Nilou did most of the damage though. And Mona is probably a better replacement to Yelan and more accessible in this comp, with her own Nuke and/or further boosting Nilou.
@@vixenrana5507 its hard to swirl Hydro with Mona cus her normal attacks arent enough for that, and her skill is to much for that.
Also, C4 Yelan + her talent boosts her dmg more

Also Mona is more work to set up and doesn't scale hp like Yelan so can't take advantage of hydro res like Yelan and Nilou.
Yelan seems to always steal the show on dps showdowns, not that I’m complaining. I just find it hilarious that that she is the fastest way for some characters to defeat a boss.
Nah, she herself being main dps is the fastest team to clear upper half this abyss, i believed it's at 18s with Raiden close to that
Tbf, using Mona here is probably better and more accessible than using Yelan. She has her own nuke and Nilou does more damage too. Before we trash on Nilou for some unknown reason (as many do with Kokomi), she did most of the damage there.

So without Yelan, Nilou was able to kill the 12-3-2 boss with just an additional 6 seconds, honestly that's pretty good and I appreciate him including that run and classified the Nilou+Yelan run as a bonus run.
She needs 6s more of damage, yes. That's different than completing it in another 6s, because this boss goes invisible and needs to be revealed with a catalyze reaction (or by destroying one of the options it spawns). In practice, the Nilou team probably would have needed ~15-20s more because of the boss mechanic.

Yelan is just too damn strong man.
She shouldnt be allowed in dps showdowns especially if shes c6, she just gobbles everything up with her insane dmg 😂, nothing is left for the main character thats being showcased.
Unless ofcourse if shes the one being showcased. Or maybe a c0 Yelan can be allowed there, but even then her skill and ult still does very big dmg.
Or Kazuha. Its never about the new character. Its always those fully decked out meta characters.

@@jevonrodgers4599 I have raiden and yelan c6 and raiden can do huge dmg but yelan is way faster in general and can still kill enemies without having to use her burst making her more flexible. Both greatly contribute to other team members. My favourite two characters
Itto really is such a consistent DPS. He can basically fight any enemy, and is good is every situation be it single target or AOE. This just proves why he is still my favorite charcter to play in the whole game.
Until you have to deal with elemental shields
@@Aliens1337 what? Itto is able to kill abyss heralds very easily with no danger to himself. Not as fast as the correct elements but consistently enough to clear any abyss chamber with them. And never having to worry about taking damage

Yep. Fully agree. Got frustrated from being one shot with level 60 Collei and Nilou being one-shot in Abyss 12, so I just pulled out Itto and breezed though.

I wanna see another dps showdown with yae since she’s been pretty disrespected since her release
She is good in quicken teams with fischl traveler healer/zhongli(better than anemo healer)/collei/nahida (but surviving is hard af)
She and tighnari are my favorite trouble duo for quicken teams, they are so fun to use together, but iwtl would probably use collei :c, but in my opinion yae is the aggravate queen, while cyno is a beast in quickbloom

C6 Nilou is crazy fun, but I noticed you didn't always utilize her C4. You should have used her melee stance skill FIRST to buff her Burst by 50% for 8s. It actually does a lot more damage and could have shortened her times significantly
By the time it takes to complete I guess bursting first makes it better.
@@Grim_Bud you can span the skill if you use her normals, so it doesn't take that long. Plus a 50% damage boost, especially with C6 is definitely more beneficial
@@Grim_Bud Not really. You just have to spam E-E-n1 which is like 2 seconds and it will be enough to let Nilou one rotation the prism. But instead he used Yelan to do that and added 6s with a dumb excuse to the run.

No one tops her like I have her on a not so good build but she still out does my hu Tao vape dmg by FAR like she was one of the best releases and is still relevant since 2.1 or whenever she released she was a blessing onto my account cuz I got her early and won 50/50 after that I had to fight tooth and nail to get characters I wanted ;-;

