HORROR FAN THEORY: The Missing Childs Play Movie

- I present my theory of how a possible Child's Play 2.5 movie could exist within the continuity of the Child's Play/Chucky Universe.

If I'm not mistaken (and I could be), I remember reading that the initial idea was to introduce multiple Chucky dolls in 3 but it wasn't done due to budgetary reasons
I think that Tiffany should've gotten her own movies to interact with the Chucky movies
Chucky was pure badass in Child's Play 3. The death of that guy in the garbage truck is particularly memorable.
I feel like this theory is pretty spot on, since his blood and guts got all mixed in with the plastic then any doll made with that plastic would partially have his soul within it. Maybe this means a doll got created then left the factory right as a new one is being made, just a factory pumping out more and more chucky dolls, but inevitably the plastic wouldn't really have any soul juice left and it'd start producing normal dolls again. Like the first doll uses some plastic that had the blood and soul in it, but then no other doll used that part of the plastic until like the 8th one down the line meaning Chucky would be out of the factory by the time a new one is made. That way one doll could die by the Shark attraction and another one could die via being crushed. I would say there probably wouldn't be a lot of chuckys made, probably just like 3 max since it was just a small amount of blood and a single soul being split without any voodoo involved.
Nice thoeory man. Maybe the other Chucky discovered this and figured out how to do it without having to manufacture copies of himself.

great vid, i always thought thats chuks corpse looked strange in bride, i thought it should be in a lot smaller pieces after a bloody fan had its way with him.

I personally went down this rabbit hole years ago.... I now consider those comics OFFICIAL continuity and I am almost positive Mancini made those books happen simply to fill out that gap caused from the TV edit.
That in itself is an interesting theory.
@@JerryGattz considering the solid unbroken continuity of Mancini's chucky/childs play franchise it's hard for me to believe it wasn't done on purpose.
ONE continuity is Mancini's edict ..... I wouldn't be surprised to see the Reboot Mark Hamill Chucky get written into Mancini's chucky-verse in order to affirm this theory
(Plus it would be f'kin cool to watch Brad and Mark face off...... My money on Brad)
@@horrorstew3577 Even better, they both can have multiple Chucky's join the fight, since OG Chucky has the voodoo, and Buddi Chucky can control other Buddi products via WiFi.
It was also be cool to see OG Chucky posses one of the Buddi Dolls, then see the Prime Chucky's trying to fight for control of it.
A real interesting theory- I believe Don Mancini himself confirmed that one of the ideas for the original Child's Play 3 script was for there to be multiple Chucky dolls, which was denied due to budget restrictions. The dude loves reusing ideas though- so he stuck with it by the time Curse and Cult were being made.
I definitely believe it's a possibility, maybe it could explain as to how Chucky began wondering about that spell in the first place. Maybe there were 2 of him running around at roughly the same time, which made him eventually realize that he could split his soul into multiple bodies intentionally.
That is a good thought, and Voodoo would be the only answer since the Good Guy factory is probably done for. Any new dolls being made now, since Cult established they can be bought at Hot Topic, are probably now manufactured in China like everything else. So no access to a factory.
I would love to see when he figured this out. It had to be either before Curse of Chucky, or that time in-between the end of Curse and the post credit scene with Andy. I imagine he wouldn't send himself to Andy without an insurance policy.
I love this theory! Especially because I think Mancini and his team are pretty spot on with their continuity through the movies and the series. I just don't think the team would make an error like that.
I know, right?. Which is why I hated what they did with the time line in the TV Show. It's supposed only take 2 weeks after Cult... but on Jake's father's tombstone it had a 2021 date.
Only fixs for this is to either bump up Curse and Cult by 4 years, or Nica thinks it has only been 2 weeks, when it has really been 4 years. Take your pic on that one, I am willing to bump those other movies by 4 years to make it fit.

So if this is true, that means our current Chucky(s) would have no memory of Child's Play 3, right? Does that contradict anything? It feels like the installment that gets referenced the least, but I'm not confident Chucky has never talked about going after Andy in military school
He has mentioned falling into an industrial fan. Then someone else mentioned the idea as one Chucky dies off, then it becomes a shared memory since he is one soul.
Again, this is just a theory. The body in Bride, probably is the same as CP3, they just took artistic license with it's appearance. Still, it has always bothered me, and that alt ending to CP2 opened a few "What Ifs" for me.
Now I do think the doll in bride is the same as CP3 even if you edit off the stitches it dosent look like the CP3 doll but what I think happened is since bride came out 7 years after CP3 they probably just quickly made the shredded chucky face from CP3 a full face because obviously they were being lazy and if you look at the stitches on the bride doll you can see chucky has a clear half face stitch and the only reason he looks different is probably cus tiffany gave him a new doll skull stretching the CP3 doll face over it and plus his overalls are shredded
It has always bothered me that the stitches on chucky's face never matched the slice that took half of his face at the end of 3.
Same, and you can tell right away that it's not right by his face being fully intact when Tiffany took his remains out of the bag.
To me his head looked crushed, but because of his bulbous metal skull, it looked more like it split open, like a globe in a hydriloc press... slow speed crush.
You know what… when I watched this video, I was like “Nah” BUT then I went into another video of someone watching Child’s Play 3 and there was literally another doll made a different way (which was Chucky because his blood was in it). Maybe there was 2 dolls of him this whole time like you said. The one from Child’s Play 2 end scene and the one from Child’s Play 3 Opening scene. Idk but it’s very possible! There could have been 2 dolls running around.
i know some of you are gonna hate me for that but i think tom holland is the one that should have been in control of the franchise not don mancini
I don't think that comment deserves any hate and without Tom Holland, we wouldn't have the Chucky we know and love today. If they stuck to Don's original script, I don't think we'd have as many movies.
Tom Holland added the Voodoo, and the doll being a serial killer. Oddly enough, he made the doll human because he wanted to make a singular film with no sequels, he wasn't interested in starting a franchise.
Yet, his contributions made the character iconic. Even as a kid, after watching the first movie, I knew this was the beginning of a slasher series. We wouldn't have had this without Tom Holland. I think if he did continue with the other films, they would have had much darker tones. Child's Play 2 was an amazing sequel because it maintained the dark tone, but was visually colorful. It felt so bizarre, but again... it's because it played off of Tom Holland's vision of the character.

