to the 9th spot in the coefficient rankings in only 16 months... And now this happens after 3 other incidents in December :-(.

But if you do decide to leave that day should be declared as a public holiday- sort of like the second independence day
@CapaJr If we leave, U guys would probably join us with Beşiktaş to create some sort of a break away league considering the financial dependence on our presence for literally every team... That includes U guys in Galatasaray, too 🤪. So no, a celebration on our eventual departure from your side (Which won't probably happen)... Will be extremely costly for U guys, which will make U guys probably cry after us to come back, considering how everyones financial meltdown would accelerate 🤪. Therefore, it's more likely that a PL-Style break away league gets created by Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Beşiktaş or the other not so likely scenario but still the 2nd most likely one... Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and Beşiktaş apllies to join leagues such as Serie A or Ligue 1. Bayern Münich almost did that once. And yes, it's not the 1st time threats like this are made by club chairman's from us and even you guys. But if we happen to be serious about it... The AK Party (Turkey's leading party) MP at the press conference even brought up the match-fixing scandal, in response to which Beşiktaş released a statement criticizing him (Fenerbahçe hasn't released anything the last time I checked). The Turkish Football Federation's Professional Football Disciplinary Board has also not yet released anything regarding any punishments for the events. Turkish football has just become a joke at the administrative level, and of course it has been for quite a while. But what has happened recently is peak.

The conclusion I draw, regarding the minimal police presence,is that Trabzonspor WANTED something to happen. The Fenerbahçe players didn't help their cause by celebrating as the away team. They should have just gone into the tunnel after congratulating each other. It still doesn't justify the Trabzonspor supprters' behavior

Fenerbahçe faced significant challenges when allegations of match-fixing surfaced, leading to judicial actions that were controversial. The situation was exacerbated when a judge involved in penalising Fenerbahçe later fled Turkey and was charged with terrorism-related offences, was allegedly connected to Fethullah Gülen, a figure wanted by Turkish authorities and living in the USA, raising questions about the motivations behind the allegations and the fairness of the judicial process. These events occurred in a highly politicised context, with claims that certain politicians, government agencies, and officials might have orchestrated the situation to target Fenerbahçe. The subsequent arrest and public humiliation of the club's president and players, with reports of them cleaning toilets in prison, attracted widespread criticism and raised concerns about the proportionality and motive behind the punishments. During this period, under Zico's management, Fenerbahçe achieved significant success, including reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League. In the aftermath, Fenerbahçe struggled to rebuild its team, facing ongoing challenges, including what some perceived as unfair treatment by football authorities and officials. For instance, the club went a significant period of a year and a half without being awarded a penalty, and a crucial final deciding match was delayed for over half an hour due to organised pitch invasions taking away the chance of winning the league. The shooting incident involving the team bus driver highlighted the serious security concerns for the club and its members. Such events contributed to a narrative that Fenerbahçe, which many see as representing the modern, secular values of Turkey as founded by Atatürk, is being targeted due to its independence and refusal to align with various power groups, including what is sometimes referred to as the deep state, or with organised crime. Despite all legal charges being dropped and the team being cleared of all wrongdoings, the team never received much-deserved compensation for the financial and reputational damage suffered. Contrary, the team has been under constant attack for over nine years. The pitch invasion and Trabzon FC supporters' attack on players during and after the game are just a tiny part of the iceberg. We, the Fenerbahce supporters and the club, do not bend down for the mafia or domestic or foreign terrorists. We want what we deserve, not trophies handed to us by the mafia. Hence, we are under attack. Hope this summarizes what we are going through.

