Rosinante/Corazon is one of my favorite characters in One Piece. Born a Celestial Dragon, fell to the lowest rung of society, witnessed hus brother killing the only parent he had left . . . And despite all that he still chose to be kind and try to do what's right. Also, he looks cool and he's funny.
I dunno if it cheapens it any, but it seems like really only Doffy was the bad egg of the Don Quixote family, considering Mjosgard. All the rest are basically the best Celestial Dragons we've ever seen.
@@tannermattingly4462 That's true. I guess that partially explains why Corazon is kind-hearted. It seems like they were actually a pretty good family, and Doffy was the only one who was downright evil. I think that actually adds to the tragic nature of Corazon's life. Because he had a loving family but then it was taken from him.
@@tannermattingly4462 Well one of them learned kindness during his time with the fish men. He used to be like the rest of them, but when he saw what happened and how they treated him, he changed.
Rosinante wasn't just a "comrade" to Sengoku. Rosinante was like a son to him. Adopted, raised, trained, they've bonded together, they treated each other like a family. That's why his death hit Sengoku hard - he has lost a son. What parent wouldn't cry over their child's death?
It's gonna be pretty funny if we find out he also has some extremely tragic backstory that broke him and made him into who he is now. Perhaps still irredeemable but at least with perspective as to how someone could reach that low and then become so dogmatic and authoritarian. We'll see I guess. It's been a long time since I've rewatched after catching up and being a weekly watcher and reader. But I'm rewatching and I'm getting refreshed on a lot of stuff.