Still really surprised by how nilou performs in all of these showdown. While she's really not for everyone, I can say that she is way better than what the majority makes her out to be.
Except, in the boss showcases, she's utilizing vaporize, and simply replacing her with Mona or even Childe will yield better times. And in the abyss, her clear times are average at best. Don't forget that the current abyss modifier heavily favors teams with dendro reactions, so Cyno and Nilou damage numbers are already being inflated.
@@richlee6331 It's mostly waiting on Nahida's release for her. Definitely worse scalings on Vaporize but totally viable on them!
@@richlee6331 She is a hydro character & can therefore utilize any reaction to go with her element. It so happens that in "single target" situations, vaporize functions better because of the huge frontloaded reactions.
That being said, by your logic, Cyno is just another electro character & replacing him with probably Keqing would yield better times.
The point here isn't that she isn't the best at vape, he's just maximizing their dmg for speed runs. I think their solo & abyss runs are the only thing we should actually consider cos everything else is usually using a support to help them output huge screenshot damage.
Anyone who says she’s bad or weak is an idiot. She’s strong with shit units that do zero personal damage. Her buff to bloom in AOE is very high. People just hate that the most fun part of her kit, bountiful cores, is locked behind a team restriction. These showcases are also very poor at showing how strong the units are. It’s a speed running whale showcase.
She turned out better than I thought in her niche but too restrictive to me for now, while her other options ask for a lot of investment to works.
I might pull for her rerrun if we get more fitting units for her in the meantime.
I’m starting to think you should use Xingqiu only instead of Yelan for DPS showcases/videos where the purpose is to highlight another character specifically. Due to the sheer nature of a C6 Yelan’s kit, she becomes the highlighted DPS no matter what. The only thing support-wise she provides that Xingqiu doesn’t is a dmg buff with her Q, but even Xingqiu can still make up for it in a way with his C2

I was honestly very surprised by how well Itto did... I never noticed how large his AoE was.
Nilou too seems to be so incredibly powerful, considering her teammates are all free 4-Stars as well!~
Love how itto raw bonking it all. Even though geo is a neither transformative or amplifying reaction. It shows that his actual power is made to compete with others that uses reactions
And yes his no-knockback and huge aoe are the biggest sell point for me. Its the quality of life and makes bonking and rotations feel easy.

I don't really get the majority of Genshin player base. I mean, you can do whatever you want as long as you're happy but for me, as a casual player, instead of focusing on grinding, I'd rather focus on learning the movement of the enemies, as it take way less time than farming trash artefact. I mean it's all good if you can finish the abyss 12 in under a minute easily, but just barely 36 star abyss with whatever character and artefact set feels more satisfying. Also, I was once in the grinding camp but the RNGod is just not on my side and the commitment of grinding to get perfect artefact is something that is beyond me so now I just occasionally jump on Genshin and play whatever content available
@@tonykowalski4189 i see. You should try maining beidou for that purpose of learning enemy attacks with satisfying parries. ive been in that phase as im a beidou main since the release of genshin. Learning most of enemy attacks was my hobby due to playing parry beidou. Gives me lot of satisfaction
But due to life responsibilities i need to play less than 1hour so speedrunning everything with my favorite characters is efficient now for me.
So its up to every player how they want to spend their time in the game
@@shellista9773 That's the neat part, I'm already a Beidou main for a good part of like a year now. At times I also like to shuffle the characters that I use and put whatever artefact and weapon that I already has so things won't get boring but for the most part, I fight new enemies with her. Also, for me,learning enemy move set takes far less time than farming artefact, and in my opinion, you can also enjoy the game casually and doesn't need to speedrun things

Itto is just really good and very dependable and consistent good DPS. He is not the fastest but he is consistent to clear all content

I think in the full abyss Itto was at a disadvantage... gorou's passive with 2 geo instead of 3 means Itto was losing 35% Geo DMG. But also some enemies in the 1st room need kazuha for grouping so idk exactly if that compensates the lack of 35% Geo dmg. Good video as usual.
I agree with u, i think kazuha grouping is enough and bennett can be replaced by albedo. At this level, healing is not really necessary and gorou also can heal a bit too
That’s the team I run and you’re 100% correct. It should be Itto, Gorou, Albedo, and a flex support like Raiden or Kazuha, depending on the situation 😊

Well he did mention that its a team performance not solo tho. And the jobs she did even is only on 1 team and its even not the majority of the damage unlike before. Its like explicitly saying dont use a part of the kit of a unit just to satisfy u no?
@@HSRFirefly Yes and no. Yelan can solo these rooms at his level of investment which is basically maxed out. It's just not fair to other characters to put Yelan in one team because all you need to do is slot her in the other character's team and their times would decrease, regardless of team synergy. Even Itto's time would decrease because his Yelan is just that insane. Xingqiu would have been a better choice because his damage isn't nearly as insane as C6R5 Yelan even if you put R5 Mistsplitter on him.
it's honrstly unfair to use yelan or kazuha in these runs since they would deal atleast1/3 of the damage in cyno and itto's run you could argue that kazuha did the heavy lifting (especially cyno's run)
If Cyno had Yelan on his runs you don’t think his time would be better? He deff should have evened the playing field or taken her out
He didn’t include Yelan in the run as it’s a cut run. Why are you all complaining? It’s fun to see how he maximize team dps speedrun by coming up with strats like vape Nilou to clear a chamber and have Yelan clear the other, he’s still including the non Yelan run so I don’t see what the problem is