This situation reminds me of what happened here in México in the Queretaro-Atlas match. The "rivalry" was born in the early 2010s as Atlas won a match in the Corregidora relegating Queretaro. In 2022, before the match, Atlas fans where heavily searched by security, not even alowing them to bring coins into the match, while also intentionally not separating the Ultras bus from the rest of the parking lot (its supposed to be protocol). And in the match Queretaro fans started attacking fans, men, women and children. After that people escaped to the pitch, where the chaos continued. Its rumored people died but the government hid it, today we dont know if its true. We only know that there werent enough cops in the stadium (who gave a blind eye at the begining of the situation and that the private security that was employed was a complete joke, with the only requisite to work with them was an ID. Some people say it was a narco fight that was masked as a football thing. Its just weird to see the lack of cops and the light reaction to the situation, it almost feels like it was planned
What is the fault of the person who was attacked? The same match is not a problem in Istanbul. However, Trabzon is problematic. It has been problematic throughout history. That's why there are so many police officers. But this time there was no police

Don't know anything about the Turkish league but if fans are constantly interacting with the pitch and play it definitely seems like this is a very dangerous game to play.
The error which shows your lack of understanding of traditional rivalry is that you DO NOT ever celebrate a victory in the centre circle at the ground of your opponent. I'll be frank, I support galatasaray so I am probably biased against fenerbahce, however I wanted to say this, please go through all the fenerbahce matches this season and have a look at how many goals they seem to score in extra time right at the end of the game, like i said I am aware of my bias, it just seems really fucking fishy that there is a trend of scoring goals last minute.
Is it getting to the point where games will have to be played behind closed doors? Or maybe with half crowds and double police? Things can't go on like this.
Although all the reasons mentioned in the video do get talked about as reasons in Turkish media a few more recent things happened to fuel this situation and as a fan of the superlig since 1998 i truly think recent events caused this rather than decade old reasons; -A week before the Trabzonspor - Fenerbahce game Fenerbahce was playing against a Istanbul club called Pendik, during this game Fenerbahce's Mert Hakan Yandas disrespected Pendikspors coach Ibrahim Uzulmez during his goal celebration, after the game Pendikspor coach Ibrahim Uzulmez said at his press confrence 'Let's see if Mert is man enough to do such things in Trabzon' -After hearing these comments Fenerbahces Mert Hakan Yandas made a statement on the lines of 'I'll do whatever I want wherever I like' Trabzon fans felt taunted because of this. -Also Fenerbahce board member Baki did a interview after the Pendikspor game where he critisized the referee for not taking Fenerbahces side enough in 50/50 decisions, this was seen by Trabzonspor fans as putting pressure on the ref against them in the following week.
Amazing coverage but some more history has to be added. Since the very fisrt years that trabzon became a title contender in 70's it was always us who gave them competition not gala or bjk. In 96 we beat them away in a decisive match and 2 of their fans commited s..de. in 2005 we competed again we won again and one of their best ever squads dissolwed afterwards. With that kind of an history i can understand them hating us. This is football, passion is part of the game but you can not assault players. and this is not the first time it's not even the 41st time. Something radical has to be done about trabzonspor holiganism asap.

So, yeah, plenty of shady politics, and I still don't know whether any match fixing actually happened, even though I'm personally inclined to believe that there hasn't been, as Yıldırım has denied it both in private and in person as far as my knowledge goes 🤷
Oh, and yeah, Fenerbahçe's stadium is absolute prime real estate, and if you know how financial corruption works in Turkey, you can probably tell that the government was also very keen on having someone who'd be willing to sell the grounds as chairman 👌
Aziz başkanıma çok selamlarımızı söyleyin. Dönmesini büyük bir heyecan ve umutla bekliyoruz.
Correct, and additionally Gülen movement has close ties with Galatasaray, and it's footballers. So they don't have one reason to attack Fenerbahce, not only Aziz Yildirim.
Gülen isn't even an islamist, it's literally a sect using Islam to gain supporters. No one likes Gülen in Turkey. Not even the most hard core muslim.

