i must be fucking stupid because nothing is helping me
YOU HAVE TO WAKE UP THE RESIDENTS TO MAKE THE LOCKS RESET. I struggled to figure that out for a bit 😊
Great guide I just started playing loving the game but have been fumbling through combat so far and have a lot to learn. One thing that is helping a lot has been swapping to a ds4 instead of using kbm, was a console gamer most my life and I just can't do combat at all with kbm in this. I can for games like 7d2d and valheim and hit parries 100% in that game but after 45hrs of trying its clear my muscle memory wants to play a game like this with a controller. I still suck but now I feel like I'm learning and fighting my opponent instead of battling my keyboard at the same time.
Now this is fcking helpful.
The lock on is complete garbage.
Can say that value definitely has an effect, weight is one thing that increases XP but value does as well. Otherwise all the weightless Groschen and jewelry we pickpocket wouldn't give any XP. Although I believe that there is a cap somewhere between 60 and 70 XP so after a certain weight and/or value it doesn't make a difference anyways.
*One on one, still manage. But when over then 3. I give up.* 😑😑😑
Came to this location. House on fire. Whole place has clearly been raided. No humans locks or chests
Sorry for the delay, but hopefully it will help others. This Farm is burned down during the DLC "a band of bastards" it's part of the questline of the DLC, so if you picked up the quest from Sir Radzig for the DLC then the farm will burn.
Tapped the block button puts the sword on the side it'll block best, it mirrors opponents. Tap block BEFORE the green signal to master strike. It took me a while to figure it out. Now I can corner Bernard and dodge n perfect block most of the time. It's still not easy to master strike.. I spent probably 4 hours total with Bernard. Holding block doesn’t drain stamina like many games do, like dark souls makes stamina regen super slow. I Don even see a difference. Get the perk that reduces stamina drain by 30%. Golem perk makes too many enemies run when you might want to loot em. If you don't care about looting, get it. Defense also seems to level up faster than ALL the other skills n stats. Vitality is slowest.
This game has such bad AI for combat!! I Literally could just stand there for a good minute and the enemies won't attack. The combos don't work half the time because a bandit wearing minimal armor is able to master strike all my attacks!!
Jesus Christ be praised! Henry has come to grind XP to us!
It doesn’t reset?
Peszek's chest is waiting for my loot
Life saver, thanks
Thank you so much. This morning I was screaming at my PC "why can't I kill one f***ing guy!!!" This evening I am nearly beating Captain Bernard in the arena with real weapons. Really really helpful video.
Combat sucks
Master Thief does give experience.
dose noty work if the place has been attacked and burnt in a mission!
Hell of a trick thanks dawg
1. Pick flowers till u can read. 2. learn 2 read. 3. Make potions. 4. Sell potions till you have 15k. 5. Buy full armor and a warhammer.
I don’t think I’ve ever had to search how to do a lockpicking mini game in any game except this one
How the fk you do this on controller?
It sucks I bought kingdomcome on series x and after I went hunting with Han I found him and rescued him, then the loading screen came on and won't go off I can't open the game and go back to a loading screen when I power off my series x and pick kingdomcome it goes back to that loading screen WTF!!!! I GUESS IM DONE PLAYING
I just busted
I think another fast way if you're not playing honourably so don't mind stealing, would be to get to level 6 lockpicking so you can get the luck of the drunk perk which will enable you to unlock "very hard" locks. Then in Rattay go around the back of the armoursmith and up the stairs, pick the lock to get into the building then take the first door on the right. Steal enough to fill your and your horse's inventory, depending on difficulty fast travel or ride to Rattay mill (just thought, can you rent a room at the Rattay inns for quick access to a stash? Might be faster), deposit everything in your stash then ride/fast travel back, fill your inventories again and rinse and repeat until you've cleaned him out. Do the same with the swordsmith (maybe knock out the artisan if he can see you lockpicking) and heck it, the apothecary and the others too if you feel like it. Bit less efficient on hardcore but then just go to Sasau, sell everything you can to the respective vendors and then steal all of their stuff! When I did this asap on a new playthrough I couldn't seem to find the Rattay armoursmith's groschen in any of the chests upstairs so you might be able to sell the stolen Sasau armour there straight away, otherwise just stash it and wait till they refresh their stock/groschen. I've never min/maxed this but it might be better to dedicate one town to stealing and one to selling, that way you could build up the groschen of the vendors in the selling town to whatever you want, like 100k+ and eventually steal that from them. This immediately gets you late game gear and loads of cash, and you can just pay the guards to avoid them searching you and taking your shiny new armour back off you.
Kcd is the only game that makes me afraid to commit a crime
Shit, I'd rather shoplift from Walmart than lockpick in KCD
That’s a master block not a parry
Nice location.
What increased my chance to repost or "parry" as you call it was to let my opponent hit with his first swing and then reacting to his follow up attack. This way you get hit once, but your stamina should be able to handle the damage, and then have a waaaay easier time hitting block early enough for his second attack of the same combo since you know it will jist follow immediately. There is a minimum of two landed hits for a unblockable combo at hit nr 3, so by actually defending the second strike you don't run into this third unblockable one. This technique won me many tournaments since you are usually only in danger of recieving reasonable damage if you get hit by a combo while on low stamina EDIT: What kinda worked for me sometimes was to even static block the first attack, let go of the block button right after contact and then immediately press block again to repost the second attack. It wasn't really consistend for me and messing up on that second block might get you in danger of also getting hit by the third potentially unblockable attack. So I let go of it
Dude come to the fucking point, this video could have been under a minute.
This gameplay is DOGSHIT if you want a good game go play oblivion the combat MAKES SENSE
Mate, u legend I struggle at lockpicking
Way too much talking. This video could of been so much shorter
I have the original KCD version and pick pocketing doesn't even work. It's horrible. Still, I finished the game easily
Great video, but want to clarify, at the end multi-enemy battle you're demonstrating, you keep saying you're trying to get a 'perfect block', but no, you're trying to get a master strike/stroke, which you clearly went over earlier talking about how they're not the same thing. Just saying, that is exactly the sort of thing that has confused so many players about the combat system. Further, 'riposte', as the game mechanics go, is after a normal perfect block, but will not hit automatically unlike a master strike.
I've finished the entire game and cleared all of Vranik by myself and I've never blocked nor performed a single combo in the entire game.
it gives xp with master thief perk ;p
Amazing best one I’ve found that’s actually responsible
I just wait till night time n sneak
if you start the dlc quest from radzig you can no longer do this as the houses get sacked
This is amazing it worked perfectly! Thank you 🙏
ChatGPT, please explain a sword combat in Kingdom Come Deliverance like you are talking to 5year old. Thank you. Now I can try to properly train.
does ot work anymore. doors wont reset
I’m such a noob at this game.
LOL I am glad you talked about not doing it at night. Game tells me to pickpocket sleeping peeps, I do it, boom bounty on head. WTF!
Just a tip Master theft perk dose give exp .. so get it asap .. for easy exp .. also luck of the drunk sometimes let u get higher than easy lock's with master lock 🔐.. From what i have read .. so fare
If anyone is interested the little broken down shack you can see to your left when you exit the main entrance there has a sleep save spot inside in a corner.
Thanks for this. I am able to level lock picking and stealth. Nice to have an area for this where I don't have to worry about guards. ;)
Is there a rule to perform a Riposte AKA Masterstrike and not just Perfect Block? Or it is a random - sometimes you just block and sometimes riposte? Maybe you should press block in the right moment to increase the chance for Riposte or even perform it every time?
I know this is kinda old, but you didn't mention the feint. It is the best way to start a combo against a skilled opponent like Bernard.
