Arlong park was the “masterpiece tutorial” for One Piece. It was the first arc that showed just how deeply Luffy cares about people he befriends and how far he goes to help them. Arlong park was also the first arc that related to real-world issues like tyranny (Taliban in Afghanistan) and government corruption (Arlong pays government to keep rule at Cocoyashi. Much like how there are many questionable and bad corporations that are profitable to the government so they don’t dismantle them). It was also the first arc to show a scene no innocent kid would fully understand: someone inflicting SELF-HARM (Nami stabbing her Arlong tattoo). This arc was beyond outstanding, did a great job setting up the rest of the series, and captured the hearts of too many. Watching this arc led watchers to only two paths: to fall in love and watch/read the rest of the series, or to not feel too stimulated and either stop or keep watching the show until getting bored. Having finally caught up to the manga, while I can appreciate many of the other arcs, Enies Lobby (which is basically Water 7) remains my favorite arc. It has some of the best pacing, the fights aren't dragged out, we see for the first time the larger crew fighting as one, it introduced us to Gears 2 and 3, Zolo had his first breakthrough and mastered new techniques never seen before, Sanji had a burning leg for the first time, Usopp started to become a key player, it introduced us to Franky and of course some of the most memorable opponents in Lucci and Kaku. Also, "I want to live" just hits so very hard... It's very hard to argue against the arc in my opinion, very few others come even close.
Luffy so real. The best homie anyone could ask for. Bro simply does not care. if you are his friend, he’ll fight the world for you. Not even hyperbole, I mean he’ll literally fight the world.
For me it was baratie then it was complete in loguetown arc. Luffy doing the same as Roger and him smiling even when he was about to die piqued my interest. Edit: The English professors could not leave me alone.
One Piece is a journey with all ups and downs. Interesting enough Nami, Robin and Sanji decided to solve their problems alone and learned from Luffy that for him now their problems are his problems too. The backstories are so hard to watch..... 😭😭😭
I sometimes forget how painful Sanji’s childhood was, and it’s crazy because as much as he can’t stand his father, the moment of his childhood that probably hurt the most was hearing him disown him entirely. To have his own father tell him to his face that he didn’t ever want to be associated with him, and at that age, after doing nothing wrong. 😢
One piece is one of those perfect anime that grew up with us and I hella wish it's still around by the time I have kids and when, if ever my kids gets hooked on anime, imma introduce and watch One piece with them from ep 1 to the present.
This is what makes Luffy and the Stawhats so special, it's not about power or having the most money it's about kindness, loyalty, strength, courage, honor, chivalry, and compassion. Luffy saved all of his friends from terrible fates that were awaiting them, the Strawhats never antagonize people they understand when somebody needs help they act quickly to not only save the day but are willing to sacrifice their lives to protect what they care about most. They're all great heroes and true friends. :)
I would just like to thank everyone for watching my very first attempt at an AMV. Thank you🌹 Edit: Wow.....500k views! OMG thank you all for the wonderfully kind words this video has brought. I am still working on the next AMV but I've been burnt out a lot this past month. I apologize to some that may be expecting the new AMV anytime soon but im going to still slow cook it. Again thanks to all of you that enjoyed this AMV. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
This was amazing! The only advice I'd give is that you should've ended it with Robin yelling I want to live bcuz that would've hit so hard. I felt it coming and it almost hit me but then the video ended LoL.
I’m still questioning why ppl refuse to watch a anime THIS GOOD all because it’s so long. It’s as if someone says I wish there was more eps or seasons on their favourite anime, “Oh so you don’t want more episodes from what ur telling me?”
Best story ever written hands down to Oda for creating this masterpiece which will be eternal and will be remembered for ages to come. When I'll become a father or a grandfather I will definitely watch it again and again with my kids and their kids
Sanji's childhood is so heartbreaking. Losing someone you love is a thing, but growing up having your own blood, your own parents flat out tell you that you're a failure and that you're a shame to them is another type of crushing.
For such a goofy show, one piece is the most tear ripping show ever, I don’t normally cry watching shows and movies, but arcs like enies lobby, arlong park, and sabaody -almost- actually made me cry
My friend watched one piece and told me it was his favorite anime of all time. I watched the first season uninterested and wanting it to be over, once I got to Whiskey Peak and Little Garden my eyes were opened to the greatest piece of pirate fiction, a story of a child who never grew up. To prove to his friends and THE WORLD that HE could become the King Of Pirates. A story of The Bravest Warrior, The Greatest Swordsman, The World's Best Navigator, and everyone in between, coming together to find The One Piece. The One Piece is REAL!