I've always felt that it was a soul split aswell because the head in BoC has both sides of it's face in tact and only a few scars the scars I could've looked past but that missing side of face no way this one is the same

(CHILD’s Play released movies Spoiler ALERT!)I’m not sure whether or not the doll in the Bride of Chucky movie is the same one from Child’s Play 3. (After all how would we know whether parts magically got regenerated or regenerated some other way.)
It is not seeming to be the same doll though because in Child’s Play 3 the Left side of the Face was sliced off before the doll fell on the fan unlike what seems to be the case with the one shown in Bride of Chucky. I’m very curious about how this will all get explained.
If they ever do explain it. I am sure it is intended to be the same doll from Child's Play 3, but they took some artistic license with it. If they had gone for accuracy, it would be more stitches than doll. Still... there are those of us who can not notice these changes and then try to add rhyme to reason to make sense of it.
This man has the same brain as me if Andy was 8 in child's play 2 then 16 in child's play three it weird because if 8+8=16 then that means it would have token place in 1998 but instead bride of chucy was made in 1998 so if childs play 2 was in 1990 then andy would be 9 if the childs play was on its right year so then 7 years later bride of chucy would actually happen but in childs play three if it was on its right year of when it was going to show andy would be 9 but since andy is 16 they just hired a acter to take the play as Andy.
I always wondered if there would be multiple Chuckys after Child's Play 3, since his blood went into the vat of plastic at the beginning. We only got one living Chucky out of that that we know.of. But what if there were more Chuckys that were alive from that same plastic that more dolls were made from?

if 2 chucky dolls can exist without knowing about the other youd think their would be more then just the 2 especially after his blood and shit fell in the giant thing of plastic
The timeline is screwed yes. Chucky mentioned a few years he learned the soul splitting spell in 2017 Cult so maybe before Curse. Obviously he died in Seed and never got a resurrection scene before Curse. We should’ve gotten more between that 9 year gap as by the way the original crew were all convinced on doing a reboot in 2010 for the first ever film. However because of MGM owning the first film they couldn’t do it. Their idea for the reboot ended up being copy and pasted to the 2019 Child’s play just no OG cast nor voodoo. The ideas with the Bluetooth control and Buddi Ai were for the reboot. Now, Detective Mike Norris never dies in canon as at the end of Curse when adult Andy is talking to his mom he references Mike confirming they’re together and alive. I’m convinced they just didn’t get the look right for Bride maybe with designer screwups but I can accept it. Yet in Season 1 of the show they have shown flashbacks back in the 50s-80s so we can get flashbacks to this potential theory with some placement in the timeline.
This can’t be true because in the Chucky TV series he mentioned one of his Achilles heels being giant industrial fans which means that the Chucky who’s the main Chucky of the show had to be the one who died in Child’s play 3 which means he was put back together
Good point, and touché. I'll give that one to you. However, how do we really know if that is the main Chucky? We never did see how he got resurrected in Curse of Chucky... he's just alive now. Or... Mayne the Curse is not the same that died in Seed of Chucky. Could be the Chucky that stems from my theoretical movie. Or maybe their memory gets stronger with each one that dies. I imaging splitting a soul has it's consequences.
It's a stretch, but just him now being in multiples is crazy enough, so why not add this little fun.
I did have an idea for a retcon sequel, one that doesn't acknowledge Bride of Chucky, and beyond. It would have been about the government looking into resurrection and more or less being a Men in Black about the exploits of Charles Lee Ray. The multiple MD Degrees scientist that is assigned to this is obsessed with the Killer doll murders and the possibility of immortality, and in his lab are the remains of Chucky dolls from the first few movies. That's the start of it anyway.

Hive mind in death possibly, when a Chucky dies the next Chucky to come alive has all the memories of the dead ones.

@@hi12345613 I thought of this possibility too. That the experience of doll B transfers to doll A after death. Granted, you'd think he would have figures out more than one of him can exist sooner. Of course it helps that there is an 8 year gap between parts 2 and 3, so if there was something in between, it's just another day in the life of Chucky from his POV.

But Chucky said in Cult Of Chucky that he only figured it out about two or three before before Cult Of Chucky, so in between Curse and Cult so this theory is inaccurate.
True, in regards to the voodoo spell. What I was proposing is if it happened accidentally through 2 dolls being resurrected at different places, but at the same time.
Potentially, more than one Chucky came out of that vat of plastic from CP2. The one in my CP2.5 Theory, and the one in CP3.