Welp. You know, in a game like this, stuff like Raiden who can cheat power moves on herself and moreover so her teammates is always gonna be great. Put dps on said unit, it became broken.
Eventually when bigger number comes Raiden will always be an option because she 'cheats'.
Honkai has even crazier SP filling characters or you call batteries in your game.
Arknights has Myrtle who is sunflower (PvZ) on steroids. 100% usage in CCs. And she doesn't even bring damage.

I do have him at lvl90 but he still deal mediocre damage compared to other selfish dps like Xiao, Itto and even Noelle

1- he never put the characters in their best in slot
2- he never uses the character properly.
Take here for example, nilou is a character who's kit screams to use her in a bloom team.
He didn't even touch her potential.
3- every character have their own part where they shine most.
Eg, nilou is a character who shines most in an AOE scenario and cyno with mostly single targets but he decided to compare both the character against a single type of enemy.
My point is this whole video just worthless since he is comparing 2 character who have their value change drastically in accordance with increasing enemy.
If you want to know what I'm talking about check out his other videos.
Especially that one video about diluc, where he didn't even use him and stated some dumb bs that "This is his best slot, by meaning just not using him"
My thoughts are if you use Yelan (or any other character that uses their own damage to shave off a significant amount of HP) that run should be done once with that character and once with a more traditional comp.
Props to Nilou for letting Barbara and Collei in the spotlight of DPS showdown and NOT DPS slowdown.
Honestly, I don't get why people is always so eager to compare Raiden to other dps. She is meant to be a Nuker and kill things fast. That's why most of her damage comes from a single slash. We already know she is amazing.
There is no point comparing Raiden, with her massive single nuke at the start of her burst, to dps who only buff their attacks like Itto/Cyno and don't do a nuke at the start 🤷♂️

You lost me when the Nilou showcase turned into a Yelan showcase. At this point just put Raiden, Sara and Kazuha on each team then slap the featured character on slot 4 and just play the 3 characters.
Nilou did the most dps here, as you can see other 3 member of her team is on life support the whole fight, while she only lost 30k hp

Once we get a dedicated support for HP% scalers, Nilou is going to get a lot better as a main dps.
@@tubisi I know it might be a while but SURELY not any farther away than fontaine, because the hydro archon will definitely be an HP scaler, and it might be even sooner since we have so many pure HP scalers now, (yelan, Nilou, Candace, kuki, layla) whereas before we only had hybrid HP scalers (Hu tao, zhongli)
Maybe Hydro archon will scale on HP and provides team-wide buff based on HP similar to how Nahida does with EM

Nilo with great artifacts and C6R5 is broken, but in the 12 3 2 run the dmg of Yelan is so insane, so if you throw yelan away, nilou's time is probably as long as Itto's

@@dizzlegrizzle1919 Exactly, she's made for Bloom and destroys groups of enemies. She being competitive as a Hydro DPS is a nice surprise, she still did 70% of the boss in 2 seconds
At least nilou actually did most of the damage and made her feel like the dps which made yelan lean more on sub dps unlike *cough* diluc
Hope people realize that you will get the same time for raiden at her third constellation. You heard that right, C3 not C6. Best power spike per primogems
That monstruous vape damage from Nilou was actually surprising.
But no matter what, this just shows why the Traveller was literally stunned with primal fear, when first witnessing Musou Shinsetsu.
Raiden Shogun remains the GOAT.
this would've been much better with someone like Ayato, Xiao or Yae instead or Raiden. Everyone knows she'll clear fastest so it's redundant to put her here. I would have been more interested to see how the other "mid" dps units fare against Cyno and Nilou. Even a Nilou vs Childe aoe comparision would have been more interesting.

