  • Scott tests out the new 2018 Heritage Classic from Harley Davidson. The Heritage Classic is part of the 2018 Softail line from Harley, and comes equipped with an all new design, including the Milwaukee 8 engine.
    Soctt then talks with Eric Anderson of Southside Harley Davidson about all the new details, including the new engine, the new lockbags, new LED lights on the front, new shocks in the front, and the all new adjustable mono-shock technology.

    Just traded in my 2013 FLSTC for this bike. Love it, huge improvement over previous versions. I find it funny, so many people complain that Harley doesn't change and when they make a change, they lose their minds. The only complaint I would have is the price but I knew that coming into the deal, they are not cheap.

    I'm 21, almost done with college, and took this bike on a test ride. Fell in love immediately, the thing kicks ass. Shame it's priced such that I won't be able to afford it for years.

      Worth the wait man. I'm 25. Just picked up a 2020 heritage classic 114. I'm loving it. They look great with the bags and windshield off too

    I just bought a 2018 Heritage with the 114. It was marked down about 2500 dollars. It's a win win for me. Love the bike. Couldn't believe how well it handles. It feels like a small light weight bike.

    I went for a test ride and immediately bought 2018 Heritage Softail. I didn't like the turd brown paint and negotiated a twisted cherry paint job. Really nice ride!

    Actually unlike reviewer on the vid I'd walk up to someone and say. "Hey what exactly is that - a Yamaha? A Kawasaki? Really, tell me, where is it made??". And wow a redesigned kick stand! - that's sure won me over! (cutting edge HD technology!!). I love the line from the sales guy: "These things aren't expensive!". Yeh sure. Whatever YOU want to believe right? I can see the young kids really going for these babies....they'll be lining up out the door of Harley dealerships with their cups of Starbuck's machiatto latte in hand. Dream on HD ! LOL !

    Skip to 2:20 in the video, the fog lamps are loose and turn out to the side because of the vibration.. just kinda thought that was funny. But awesome video! Plan on buying a heritage

    I believe it's about a $1300 difference between the 107 and 114. Well worth it to spend the extra money for the 114.

    I have the 2019 model. What’s the deal with the left passing light being turned to the left in your video? Actually, they ARE expensive, but if you’re like me, and want to ride an American classic motorcycle, you do the deal. I’m 65. If I don’t ride now, then when?

    I have a Kawasaki Vulcan 800 classic with a Blue Collar Bobber kit, Coker Classic whitewalls, Cobra slash cut drag pipes, Cobra floor boards, I paid $2400 for the bike with 2974 miles on it. With the kit , paint and the extras I have about $5000.00 in it. I didn't have to spend $20,000 to have fun. It sounds great, runs smooth, has tractor pulling power, handles the curves like a dream. I get thumbs up every where I go. People love it. The new Harleys look like a stock 2005 Vulcan. I noticed it right away. Same frame geometry and rake I believe. I sat on the new Harleys and my Kawasaki fits me better. I am six feet tall and 220 lbs. I can ride all day. On the Harley my knees are to high. I felt like I was sitting on a pony.

    Why the hell is HD charging more, but the color choices completely suck on most of the 2018 models? Electric Blue is one hell of a color, why is it only available on just 3 or 4 bikes? Why not the whole lineup? What about the special candy colors? And, what the hell is that color in this video, "Bloody Impacted Stool?"

      What is your point? I am sure your bike is very nice. Do you feel better now? Keep trying to tell yourself that your bike is as good as this new Harley. WTF.

    • @johnfair62
      @johnfair62 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kim Randall the point? The point is I don't nor does anyone else need to spend their hard earned money on a motorcycle because of a name. Kawasaki makes a very nice bike that you can customize with a Blue Collar Bobber kit. Have a unique cool looking bike and have just as much fun with money left over in your bank account. My Vulcan 800 classic used cost me $2400.00 I out another $2500.00 in it and I get thumbs up every time I ride it. The motor and transmission are bullet proof. So the point is unless you want to waste money on a company that wants to take advantage of you for every nut and bolt because it says Harley Davidson on it don't buy one. Go buy a Kawasaki and have fun.

    • @kimrandall8135
      @kimrandall8135 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well, of course you are entitled to your opinion. But you are not making your snide comments because of your love of humanity and want to save them a buck. So lets be real. You are jealous, otherwise "why" are you trolling Harleys? So to make yourself feel better you rationalize how good and smart you are by getting a metric bike. Nothing wrong with metric bikes, I have owned some also. But every single biker that I know that started out with metrics eventually graduated to Harleys. It took them a few years but that is the trend. Also, IF you are on a road trip, every 100 miles or so you can pass a Harley store. Try that with your KOW. Lets be real, Harleys are great bikes too.

    • @johnfair62
      @johnfair62 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kim Randall I can afford to buy any bike I want, no jealousy on my part. I just don't think Harleys are worth what they ask for them. Harley has the myth that if you are not riding a Harley then your not riding a real bike. People are realizing the other bikes on the market are better, affordable, and dependable. Why else would Harley change now? Harley is a sinking company. Trump just put the final nail in their coffin causing tariffs to be added on in the export to other countries. Sales will even hurt more now. Also I don't troll. I watched the video and made a comment. If you don't like my comment then ignore it.

    They are nice looking.....not that color they tested. Had bought '19 rawhide/black during the winter, trailered to Florida. Wish I would have been able to ride it before buying......Horrible riding bike, grinding brakes, terrible metal on metal sound from the engine. Them hard bags are gay, easy to pop open locked & don't latch well. The shock is stupid & You can easily scrape the floor boards. Left it in Florida & bought a '19 RGS, should have done that from the beginning!

  • @johnfair62

    18-35 years old is their target customer. 18-35 year olds that have a decent job to buy one can't because they owe student loans, car payments, car insurance, rent, gas, water, electric. They have health insurance deducted out of their paycheck. Trump and the Republicans just raised their taxes and took away their deductions. So where does Harley Davidson think they will get the money from to pay for one? They can go buy a metric bike cheaper that is very nice. A new 2018 Kawasaki 900 classic which is a very nice bike goes for around $9000.00. You can buy a Blue Collar Bobber Kit and for around $11,000 have a very cool bobber to ride around on that is fuel injected, belt driven, won't scrape the floorboards, and wont break your bank account. Good luck Harley for trying to live off your name. Those days are dying off along with the old guys riding them. If you want to pick up the next generation lower your prices, create a new image. Get rid of the fat belly tattooed bearded guys wearing bandannas and leather. That is the look of their Dads that had one. No kid wants to look like his uncool Dad.

      My 2018 Heritage rides way better... is lighter in the garage moving it around, handles WAY better. And the 114 from the factory is WAY faster. I think the 03's look nice, but no way does it look better than the 2018.
