@Kira Arlong is not a blind fool. Yes, contrary to other fishmen of his era, he really hates human but can we blame him? After everything he's been through. I cannot hate Arlong although what he did to Belmer and the village of Nami was awful but his hatred was understandable.
He just wanted justice and wanted to show the power of fishmen. The blind fool is Hody, I cannot like this character he is truly evil.
There are just characters in OP that did wrong things that you can still understand and appreciate like Arlong, Franky, Doffy, Baggy, Mister 2, Perona, Bellamy, Crocodile, etc.
And others you cannot because they are purely and utterly evil like Akainu, Hody, Orochi, etc.

That's the thing: this spoiled scumbag has murdered plenty of innocent people on whims lives off of slave labour, literally buys whomever he wants, shoots whoever he wants, has people bow to him when he walks by, etc, and the only retribution he gets is to be punched once. This is what I hate about Oda, he creates characters who are so detestable that you feel like you want to jump into the screen and brutally torture and kill them with your own hands, but then they just get a slap on the wrist essentially and go on with their lives. Or they just get a short stay in Impel Down and get freed a few arcs later.
That punch cost them 2 years of being away from each other but it also made them learn how unready they were to go against the most powerful forces. it's worth it.

shuusui was the sword that zoro got from that zombie who had ryuma’s shadow, the legendary swordsman from wano. it’s also an ō wazamono which out of the gate makes it more powerful than other swords. it’s heavy, has hella durability, and i think it was stated that if a dinosaur stepped on it it wouldn’t bend at all. zoro even used it to deflect oars’ punch in tb, and made notable giant flying slashes through rock that had more power than kitetsu. ryuma even used it to cut off a dino’s head with little to no struggle back in the day. so the fact that zoro was about to use this sword to kill charlos says a lot

Your statement would've made more sense if he pulled the Sandai Kitetsu, which is a cursed sword that lusts for blood. Shuusui is of a higher grade yes (same as the wado), but has no realtion to murder.

It was on everyone's mind, Luffy was just impulsive enough to do it.
It's crazy to think that Kid's bounty at the time was higher than Luffy due to killing people making fun of his dream but Luffy's got quite an insane reputation compared to the rest of the Supernovas. He defeated two Warlords, declared war on the World Government and even attacked a Celestial Dragon.
He was the biggest hotshot of the Supernovas even before the timeskip

Well the other reason is when they make a bounty they have to say what it's for so either they lie and try to justify it or tell the truth that a "nobody" pirate just beat 2 warlords and a secrete world government assassination group. They try to pin him for crimes without making the entire world panic.
Kid must've been a complete monster offing civilians left and right to have a higher bounty at this stage than the Guy who raided Enies Lobby and dropped two Shichibukai at this point.

@@jeroen1989 No. They gave him the correct bounty, but they never publicized the reasons he got the bounty, especially with Crocodile and Moriah, as they wanted to maintain the reputation of the shichibukai. With Moriah they didn't even acknowledge that he'd lost. Some people saw through it, not believing Smoker could take down Crocodile and seeing a new pirate with a new big bounty. Bellamy and crew were blinded by their own beliefs and the fact that the Crocodile thing was covered up.
this is why i love Luffy as a character if he wants to do something he doesn't care what the consequences will be he just does it

Kuma is the real mvp of one piece
This is one of the reasons I love one piece actions have consequences. It isn’t “ I punched the bad man now everything is good” it’s “ you just punched this extremely powerful person and you have to face the consequences “
And those consequences are: running for your life, and getting your asses handed to you, BUT being saved by a friendly enemy who sends them to places where they get to train for 2 years and become even more powerful.
I mean even Luffy know it's stupid. He apologized to the crew seconds later.

That’s the whole part of why it’s so satisfying too. The Celestial Dragons are feeble and weak physically, but they hold an excessive amount of political power that not even the most good people even need, let alone those jackasses.
The consequences are a direct response of the system that enables these Nobles to be horrible people, so knowing what they are and being certain you’ll suffer them makes Luffy’s punch an F U not just to Charlos, but also to the order of the World Government that essentially created a heart as horrible as Charlos’ in the first place.

What’s truly amazing about this scene is that it solidifies Luffy, Law and Kidd as the big 3 out of the supernovas. With Luffy being the strongest simply because of his iron mental fortitude. Even someone as crazy as Kidd who murders innocent civilians questioned if Luffy was actually gonna hurt the CD. In the end they agreed with his philosophy and understood what it mean to be a true pirate.
I love how adaptive the crew members have become to Luffy's behavior and actions as a captain.
Well that's how luffy's been, all of them know by now if a friend of his is hurt he ain't stopping until that friend is safe and the one that did it is face planted into the dirt. He's said many times he does not care who the enemy is and they all knew he'd never care that the celestial dragons get to have admirals as babysitters if they got in the way of him saving Camie and Hachi.
The amount of build up made for that one punch and the utter detail and disgustingness of that punch make this scene absolutely GOATED.

@@marilynflores8725 He (as a captain) put his entire crew into danger. It led to their separation which of course made them stronger, but it was a failure on Luffy as a leader, hence, the dumbest thing Luffy has done. But at the same time, just cause something is dumb, it doesnt mean it’s wrong.