vaporize does that, ayato C6 does that too, and faster... but nilou can't vaporize and also bloom team, and if you really wanted to play ayato do it WITH nilou in a bloom team =)
not like we really need to focus on optimization for abyss... national one side, bloom or freeze the other unga bunga 36 star stars for the past 2 years straight.
This is C6 Nilou mind you, and Ayato not only has a Nuke at C6 as well, but also has faster NA’s that do more damage

yeah, Ayato is not really a nuker. he's the type to have consistent damage all throughout without having to set up every single support for a single nuke

I struggle to see where Bennett giving the ATK boost on top of Itto’s already ludicrous ATK in his burst is more beneficial than 20% Geo RES Shred, 15% Geo DMG Bonus and 20% extra Geo Crit DMG, idk maybe it works out better thanks to crystallise, I just am genuinely curious as to if Zhongli would have been better than Bennett
Yeah, Zhongli would be better. The Itto team really wasn't optimal.. AT ALL. Only 2 geo characters? No snapshot? Bennett...? Itto, Gorou, Zhongli, Flex/Albedo is a much better team comp than Bennett + Kazuha.

its kinda like a c6 noelle vs c0 itto, its fair that at c6 kekin with heavy investment on her and fischl she will have about the same clear time as a c0 cyno team, that's what happnes with most of 4* characters with their 5* version

Raiden is way too good , have fallen in love with her several times now
They should design an Endless Abyss wave stage (like one of that event) to see which team can kill the most with highest score in a fixed time limit, that way it won't be skewed to see which has highest up-front damage, rather a true measure of Damage per Second, sustained DPS over 3mins etc.

I'm definitely gonna pull for him. He is only getting atk buff from gorou and Bennet, whereas cyno and nilou are using reactions and not to mention yelan. Itto and xiao is one of the best hypercarry.

People keep pointing out Yelan this Yelan that but miss the most important part of the video, The full abyss run at the end. Nilou was competent enough to keep up with Cyno and Itto which are already amazing DPSs. She was even running with fricking BARBARA COLLEI AND TRAVELER WITH 4 STAR WEAPONS. Come on man, you don't have to like her but don't discredit her capabilities

She is a good character because she allows a new play mechanics, but this video ignored that for the most part and played her as a vape nuke which is totally dumb.
Also who told you Cyno is a good dps? He's bad. Itto isn't that strong either.
@@amberxv4777 bro the game isn't that hard. Cyno ang Itto can clear the abyss just fine which makes them good. And using Nilou in a vape team isn't dumb. There are a lot of ways to play a character specially with Nilou only having 3 whole characters useable for that "new mechanic" you are talking about. The first part of the video were boss fights which bountiful cores are pretty useless (you'd know that if you have at least a brain cell) and Nilou would look like a piece of shit using weak ass blooms on single target bosses which is a waste of time. You have to adjust your playstyle depending on your opponents. But if your brain is so linear that you NEED to play Nilou with ONLY bloom, then you do you I guess.
I think you should have mentioned that Nilou's Hydro damage is locked behind her constellations, in particular her C6. That being said, her Bountiful Cores have a similar potential at CO and with about a 30% buff from her signature weapon.
I dont think so because if you give her normal crit build she pretty much the same as other hydro dps in vape team but since bloom cant crit its not recomended. C6 is for her max potential to go full hp build
It's not locked behind constellations, because her dps isn't horrible with a hydro crit build. It's just not as good as her bloom build because she's made for it. It's like how Ganyu can work with reverse melt fairly well, but really her best teams are freeze.
Okay, but y'all gotta remember Raiden can nuke. Like her burst alone does damage as opposed to her doing damage while in her burst (she does both). Other characters have animation and you also need to do some relatively time consuming movements to damage the opponent

I feel like while displaying 4 screens at the same time can be chaotic, I think its better in the long term because people can always replay the video if they ever miss anything. And you get the benefits of seeing the comparisons togehter at the same time.

I did the latest abyss floor 12 with cyno and failed last floor; just couldn't get that 3 star . . . But then i switch to raiden and it was just 10x easier . . . Funny thing is my cyno is way more built compared to my raiden, shes still kinda scuffed up with her artifacts
IWNTL should never use C6 Yelan on these showcases. Just use xingqui. If you used yelan to make a character's time shorter, well you might as well use her on the others. I always felt disappointed every time yelan was there because it always became her showcase real fast

