The 100% fastest way is this: Get 10-12 pieces of the heaviest armor you can find in your chest (doesn’t have to be most expensives ones, just the heaviest; if you don’t have a lot of heavy equipment, you can steal from the armorers’ chests in Sasau or Rattay at night), take it from the nearby Sasau inn to the monastery (on your horse preferably to save time as you will probably be overloaded), wait until around 11 pm, knock out one of the injured persons from Skalitz (don’t kill them), put your heavy gear on them, wait for 2 hours, and steal all the armor back (one by one, not multiple pieces at a time). Even if they catch you, they can’t tell anyone as they are too injured to even get up. Once you steal everything from one person, move to the next and repeat. Ideally don’t knock out the same person many times over as you might end up unintentionally killing them. This way you can reach lvl 20 in like 20 minutes lol.
Imagine almost getting killed by Cumans invaders, barely getting away with you life. You are suffering from severe injuries and lying there unable to move. Then the blacksmith's son comes in and keeps putting plate armour on you just to steal it back. You are too weak to even shout for help as you can only helpless watch him do this to you over and over again.
I usually go to where Johanka works and I pickpocket the paitents, if you get caught they can't tell on you....but I never thought of putting stuff in and then stealing it back.
Herbalists in forest are also good, since they are alone, this "guide" is terrible, kill person, and then run after a guy who is working, wow. Sleeping person should be far easier, you knock them out, put items on them after you remove theirs, and then wait 2h and proceed to this process.
"How to pockpicket."...gave me a chuckle. I had no idea we could use the Loot window to move items to NPC inventory. That is amazing and could maybe come in handy for other purposes. Theresa ratted on me once for stealing a horse. That took the bloom off the romance. I could even the score by framing her with stolen goods. The Loot window provides another means to poison someone's food, no blood on your weapons and you can be miles away before they die. Of course the NPC probably never eat the food in their inventory. Hard to know how far Warhorse delved into realism and how much is just window-dressing.
A BRILLIANT video… & very well thought out too. 🤔 Thank you very much! 😊👍 ALSO… The **casual nonchalance** with which you described how you were going to murder the other Tanner & dispose of the poor fellow’s body… 😨 was every bit as chilling as listening to the monotoned recordings of Serial Killers - describing to Homicide Detectives the cold & calculated planning & execution of their horrific crimes - without the slightest hint of emotion or empathy for their hapless victims….. 😱😱😱 LASTLY… I’m trying to picture what the surviving Tanner - whom you keep knocking out, planting all that armour on & then stealing it back off him - will say to the Apothecary from whom he will doubtless seek a remedy for his peculiar ailment: “I don’t know what’s the matter with me, Sir… I keep fainting & falling down for no reason. 😵💫🤷🏻♂️ Whenever I wake up & stand back up - instead of feeling somewhat lightheaded - I actually feel really overweight & sluggish! But that sensation steadily decreases, until I feel “normal’ & my usual weight again… Whereupon I inexplicably pass out & fall down once more. And this phenomenon keeps happening to me over & over again! 😣
awesome vid man, i ve wanted long time to level pickpocketing and this is the fastest way i ve seen so far (tho the skill kinda useless since u can knock them down and take what u need :) ), good job
Can say that value definitely has an effect, weight is one thing that increases XP but value does as well. Otherwise all the weightless Groschen and jewelry we pickpocket wouldn't give any XP. Although I believe that there is a cap somewhere between 60 and 70 XP so after a certain weight and/or value it doesn't make a difference anyways.

@@williamcook2499 OH I have done worse.😁 In the DLC were I had to get Gabon a necklace instead of playing in the the dice Tournament I murdered the whole camp ( via poison Saint George sword and lullaby potion (did not have any coin to bet). I felt bad about because they were pretty cool guys.😈
11-2022 (PC) I can't replicate this. Killed the one and a day later they never respawned and the 2nd person never came back after I knocked them out. I wonder if any of them will return. I figured every NPC would respawn after at least a bit of time and leaving what might be the spawn area by a massive distance.
You get far easier pickpocket leveling, since guy in this video made "guide" and left lot of crucial things, remove all their items, do it on sleeping person since it does not move.
I can’t get it to work. I kill the first guy, no problem. But when I try to knock out the other, I accidentally kill him every time. I’m not doing the stealth kill either. I get the knockout animation, but he’s dead. Only thing I can think of is my strength is too high. I’m maxed.
The Miller trying to get me to bet on the rattay tourney is almost worse than Preston Garvey marking new settlements on the map
Facts lol
Have a good word with yourself no one is worse than Preston Garvey
Homie took us in when we were at deaths door, I think we can take him up on that wager

thanks for the tip, I dont like killing innocent people just to level up a skill in game.

When you knock him out I suggest stealing all his stuff so the only things left on him are the heavy items you put there.
I think the value of items matter, not weight, like if you put expensive jewerly or Milanese brigadine armor worth 5k Groshen

Why not do this at night on the injured at the Monestary?
never tried it.. as long as youre not seen taking anything or knocking the person out it should work

I heard it was the more expensive stuff, that's good to know. I always just do it to the injured people outside the Monastery.
I have the original KCD version and pick pocketing doesn't even work. It's horrible. Still, I finished the game easily

Yea it definitely has a Skyrim feel
more like oblivion

What about reputation?
