- Small SUVs are becoming a popular segment for electrification and for the first time in Australia there is a premium option, the new Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 that costs around $10,000 more than the similarly performing Hyundai Kona Electric and Kia Niro EV. David Bonnici jumps behind the wheel of the German carmaker’s second EV offering in Australia to see if what it brings to the table that its more affordable rivals don’t.

I test drove it and absolutely loved it. Well built and has everything you need in a compact vehicle.
I saw one of these on the road in Barwon Heads recently which looked brilliant in white and if this the future of EV motoring I’m in - great review David and good to see Wheels upping the YT motoring experience 👍👍👍
These shots are amazing, what a great introduction to the EQA
Perfect review, I love it and my car to!
I may have missed it. Heads up display? Heated steering wheel?
Wheels Australia's next Mercedes...I mean....Car of the Year! I wonder if they will sell as few as last years winner?
Yep, COTY already signed, sealed and delivered (going on previous form). Just forget it’s still not a unique EV platform and therefore needlessly compromised as a full EV.