This is why Luffy is the best Mc in my opinion. He just doesn't give a shit. He'll go around deciding who will go on his crew beating up people who he wants to beat up. Destroying anyone who messes with his crew. Sailing around just living his life as a free man which is extremely admirable to me.
This series is so strong and impactful, bringing many strangers together around the world, not strangers anymore but friends. I want my writing to be this strong.
Honestly, at first i wasnt a huge fan of one piece, i thought ussop was lame at first, i was bored. Then the arlong park arc came and got me all (to my friends) "dude you guys have to watch one piece. Its amazing. Honestly its in my top 3
I was the same way, I remember wanting ussop to just stop being a coward, but thats what his whole character was about. And in turn made him one of the best snipers.
I will never forget how I always thought One Piece was dumb for most of my life until I got Pirate Warriors 3 during the first month it was out. I got to the second level and decided to watch some of the original show for reference....and I immediately felt regret for taking so long getting into the series. Usopp's origin arc and Aarlong Park were standouts for the first week I was watching it. Still remember laying in bed after college classes and 3 jobs and just soaking in the storytelling and crying so many times. In 3 weeks, through youtube, I experienced the english dub all the way till the end of Water 7. And I still never regret those times
I don’t understand why people say One Piece is just a never ending, bland anime that has no story beyond “just some pirates treasure hunting.” The character development of even the villains is so in depth. Big Mom is honestly my favorite because her backstory absolutely gutted me.
nami realised how much trust/faith luffy had in her she knew that his hat was one of his most prized posessions and he gave it to her with no second thought
One piece saved my life ❣️🙏🏻 And many anime will come and go bt the place i have for one piece in my heart will never ever be replaced. Blessed to be able to watch this masterpiece 🥺❣️
What I love about that moment between Nami and Luffy is that Luffy stands there silent. He knew words won't help Nami. He waited for her to ask for help, then he took action, while leaving his most prized posession on her.
High key this made me tear up. What a WONDERFUL job you did and what a masterpiece we've been blessed with in One Piece. Seriously thank you for this "attempt" that became a piece of art and joy you are sharing with thousands.
I don’t deserve the kind words you and others have bestowed upon me. Your words truly are going to be with me through my journey through life. Thank you❤️🌹
Sanji's backstory gets me sad as hell everytime I think about it. I've never been one to cry at shows or movies, but one piece of all anime to make me cry more than once, crazy
One of my favorite things about One Piece is that each and every member of the strawhats are loyal to Luffy because he would go to the end of the world and fight the biggest baddest threats 1v1 for any single one of them (and he does). Because of him they can be free to reach for their wildest dreams. I dont know of any other show that makes me feel inspired the same way
My two favorite moments so far When the crew bids farewell to vivi chan With their fists ✊ in the air Sogeking burning the shit outta that world government flag at Enies lobby
People who say one piece is garbage most likely didn’t even try watching it. There’s so many amazing moments and you just fall in love with this anime over and over again. The whole crew has amazingly written backgrounds and the character designs are great. I love how they show how much luffy loves his crew. And I teared up when watching these scenes but looking back it hurts more because you get so attached to them One piece is an amazing anime. Nothing can top it for me honestly
It was destiny i believe , that i got to watch one piece It has made a huge impact on me , i realised that meaning of having courage Doesn't matter how much worse condition I'm in , remembering these guys makes my mood light up It's like they're a huge part of me now
Re watching pre time skip as a grown man now hits different i love videos like this because its relatable af like we didnt process the sadness at the time because we were too young
I loved arcs like Arlong Park and Drum Island, Baratie etc. But its the Alabasta Arc that got me hooked To One Piece especially towards the end of Alabasta, the way crocodile flies in to the middle of all the fighting defeated, and everyone fighting just stops. Everyone listened to Vivi finally, and rain finally fell. That's when I realized, I wanna watch One Piece. A year later im caught up to Wano and I read the manga. I FUCKING LOVE THIS SERIES
sanjis story is one of the saddest. like imagine your parent not wanting your or your siblings. his sister helped him escape tho which was so sad. nami had to live with her mothers killers her whole life and robin was alone her whole life, she couldn't love or trust anyone. don't even get me started on brook. bro was completely alone for 50 years. they all have horrible stories.
