Oh so I'm not the only one that the rubber piece has torn on, I thought it was from going to the automated carwash too often. Know I know these are easy to replace.
Typically, the rubber itself will become flaky and melt due to age and exposure to heat over time. They tend to stick to your glass window and gets messy. I haven't seen a process to replace just the rubber but I would assume it would involve removing the trim itself so it would be prone to damage so might as well replace the trim set anyway.
I did this and painted the trims black. It looks very nice. Thank you for the video, it was very helpful!
Thanks bro, this is very helpful. In this video is crv gen 4 2012-2017, before crv turbo or gen 5
I wonder if the Mk2 would be the same?

Isn't there an adhessive to just glue the rubber back onto the trim?

Is the top the same way
The top is different and doesn‘t typically needs replacement. I think it would be more difficult to replace.
What Material is the crome is it plastic or steel
It is plastic.
That's not a weather strip. It's a window trim.
The rubber strip part on the trim detaches and curls. It keeps water/rain out.
