It's the first time Nami DIDN"T get pissed off and freaked out by Luffy doing something stupid. It's more like the verbal acknowledgement that the crew knew what they signed up for when they joined his crew.
You like it because it shows the acceptance of the crew towards their Captain. The kinship, like no matter what he does. That the Captain that they chose to align with and they will go to worlds end for him
I think the thing with Luffy is, he takes away all the pros and cons and just goes "guys, this isn't right." I've always found this particular scene to be an exquisite blend of profound satisfaction and heartwarming emotions, striking a chord deep within one's soul. This scene serves as indisputable evidence that Luffy transcends the shallow perception of being a mere light-hearted buffoon or doofus, as many would believe. At the core of his being lies the heart of a veritable hero, embodying an unwavering sense of justice and an unyielding will of fire to confront any injustice or inequity and to defend those wronged by others. The beauty of the moment lies not only in Luffy's remarkable resolve but also in the overwhelming support and smiles of approval from everyone present, regardless of the unavoidable consequences. This remarkable display of understanding and solidarity reveals the profound familiarity they share with his true nature, leaving them entirely unshaken by his decision. Truly, an awe-inspiring juncture in the series, a testament to the depths of character that Luffy embodies and the profound bonds he forges with those around him.
What’s truly amazing about this scene is that it solidifies Luffy, Law and Kidd as the big 3 out of the supernovas. With Luffy being the strongest simply because of his iron mental fortitude. Even someone as crazy as Kidd who murders innocent civilians questioned if Luffy was actually gonna hurt the CD. In the end they agreed with his philosophy and understood what it mean to be a true pirate.
Two things I love Luffy did this for a man who was once an enemy All his crew members had his back about the decision with no regrets some were even disappointed they didn't get to hurt him
@@Lucifer-96 yeah Garp hates the celestial Dragons. But again Garp is a marine, and he has to follow the rules even if its Wrong bc thats one of the main jobs as a Marine is to protect the celestial Dragons.

Yup! Luffy had first hand experience with fighting Aokiji. He knew the power of an Admiral better than most people around the world ever will and still took the risk.
Well... Unless you're a rubber boy that can deflect bullets, you normally get a bullet in your head for playing the hero. Sadly most of the time you can only limit yourself to observe without doing anything
@@Medlair"easy"? Have you WATCHED this anime? If One Piece does teach us anything, it's that some people are willing to put their lives on the line, and some are not.
Well that's how luffy's been, all of them know by now if a friend of his is hurt he ain't stopping until that friend is safe and the one that did it is face planted into the dirt. He's said many times he does not care who the enemy is and they all knew he'd never care that the celestial dragons get to have admirals as babysitters if they got in the way of him saving Camie and Hachi.
This is one of the reasons I love one piece actions have consequences. It isn’t “ I punched the bad man now everything is good” it’s “ you just punched this extremely powerful person and you have to face the consequences “
And those consequences are: running for your life, and getting your asses handed to you, BUT being saved by a friendly enemy who sends them to places where they get to train for 2 years and become even more powerful.
@@TheSpencermacdougallKuma was really empathetic, he's the reason for why they were saved, he's basically the voice of us spectators, we knew that the Dragon deserved it so why punishing these guys? They only did the right thing, they're getting punished just because the system is sick and unfair, these guys ended slavery on an island and they're getting punished by the government for it... huh... Even if there are consequences, if you are in the right, there would still be someone who would take your side and fight for you
That’s the whole part of why it’s so satisfying too. The Celestial Dragons are feeble and weak physically, but they hold an excessive amount of political power that not even the most good people even need, let alone those jackasses. The consequences are a direct response of the system that enables these Nobles to be horrible people, so knowing what they are and being certain you’ll suffer them makes Luffy’s punch an F U not just to Charlos, but also to the order of the World Government that essentially created a heart as horrible as Charlos’ in the first place.
I love how the crew didn't even budge; They all just went along with it and moved on from it immediately, they knew Luffy was right and it was about time
I've seen this kid punch bullies, tyrants, despots, kings, gods, emperors, and just about anything and everything that ever stood to challenge him or hurt something he cared for. And hands down this is still the single best punch I've seen him throw.
I like to believe anyone and everyone who heard or learned that luffy punched a celestial dragon were smiling inside like : “GOD DAMN LUFFY YOURE THE BEST”
Those usually are the most important punches. The ones that aren't for fighting, just simply for teaching a lesson and standing up for yourself or others.
I like to think that luffys Hatred he put into that punch was not just for hurting Hachi but also because he wanted to avenge the Murder of Sabo who was claimed to be dead at the time.
Sometimes I wish I could forget this scene so I would be able to rewatch it again and experience the same feelings again. it's always satisfying to watch it. Yet the first time the feeling was very intense.
The D Clan is also known for storms of chaos which is very fitting for characters like Luffy and Law because they’re more like actual D Clan members than fakes like Black Beard.
This clip hits hard for Kidd, he thought he was a fkn badass right up until luffys first impression 😂 they came a long way, and now hes just left for dead lol