Arlong park was awsome, the best part to me is when the the straw hats Franky family team up on rocket man cuz know someone bout to get their but whooped
@John Gona Like just think about it, we don't know nothing about Zoro other than his dreams and Kuina...like what about his family background? Just like what happened to Sanji? Cuz my theory is that Oda sensei's going to throw that to us soon. And heck yeah, Zoro's my boy, I'm 100% sure his the best right hand man for Luffy. But we don't know whats going to happened in the future, just like what happened to Sanji (cuz i know zoro's a prideful person, he will definitely keep it away from his crew if he has a problem, just like what happened in Thriller bark). So, that's my theory, and I really hope Oda san isn't going on hard on us 😭
The scene where Luffy was not able to save his crew when they fought Kuma was life-changing It was at that moment I went from "Oh luffy can beat him" to "he can't win" See this happy go lucky guy, have a meltdown and basically throw a tantrum (not in a negitive way) over this moment made a huge impact in my life and how i view people He a bit aloof and dumb, and very self confident but this moment taught himthat he cant win every battle (Whole cake spoilers): When he told big mom "i cant fight you right now" i was SHOCKED But was extremely impressed with his character growth, he knew he wouldnt win against big mom 1 on 1 abd he owned up to it!! LIKE GOSH DANG AASFUFRIJV also i love jinbei, hes awesome, thats all
Nami lost her mother Robin lost her mother Sanji lost his mother Zoro lost his freind Brock lost his freinds Ussop lost his friends Chopper lost his father fig Luffy lost his- brother, grandpa, father, freinds(spoiler)😢
I'm not old enough to understand everything, but I can understand some things and I understand this show is more than meets the eyes and a masterpiece.
The fact that his father didn't even *care* about Sanji leaving is what got to him. Sanji brandished a knife toward his father expecting the man to *fight* to keep him. Deep down, I'm sure that's what Sanji wanted. Some semblance of care, even if it was a desire for control. But no. He really said, "Don't let the door hit you on the way out, homie. You made my job a whole lot easier."
Everytime Luffy met a crew mate it was always the same as making a friend you think they are so cool and amazing so you like them and that friendship will take you places you never imagined
I just feel so bad for kid sanji, because he is such a kind and loving child but he is surrounded by bullies, with no love like he had to deal with that for 8 years, and he probably thought he would have to endure that pain all his life. Thank the lord for Zeff and the Strawhats

I know that the words you just said aren't true at all and i can't become the Pirate King without you!" Did we really expect these words from Luffy? No and that is exactly why it hurt us vievers so much. I hope you get what i mean. :)
I was just watching it for fun until water 7. That arc hit different.
best arc of course 👍
After Enies Lobby I got so excited for wherever OP was about to take me
Fax
Yeah Usopp and Robin's character development went up 300%
Having finally caught up to the manga, while I can appreciate many of the other arcs, Enies Lobby (which is basically Water 7) remains my favorite arc.
Damn the part where Robin screams she wants to live got me feeling deep emotions....
Dude I wanted to add that into the video but the ost for that episode was loud. So I had to sacrifice.
@@khikku8595maybe use the dubbed version?
That scene is the one that sold me to One Piece. It didn’t needed to go that hard, bro, I’m never going to recover from it

At this point I feel like every arc in one piece has made me tear up at least once 😭
For me it’s not so much as making me tear up it’s more like it hypes me up.
i almaost cried just because of a ship 😀
wano is probably the only arc i haven't felt sad in, its very epic tho.
@@janetteoh24 I cried like a baby for that ship 😭😭😭😭😭
literally same, then i started reading the manga and once i got to Ginny i couldn't stop crying for like 2 hours
That’s what got my attention the most too
Logue town*
piqued*
Rogue town*
Loved the "ooh nice, I have never seen a public execution" and when Buggy explained it was his execution xD
One Piece is a journey with all ups and downs.
Interesting enough Nami, Robin and Sanji decided to solve their problems alone and learned from Luffy that for him now their problems are his problems too.
The backstories are so hard to watch..... 😭😭😭
I would have to disagree regarding sanji because he was truly forced, there is literally no way luffy could go back to baratie to save zeff in time
sanji's backstory, both in general slapped me so hard that even my heart started crying
Sometimes apathy hurts a lot more than deliberate malevolence.
