The critically acclaimed studio recordings are what defines you as an artist.
      That's your body of work.

Forget his voice it's his incredibly good looks that I find amazing. His face was perfect, every angle you look at him from he was perfect like a work of art. Perfect straight nose, perfect set eyes, eyebrows, chin, cheekbones etc. He had both a feminine and masculine face. The only resemblance I've seen to Elvis are the greek god statues.

I saw him once in concert. I wasn't suppose to but ran to the stage. He walked from each end, to the center and the other end of that stage. I got about 10-15 ft from him. I may have been too far off the ground at that point, but as he walked(singing throughput) towards where I stood looking up at him, I thought by he actually looked Mr in the eye. I was too young, but the older ladies he'd kiss or take a handkerchief. He was stunning. I've seen a lot of great performers, but none ever have come close to Elvis.

My Grandma had fond memories of going to see the Louisiana Hayride quite regularly and she said that she got to see Elvis, Scotty and Bill. Quite a few times. She said that they didn't sound like anyone else there. She chalked it up to them just being ahead of there. Time.. but she said the very first time she saw them. The crowd didn't go wild.. nobody really knew who they were and it was an immediate learning experience for the audience.. she said that when they started there was some applause and then it was pretty drab... Some people were even ignoring them and doing other things!! Then she said they broke into Good Rockin tonight and little by little she said she saw an audience transform.. from almost non existent to unlike she has seen before.. rushing the stage.. dancing.. screaming! She said it got so raucous that Scotty had to turn around and crank up the volume on his Amplifier! If you have seen the new ELVIS Movie, there is that scene at the beginning at the Louisiana Hayride where he is wearing the pink suit and the crowd was calm and then they start Good Rockin tonight and basically it is my grandma's story,! I've always pictured in my head what was happening there when my grandma would tell it. But it's amazing that I watch that and it puts visuals to her story! The first time Grandma told me this story. She found out that I liked Elvis and she told me to sit down and she related the whole story! I was probably about 10 years old. So 30 years ago. I would have gave anything to have been there to see that., There was magic in the air that night. And amazingly Baz luhrman bottled it and then poured it onto that scene in his movie.. ok sorry to have rambled for so long! If you have gotten to the end the my heart felt apologies lol your eyes are probably blood shot 😆😂. Good night,!!

Everyone needs to realize how special and powerful this performance is. Elvis was doing films and soundtrack albums from 1960 to early 1968. No real albums, no real art. Then, he “comes back” with this. Elvis Presley was back, and he wasn’t the movie star. So amazing.

I've been listening to Elvis, Michael Jackson, Earth Wind and Fire, Kool and the gang, Terence Trent D'Arby, Frank Sinatra, Bon Jovi, James Brown and sooo many others since I was born! And I will never stop! I think Today's music isn't Music ...