Pierluigi Colina used to make extensive analysis before each match, looking at player behaviours, strategies regarding time wasting or errors to stop counterattacks, which players were most likely to commit sneaky fouls to injure players etc. but also the reaction of supporters.
It's Trabzon, there is nothing surprising. They are known for finding lows as a whole city not just the sports club. If I speak about Trabzon, I'm in big trouble.
Now I’m intrigued. Pls speak
@@ValyrianPrince Let me explain it to you briefly. Trabzonspor is a disgusting community that has a lot of debt and its debts are erased by the state every time. Although Fenerbahçe was the champion in 2011, the Turkish Football Federation sent Trabzonspor to the Champions League instead of Fenerbahçe, and Trabzonspor finished last in the group. Trabzonspor could not become champion despite match-fixing in 2011. They shot Fenerbahçe bus in 2015. They blame Fenerbahçe for every failure they achieve
@@ValyrianPrince Turkish politics and Turkish organized crime is dominated by a lot of people from Trabzon. That's the easiest way to explain it.
@@ValyrianPrince Don't believe a word that these fanatical fenerbahçe hooligans write here. Actually, FB fans are the terrorists of Turkish footbal. Just se@rch for "fenerbahce polis" and you'll see what kind of fanatical idiots they are. They are not afraid to set police cars on fire, they have even burned down their own stadium. Despite the UEFA CAS match-fixing ruling against fenerbahce, fenerbahce was not punished by the Turkish Football Federation. They were also protected by turkish politicians because they have more fans and therefore more voters. Although this club has so much dirt on them, they are not ashamed to accuse Trabzon of this.
@@ValyrianPrinceThese guys hate, because they’re jealous.
I've watched the Copa90 doc on Trabzon. So i kinda see how and why those fans in particular would do something like this. On the other hand, incidents like this can't happen, and with the Turkish leauges history of repremanding Trabzonspor, i can see them getting a really big punishment for this.

Great video ofc, but I feel like it would've added more context for the rivarly that a couple years ago, maybe like 2016-2017 season, fener beat them 4-0 at home and the referee was assaulted by a fan at the end of that game too.
As a Turk and a Galatasaray supporter- your team would %100 wouldnt withdraw its a classic bluff that your previous chairman’s also resorted to in the past so that they get no punishment.
I wonder how your team will start to react when you guys start to see an accelerating financial meltdown by our departure...

In this sort of situation i think its best to play in an empty stadium. And the referees i don't think will be investigated
The situation in Turkey is different. Referees are given awards. Islamic religious people hate Fenerbahçe, the secular team.
They should have listened to the guy who said that they should exit the field. Some rivalry games are still real rivalries and will lead to stuff like this and the players should have known that. Fans are crazy, no matter where you go and they have nothing to lose, so they will do stuff like this.

Even if it's a brief overview of the situation, the video is absolutely splendid in portraying how the things unfolded in a neutral way. Massive respect for the research!
Btw, as an update, the Trabzonspor president and some local MPs held a press conference just today where they accused the Fenerbahçe players and staff for being behind the events during the game.
5:00 just think about it, your team bus gets shoot at, the bus driver gets injured had has luck to stop the bus before it falls down to the sea and the case is unsolved for years. i have biggest respect to football players to join Fenerbahce. the turkish dictatorship doesnt like this team and there is no safety for the football players.

As a Turk this is a stain on our community and our nation needs to do better. Just plain disgraceful regardless of circumstances this should NEVER happen.
Awww; so happy you’re repoing Maqwell, you two are both my favorite soccer boys.

great great research and analysis, very accurate
many years ago, a friend of mine played football in third division; one day, on the beach, he got mad for some reason to another guy, and we, his friends, tried to stop him; he dragged four of us without even notice it, to reach his opposer. That's to say, a regular people should never have a confrontation with a real athlete, because it will end very bad
Let me just put it like this: Fenerbahce has historically been the most secular club in Turkey. As you can understand, some people are against this... The story goes much, much deeper. You would need a whole documentary to really explain the depth of the issue.

Just an average day in Turkish football.
I cant underdtand why the game wasn't stopped. There is no other appropriate reaction to fans injuring players midgame.
Anything else is absolutely unfair and just leeds to more and more of those situations.
because the referee was scared sh*tless before the game and he got the job specifically for this reason. he's afraid his refereeing days would be over if he stopped the game (which was a certainty btw - if you look at the referees who simply did their jobs fairly instead of butchering Fener and what they got). Moreover he was scared for his life because Trabzonspor hooligans are a bunch of what you see in the video: a lynching mob that's politically used. Everyone knows this including Fenerbahce players. They played this game as sheep getting ready for slaughter. They gave 0 reaction to constant objects being thrown. It was beyond sportsmanship, it was being threated for their lives. So when fans finally came for their lives all they could do was fight back.