Enies Lobby and Robin's backstory will always have a special place for me.
Thank you🌹
Edit: Wow.....500k views!
Its beautiful. ... you made me cry .... just remembering how great one piece is
This was amazing! The only advice I'd give is that you should've ended it with Robin yelling I want to live bcuz that would've hit so hard. I felt it coming and it almost hit me but then the video ended LoL.
It's really good and the back stories are some of the saddest 😭👌🏼
Its beautiful dude ❤
KEEP IT UP!!!
I’m still questioning why ppl refuse to watch a anime THIS GOOD all because it’s so long. It’s as if someone says I wish there was more eps or seasons on their favourite anime, “Oh so you don’t want more episodes from what ur telling me?”
cause the pacing is ass and people have jobs too
0:58 imagine saying that to a child at a tender age that only sees you as a parent. This scene broke me so much. Sanji deserves way better.
When i was 10 this scene traumatized me ...
:(
Why so few comments?
Yeah, this anime really knows how to tug at the heartstrings.
@@khikku8595 everything is in it the plot is sad, funny, depressing and so on
Best story ever written hands down to Oda for creating this masterpiece which will be eternal and will be remembered for ages to come. When I'll become a father or a grandfather I will definitely watch it again and again with my kids and their kids
"Don't tell others that I am your father" It Really Hurts, I Really Got Goosebumps when he said that 😭
Sanji's childhood is so heartbreaking. Losing someone you love is a thing, but growing up having your own blood, your own parents flat out tell you that you're a failure and that you're a shame to them is another type of crushing.
The whole crew went through something rough in childhood so they all share each other’s pain
That’s true, that’s why they are all attached to luffy, because In some way he helped them overcome it but then there’s zoro.

He can make us laugh
He can make us cry
So he made One Piece
The sanji childhood ark was so sad
For such a goofy show, one piece is the most tear ripping show ever, I don’t normally cry watching shows and movies, but arcs like enies lobby, arlong park, and sabaody -almost- actually made me cry
I got hooked when luffy and usopp fought. That was so emotional especially after spending over 200+ episodes with these characters
Holy crap soooo underrated
Hey, thank you!
What Sanji’s father asks of his son in this video is absolutely brutal. For a son it’s a knife straight to the heart. Very hard to recover from.
For me, Arlong park made me watch one piece, Albastra got me hooked up, and Enies lobby made me love one piece
I love how Luffy was able to spot rightaway that all his nakama went through some hard shit.
Luffy acts like an idiot most pf the times but he’s really mature when it matters
This is why Luffy is the best Mc in my opinion. He just doesn't give a shit. He'll go around deciding who will go on his crew beating up people who he wants to beat up. Destroying anyone who messes with his crew. Sailing around just living his life as a free man which is extremely admirable to me.
Luffy putting that hat on Nami’s head is still the most heartfelt moment in all of one piece
Luffy most badass when he hands you his hat!
This series is so strong and impactful, bringing many strangers together around the world, not strangers anymore but friends. I want my writing to be this strong.
I wish you luck on your path! Keep on!
This song goes so well with the young Sanji scene
Imagine watching the Arlong Park arc and realizing they never let Nami's mother out of the dungeon.

There are so many moments like this in the story, Oda really knows how to pluck the heart strings.
Damn.. man really got me in the feels on a sunday..
MAN I LOVE THEIR BACKSTORIES SO MUCH
This is so good got me all teary
nami realised how much trust/faith luffy had in her she knew that his hat was one of his most prized posessions and he gave it to her with no second thought
One piece saved my life ❣️🙏🏻
And many anime will come and go bt the place i have for one piece in my heart will never ever be replaced.
Thank you❤️🌹
Sometimes all a person needs is one piece
Others: One piece it's just about an guy that is elastic
Me: thinks about all these BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS🥰
Sanji's backstory gets me sad as hell everytime I think about it. I've never been one to cry at shows or movies, but one piece of all anime to make me cry more than once, crazy
Music can just change the tone of everything in a scene and the complete lack of it can do so just as well
Said it better than I could!
