Thanks! I filled the holes with some mesh and spackle then i tried to paint the area with color coded spray cans, but the result wasn't great because the color on the care didn't really match the spray cans. So i had a friend of mine who worked at a body shop do a proper paint job and he did a amazing job since i really could't tell that it was anything done to the boot. Hope this helps.

@@danieldaemi helps a ton. i think i'll just have the removal and fill-in done by a proper body shop to make things simpler. thanks again, and wishing you all the best!
So I took the nuts off, but damn spoiler doesn't come off! I'm banging on those studs to pop it off and nothing. Am I supposed to unscrew the studs to? Look like they have a reverse star pattern on them
Thanks for the video dude, I'm in two minds if I should buy a mk1 or mk2 TT for my channel as a little project and getting ideas together! The spoiler looks good, but I think I'd choose gloss black. Are you keeping or changing the wheels? Get some more videos up of the car and your work you've done.
Well my plan originally was to first buy the mk1 then later on a mk2, but those plans have changed. I've decided that this is gonna be the last year with the TT , then i'm gonna move on to the Audi A3. I would love to buy a mk2 some where in the future because i just love the design of it. Oh and those wheel are just my winter wheels as well as the rear lights, i have much nicer looking wheels and light for the summer :D
@@danieldaemi Do you not like the Audi s3? I had the 8p shape its on my channel think its had around 200,000 views they are a really popular car. I'll keep you up to date if I buy a mk1 or mk2 lol
@@CraigsChannel Yeah that one of the a3:s i'm thinking about. I think going from the TT to a A3 it's important that the A3 isn't to slow since i've gotten used to a bit of power when i step on the pedal :D
hey quick Q where did you purchase your aftermarket spoiler from, also by anychance did u take a pic of what the damage was like after the removal, like does it need to be repainted (did you repaint yours). thankyou and cant wait to hear back :)
Hey! I bought my spoiler off of maxtondesign, great prices. Well the area underneath was painted but the adhesive wouldn't let go, so I sanded mine down and had it repainted. Will see if I find some pictures 👍
I understand that, but unfortunately i got the idea after the job was done and though i'd give som insight into the process. Hopefully someone can use this information and make a video from beginning to end.
Thanks for the tips! I'm just repainting mine satin black.
Excellent video, thank you. How did you fill in the holes from the original spoiler? What method and material did you use?

Thats a smart move, since the adhesive holding down the spoiler was a real pain to get of.

There is a generous amount of adhesive under the spoiler which you will need to saw though with heat and something like a fishing line. Good luck 👍
Currently having the same issue lol
thanks ✌️👍👍👍
Thanks for sharing! 🍻
Dam thanks for the tips and how to remote 👍👌👌

@@CraigsChannel I'm looking at the a3 because i'm looking for a roadtrip car while low consumption, otherwise the s3 would definitely be an option.
@@danieldaemi You should buy an a3 quattro TDi remap it, that should keep you happy 😊

Hi there, plenty of help, but is it necessary to use a heat gun in order to soften the factory glue for the spoiler to get detached??
Yes definitely, because the adhesive is a pain to remove even with the heat. But a hairdryer would probably work as well 👍

Appreciate the effort but would have liked to see you actually REMOVE THE SPOILER.