Fenerbahçe is fighting against a corrupted organization which has so much roots in both sports, politics, terror and media. It has deep connections and sympathy with the teams Galatasaray, Trabzonspor and some others. Getting unbelievable priveleges from the current government for years and even with all the solid cases, they are being protected. Fenerbahçe wanted to withdraw from Turkish League with all the fans and congress support although they have a successful season. Because of this dirty set up that's been operating between Galatasaray and this terror organization, all Turkish Football Federation, all its referrees, even the local authorities and polices are working against Fener. in April 2nd, it's gonna get announced.

Hey there! Greetings from Turkey! You know, the turkish football has come to a new low. No away fan can watch a derby in Turkey, even in second tier football, because last season a göztepe fan was hit by a flare shot from the away tribune in göztepe vs. altay match and barely survived! Politics involved, ok I can see that; but everyone is in a complete berserk and another heysel or kanjuruhan disaster is on the way. Please help us! I am a 41 yr old supporter who can't go to the matches of my own team for over ten years!
Trabzon fans have been notoriously violent whenever they lost to Fenerbahçe before 2011 as well. The reason they've not been commiting this barbarity is that they haven't been losing in their home turf against Fenerbahçe for a long time now
It's kind of a "The non-Balkan mind cannot comprehend this" situation. In the Balkans (Turkey included) some water bottles or a few flares are not a good enough reason to stop a match.
3RD world country basically.
I was at the Fenerbahçe match just before this. Amazing experience.
Average day in turkey:
Thank you Adrian. You explained everything perfectly.
FB Kurtuluş savaşında etkin rol oynadı. Kurtuluş savaşının intikamı peşindeler Not: Atatürk sanıldığının aksine FBye rastgele gitmemiştir. Kurtuluş savaşını başlatmadan bir yıl önce gitmiştir.
Why any of these teams are even still allowed to compete in Europe is beyond me.
What is the fault of the person who was attacked? The same match is not a problem in Istanbul. However, Trabzon is problematic. It has been problematic throughout history. That's why there are so many police officers. But this time there was no police

The error which shows your lack of understanding of traditional rivalry is that you DO NOT ever celebrate a victory in the centre circle at the ground of your opponent. It's sacred ground and 100% they knew what they were doing. Brought it on themselves. Osayi-Samuel lucky to make it to the tunnel tbf. He gets taken down, he is trapped and dies.

Another reason not visit turkey
Although all the reasons mentioned in the video do get talked about as reasons in Turkish media a few more recent things happened to fuel this situation and as a fan of the superlig since 1998 i truly think recent events caused this rather than decade old reasons;
-A week before the Trabzonspor - Fenerbahce game Fenerbahce was playing against a Istanbul club called Pendik, during this game Fenerbahce's Mert Hakan Yandas disrespected Pendikspors coach Ibrahim Uzulmez during his goal celebration, after the game Pendikspor coach Ibrahim Uzulmez said at his press confrence 'Let's see if Mert is man enough to do such things in Trabzon'
-After hearing these comments Fenerbahces Mert Hakan Yandas made a statement on the lines of 'I'll do whatever I want wherever I like' Trabzon fans felt taunted because of this.
-Also Fenerbahce board member Baki did a interview after the Pendikspor game where he critisized the referee for not taking Fenerbahces side enough in 50/50 decisions, this was seen by Trabzonspor fans as putting pressure on the ref against them in the following week.
Seen it so many times in that league lol
this is a review much better than the domestic ones. very impressed . no biases.
Söylediğin doğru değil. Trabzon lige çıktığında teröre başladı. Yani Trabzonla ilgili sorun Trabzonun kurulup lige çıkmasıyla başlayan bir süreç