I've always found this particular scene to be an exquisite blend of profound satisfaction and heartwarming emotions, striking a chord deep within one's soul.
But being a hero means you have to share meat 🍖 with everyone.
The dickriding is crazy
word
@sonicluffypucca96 yeah, that's right, Luffy isn't a hero, he doesn't share his meat
Ur words are much deeper than Luffy's punch to celestial dragon lmao
What’s truly amazing about this scene is that it solidifies Luffy, Law and Kidd as the big 3 out of the supernovas. With Luffy being the strongest simply because of his iron mental fortitude. Even someone as crazy as Kidd who murders innocent civilians questioned if Luffy was actually gonna hurt the CD. In the end they agreed with his philosophy and understood what it mean to be a true pirate.
Dragon : i'll make a war with world goverment.
Luffy : too slow.
Wattanai James lmao Luffy did it before too

I wonder if doffy actually silently smiled about him punching a celestial dragon

Two things I love
Luffy did this for a man who was once an enemy
All his crew members had his back about the decision with no regrets some were even disappointed they didn't get to hurt him
The amount of build up made for that one punch and the utter detail and disgustingness of that punch make this scene absolutely GOATED.
if it's not for Rayleigh and Kuma this would be the end of their journey lol
So youre the author now ?
@@allaces123 kuma and Reyleigh literally saved the strawhats. Otherwise theyd be executed already
Yeah i would say so too
@@Lucifer-96 yeah Garp hates the celestial Dragons. But again Garp is a marine, and he has to follow the rules even if its Wrong bc thats one of the main jobs as a Marine is to protect the celestial Dragons.
Kuma is the real mvp of one piece
i hate when some people considering this action as luffy's stupidity, i think this was right thing to do
You misunderstand. It was definitely stupid of him to do. It does not mean that it wasn't right. Even he knew it was stupid, since he apologized for putting them in danger. And everyone else knew it too. And they all agreed. It had to be done.
@@therealwilldalbey cause that bastard dog deserved it lol.
Just imagine kuma had not sent them all away. And may be rayleigh was not around.
That was definitely stupid. Right but stupid
@@therealwilldalbey ohh yea i get it, right but stupid
No, though it was very satisfying, it was a bad move...
I loved how it made it very clear luffy knew the consequences of his actions and still did it
Yup! Luffy had first hand experience with fighting Aokiji. He knew the power of an Admiral better than most people around the world ever will and still took the risk.
Look at this detail: Zoro was ready to cut the celestial dragon with Shisui a sword that once cut a real dragon.
probably because of the thick skin
The sword would've felt insulted by what it was cutting
If there is *any* lesson one can take away from “One Piece”, it’s to *never* tolerate a bully if you dare to call yourself a human being. 🙂
Well in hindsight now that we know law is a .d he prolly loved that shit being able to relate to luffys ball size.
Well... Unless you're a rubber boy that can deflect bullets, you normally get a bullet in your head for playing the hero. Sadly most of the time you can only limit yourself to observe without doing anything
@@JR-ui3ss even tho luffy is rubber he still dodged that bullet even without using observation haki in that scene lol
@@projectblade82and it wouldn't be so easy to do in real life
@@Medlair"easy"? Have you WATCHED this anime? If One Piece does teach us anything, it's that some people are willing to put their lives on the line, and some are not.
I love how adaptive the crew members have become to Luffy's behavior and actions as a captain.
**luffy takes years to walk up the stairs and talk to hachi*
**Zoro:"i missed my chance"**
Aw shit, I didn't even waste a single second
Zoro probably got lost on his way😂
As a good crew member, should let Captain goes first. Shame that Luffy knock him out in one hit
He won't take his captain moment obviously
Zoro's respect for his captain maybe 🙆🏼♂️
They spent half of the season's budget on that one punch.
Totally worth it
@@andreasmakrygiannis359 so fkn worth and Satisfying.
And it was the best investment ever.
Exactly one of the best scenes in one piece
Money well spent.
I mean even Luffy know it's stupid. He apologized to the crew seconds later.
I love how the crew didn't even budge; They all just went along with it and moved on from it immediately, they knew Luffy was right and it was about time
Damn, punched him straight back to manga pages.
Like when I saw Asta sliced Zagred back to manga panels
I've seen this kid punch bullies, tyrants, despots, kings, gods, emperors, and just about anything and everything that ever stood to challenge him or hurt something he cared for.
And hands down this is still the single best punch I've seen him throw.