The fact that his Nilou's built well, and with c6, that she may vape over 250k - 300k with mona, bennett, and sucrose. But I guess that would actually be unfair for the rest. Overall, great showcase! 💖

this is what i love about nilou's kit. as a player who gets the trashiest of artifacts for my dps units, the bloom team enable me to dish out almost the same damage without the need for crit stats... just punch in some full em stats on barbara, collei, and dmc (with some er), and the go brrrrrrr
Putting Gorou on a team with only 2 geo members doesn't really make sense, you can't get the main buffs he gives. I get why you used Kazuha, but might as well use the 3 geo, or swap out Gorou for Albedo or Zhongli. I haven't done the maths, and there's no way it would have closed the gap with Raiden, but it doesn't seem optimal. Great vid as always though.
His Itto can 2 shot the first half waves even with only 2 geo so it is faster with a grouper than chasing the enemies wasting a couple of seconds, this is a speed run.
@@s4iforshort For multiple mobs yes, for Single target, obviously 3 geo is better.
The flaw of Arataki (and even Cyno) is that they are a bit too Single target, making them weaker against multiple opponents (as per your counter point).

@@s4iforshort Yes I know why he used Kazuha, I’m saying Gorou isn’t that helpful here. I’m assuming it would probably be faster either to swap out Bennett for a 3rd geo member or swap out Gorou for Zhongli or Albedo. I fully realise that Kazuha was necessary to make this as fast as possible. Again though, I haven’t done the maths and could be completely wrong, and it’s not like it would have made much difference anyway. Raiden was always going to be the winner by a wide margin.

@@shachede6828 Zhongli won't give faster clears here. Without Bennett, Kazuha wouldn't be able to wipe off enemies as fast resulting in slower runs. Also Zhongli skill animation is quite long.

@@mik0zlove358 I think Sapwood is better of the 2 bc you don't use her on-field hydro application much. It's better for the bloom team to stack her HP as high as possible (max 75k HP but if you have her signature weapon, you can go higher for her EM buff.), which means you might not get as much EM as build full EM on another hydro character. Any stats other than HP aren't that important if you play her off-field, so Sapwood is better bc it can give EM buff to the one who proc bloom.
In current F2P bloom team of Nilou, DMC, Collei and Barbara. Barbara is mostly the one who proc bloom, so you stack EM on her.

The rarity doesn't really matter when most of the boosting teammates are 4 star characters.
For artifact, I would agree, she doesn't have her own set yet. But knowing how intense her scaling can be at 74K HP (max), they will not focus on that. She will be providing more damage to her E stance and team utility.
When raiden first came out ppl really didn't like her, look at them now. She is just too good.
i dont think this was really the case for raiden... its more for kazuha and kokomi who's kits were WAY overlooked
though one thing people weren't happy about with raiden was with her not being able to synergize with beidou
other than that i cant really think of any other reason why people really disliked her, maybe they thought her damage was "lacking" since she was new (and didnt know how resolve stacks worked)
I think they were just unhappy because they couldn't use Beidou with her. Which is still bullshit btw.
As far as I remember, only few people back then thought Raiden (and Kazuha) that way. I think only Kokomi that majority thought very bad at first, turn out to be very good character.
Every new character receives a negative review. And I don't remember Raiden Shogun being trashed by a large portion of the community. Some of them didn't like her and most of them are just complaining about their zero synergy with Beidou.
if they didn't like her, it's not because of her viability. Raidenational didn't take long to find either. A few days at max.

The result is pretty obvious for C6 characters.
Backloaded damage, eula wins.
Frontloaded damage, raiden/yelan is somewhat tied.
Sunstained damage, yelan wins.
But not all of us has c6...so it's cheaper to stick with raiden if you only consider characters kit.

Cyno isn’t Built for one shot. He instead have 100% uptime unlike Raiden she had 10sec more downtime to reuse her skill.
unfortunately nahida will not work that well with cyno if u have seen leaks very sad maybe some other characters will support him good
@@wuck2226 Cyno’s time is pretty similar to Itto, which makes sense since both of them are on field hypercarries with infusion bursts.
The difference is that Itto is very tanky due to def stacking, geo resonance, ZL shield and Benny heal while Cyno is so much squishier since he has to optimize for DPS to keep up with Itto.
The upside Cyno had is that he’ll get better when more Dendro supports come out, but that could be like another year until we have one that works well with him.

@@wuck2226 that is also his weakness, due to time he needs (which takes a lot of time) to do damage (why need 18secs if you can kill everything within 9s or less), and while you can 100% uptime his burst, it doesn't really suit in a 4 unit rotation at the moment, most of their duration with skill/burst last 12 secs on average