Just out of curiosity how would you have said it
One of my favorite things about One Piece is that each and every member of the strawhats are loyal to Luffy because he would go to the end of the world and fight the biggest baddest threats 1v1 for any single one of them (and he does). Because of him they can be free to reach for their wildest dreams. I dont know of any other show that makes me feel inspired the same way
My two favorite moments so far
When the crew bids farewell to vivi chan
With their fists ✊ in the air
Sogeking burning the shit outta that world government flag at Enies lobby
And the crew crying to going merry
When Luffy gave his hat to Nami
@@gayfruit4411you know the story is good when they have you crying rivers over a fucking boat. One Piece should be eternal
this gave me the chills like only One Piece could
Man this is so good
Thank you! i wanted to make it longer with more added to it.
People who say one piece is garbage most likely didn’t even try watching it. There’s so many amazing moments and you just fall in love with this anime over and over again. The whole crew has amazingly written backgrounds and the character designs are great. I love how they show how much luffy loves his crew. And I teared up when watching these scenes but looking back it hurts more because you get so attached to them
One piece is an amazing anime. Nothing can top it for me honestly
Nami's story was incredibly sad. I'm still mad that Arlong got away
It was destiny i believe , that i got to watch one piece
It has made a huge impact on me , i realised that meaning of having courage
Doesn't matter how much worse condition I'm in , remembering these guys makes my mood light up
It's like they're a huge part of me now
Awesome edits loved it ❤️
Thank you! That’s means a lot like seriously.
I'm literally crying. The scene where Sogeking burns the flag always hit my feelings
I really couldnt tell you the coldest moment in One Piece. These three are up there.
Arlong park was awsome, the best part to me is when the the straw hats Franky family team up on rocket man cuz know someone bout to get their but whooped
Pov :- the things straw hats don't know is Zoro's painful past
It should have ended with "I WANT TO LEAVE"
It did for the first one I made for this but the files got Corrupted so I completely forgot how I made it.
@@khikku8595 I here you. Anyways good edit
Man, the "I WANT TO LIIIIIVEEEE" from Robin would've been a nice touch at the end...
Honestly, I'm waiting for Zoro's turn.
Like I know that Luffy and Zoro will diff. Fight and pull him back up...Oda sensei don't go hard on us 😭
@John GonaYeah, No. I know Oda senseis going to throw that to us soon
So, that's my theory, and I really hope Oda san isn't going on hard on us 😭
@John Gona nooo please don't 😭 I'll definitely go blank for a month😭
The scene where Luffy was not able to save his crew when they fought Kuma was life-changing
It was at that moment I went from "Oh luffy can beat him" to "he can't win"
See this happy go lucky guy, have a meltdown and basically throw a tantrum (not in a negitive way) over this moment made a huge impact in my life and how i view people
He a bit aloof and dumb, and very self confident but this moment taught himthat he cant win every battle
(Whole cake spoilers):
When he told big mom "i cant fight you right now" i was SHOCKED But was extremely impressed with his character growth, he knew he wouldnt win against big mom 1 on 1 abd he owned up to it!! LIKE GOSH DANG AASFUFRIJV
also i love jinbei, hes awesome, thats all

I'm not old enough to understand everything, but I can understand some things and I understand this show is more than meets the eyes and a masterpiece.
Arlong Arc was the hook to me.
back then, when i was younger, i thought this was all normal. But now, one piece actually makes me cry.
watching 0:23 today makes me laugh
Why?
tf is wrong with you bro? Are you emotionless
??
how
i guess the way sanji hold the sword is funny right
The moment Luffy completely destroyed that room was the moment i realized just how amazing of a show this is
The fact that his father didn't even *care* about Sanji leaving is what got to him.
This hurt...because Sanji is honestly my favorite Straw Hat! and (almost)the whole crew has went through something completely awful. GOAT Piece
Once I got to Arlong Park I knew this was the anime that I've ever wanted to see, what a great piece of history. Great edit!
Everytime Luffy met a crew mate it was always the same as making a friend you think they are so cool and amazing so you like them and that friendship will take you places you never imagined
Wow that pulled on some old heartstrings for sure
I’d never mentally recover from Arlong Park and Water 7 arcs. Oda didn’t needed to cook that hard, but we thank him for it
Now it’s their turn to be there when Luffy needs them most
I just feel so bad for kid sanji, because he is such a kind and loving child but he is surrounded by bullies, with no love like he had to deal with that for 8 years, and he probably thought he would have to endure that pain all his life. Thank the lord for Zeff and the Strawhats