Luffy, Law & Kidd these 3 were destined to be an alliance. Can't wait for rooftop piece
RoofPiece Round 2 Imminent
Why does it seem like Luffy's most impactful punches are just him throwing normal punches.
Sengoku:Luffy beats dragon
Garp:naaaaaaaaniii?!!!!!!!!!!!
Sengoku:celestial dragon

I love the intensity of the few seconds after the punch lands. You can hear Luffy trying to reign his temper back in
As a reader of the latest manga chapter, this punch gives me so much satisfaction.

Sometimes I wish I could forget this scene so I would be able to rewatch it again and experience the same feelings again.
it's always satisfying to watch it. Yet the first time the feeling was very intense.
This will forever remain as one of my favorite anime punches of all time. Top 10 for sure.
In some places the Family of D are known as, "God's Archenemy".
How fitting that Luffy, a D, punched a World Noble with the weight of many tons.
The D Clan is also known for storms of chaos which is very fitting for characters like Luffy and Law because they’re more like actual D Clan members than fakes like Black Beard.
Incredibly ironic now considering certain reveals about Luffy
The reactions of the strawhats are cool and all, until you consider that this is where they would 100% have died, if not for the actions of one bear.
and an old guy
The thing is they probably knew they would've died but they stood by luffy's actions
Best part? That Celestial Dragon is now deemed an exile because of his bubble being destroyed and breathing 'tainted air'.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how the Celestial Dragons are legit built different? This guy *survived that*, as a civilian.
THAT WAS SO SATISFYING!!!! Been waiting for Luffy to punch his face because that pig deserved it!!!!!

This is the equivalent of hitting Kim Jung square smack in the face with all of your strength, in front of everybody in his own country.
Thank God luffy punched him because I wanted to break my monitor
Whenever I'm stressed. I always watch this and it never cease to satisfy me... I think I'm insane.
I love how the straw hats are just so chill even with a admiral coming
And then every single one of them experienced hell
„You are in big trouble now“
Luffy: „I have already declared war on World Gov. IDK“
Somewhere at the roof, Kuma seeing this first hand! That’s explains how he suddenly pops up in front kid & law first before separate strawhats
Luffy: ......
Celestial Dragon: Who are you? Why are you in my House?
Luffy: Not That much people Has Read the Manga.

That was probably the first time he ever felt pain.
HOW DID HE SURVIVE?!
Yup
Yeah too bad he didn’t even had time to proccess he probably passed out as the fist touched his skin

Because deep down every one wanted to do it, also kid and law

...No one has done anything this bold... for hundreds and hundreds of years.

Not one of the crew was even against the captain's decision. This episode was years ago and the loyalty to the captain still remains until now especially episode 982.

I love how all of the straw hats are ready to swing even though they knew they was boutta face the royal knights 😂

When Kuma witnessed Usopp using Clestial Dragon as a landing cushion and realized He is the who will become Warrior of Liberation
Hatchi is so precious he needs protection
Weird considering he was once an active collaborator in Arlong's abuse of Nami's home and tried to kill the Straw Hats in the past. Now he's a precious cinnamon roll? That's some good writing.
