      Could You allocate a bit of time and make a video about the current market state for handhelds like steam deck? I checked the videos, but feels like every week a new device is released. Just wanted to make sure to get the best option for emulation up to switch, wii u, ps2, gamecube, psp and so on. I would consider it for a context of best buy for christmas, If You can't, it is alright, but it would be nice. Thank You

    I really wish Intel would've named the GPU a little more unambiguously, to make its position in the ARC stack clearer. I like how you compared it to the Radeon 780M, that was quite useful. (Btw. you have a pretty unique style/format, great pacing, pleasant voice, and a focus on applicable use-cases - quite enjoyable. Also, you should keep labelling your benchmark runs, visually, instead of just talking about the settings.)

    • @cybernit3
      @cybernit3 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      So it is equivalent to the AMD 780M iGPU but would take 1/2 watts power? Ya, I like how ETAPrime goes thru every new gaming system a good concise review.

    • @welshe222

    • @andyH_England
      @andyH_England 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It varies. If you play 4K video then it has to move from the base cores. So expect less. If you are doing ultrabook stuff this should get you through the day with no issues. But compared to a MB Air M2 15-inch which has a much smaller battery, its efficiency remains second best, but finally, an improvement so that is praiseworthy, even if they have to pack a 99-watt battery in to get it.

The point is that the TDP would be the same, except the power that used to go to the E cores and LP E cores can now go to the GPU since the E cores and LP E cores have limited to no use for gaming you might as well just get rid of them and reroute that power to the GPU... that's why it would be a gaming version of the SoC.

    As someone who used ARC for almost a year , this a reminder that this is using ARC graphics for the iGPU and not Intel Iris XE meaning the drivers will not be dependable for new games and even older ones. ARC normally benchmarks significantly higher than the price would suggest but in game performance usually doesn't line up except in special circumstances. I had A770 ARC gpu and popular games worked but there were a lot that had wildly different performance than what the card should be capable of. For current E-sports and current mainstream games ARC will be awesome but for newer and older games there will be problems with compatibility or performance and VR is a BIG NO. The card can handle it , some drivers over the year supported it and it performed as well (and better) as my 3070 (I sold to buy the ARC A770) but for most of the year VR games don't work at all at least not using VD. I didn't get to try Steam Link as that might have been better.

    Ouch, you may want to tweak that AI noise-gate / room-verb reduction a bit. Your voice is cutting out in a very unnatural way. Don't be afraid of a little reverb and noise.. try to keep it natural, makes for a much nicer listen. Remember that most of us listen to youtube on cheap headphones in rather noisy environments so no need to push the noise gate/reverb removal so hard. Other than that, a great video as usual! Cheers!

And keep in mind, the 780m iGPU is a year old. AMD is already about to release a new version. The only thing this laptop has going for it is the really nice screen. Is that worth $750 extra?
