- The Signal-Man - Reading.
For Halloween, I'm giving you my reading of Charles Dickens' short story, 'The Signal-Man' written in 1866. It was based on the Clayton Tunnel Crash of 1861, but also it was a year after Dickens was himself involved in the fatal Staplehurst rail crash in Kent. The story was originally published as one of his Christmas stories, but is definitely suitable for this time of year! Enjoy.

Hello, thank you so much for reading Dickens' short story, it was really spooky and I love how you made it even more suspenseful. I'm already looking forward to your next treat to us. Best regards from Uruguay.
Thank you! I'll be glad to do more - I'm already thinking of what I could do for Christmas!
I read a book you recommended in one of your recent videos -- "Gentlemen and Players." I think it gave me a nightmare, and I almost never have nightmares. The book wasn't spooky, exactly, but I must have been disturbed by it.
It does have a disturbing vibe - hope you're feeling better now!
What a charming Idea! Thank you very much Rosamunde.
Have you considered reading for audio books? You convey the story and mood beautifully! Thank you! Do more, please!
Thank you very much! One thing I really want to do is put my own books into audio books, but I need better audio equipment for Audible.
Thank you so much for this Rosamunde! This was such a treat! I really enjoyed this video! I hope that you are feeling better! Hello to Tilly as well! She is so adorable!😍 Happy Halloween!
