Eh, I don't think so... Goosefeather had a premonition of him when he was still a kit. That implies that he was destined to make the choices he made, no matter who his mentor was. There are plenty of cats who have good mentors or parents, and still end up bad. It's all a choice.
Though that could be true, he was described as a happy go lucky kind of kid. Thistleclaw was more of a wants-to-be-the-very-best kind of kid. Tigerstar never had those ambitions at that age, or he would have been working on them then like most kits. And Goosefeather's little fiasco could've just implied that he can't change what was going to happen, so he might as well be ready for the storm. With Whitestorm, he told Bluestar to take care of him before Thistleclaw could take his mind. Bluestar could've been the only one to save him since she is from the prophecy. With Tigerstar, this wasn't the case. He had to be the one corrupted. And most villains come from major problems in their lives if not from their parents or mentors. In any of the books, there are no signs of him having any life problems. The only way to point to is his education. And a lot of it came from Thistleclaw.
I dunno, I still disagree with you. Even if Thistleclaw wasn't Tigerstar's mentor, Tigerstar's father would still have left ThunderClan and he still would have had to live with the "embarrassment" of being abandoned by his father. Just because someone is a happy-go-lucky kid doesn't mean they're not going to be a depressed or even murderous adult. We actually don't know what Tigerstar's ambitions were when he was a kit, because we didn't pay much attention to him in Bluestar's Prophecy. What we DID know, however, was he was constantly trying to get into trouble, constantly getting his denmates to be blamed for said trouble, and he was a very spoiled little boy. This had nothing to do with his mentor. Even if it did have anything to do with Thistleclaw, it was still Tigerstar's choice to become a traitor and a murderer. It's too easy to blame someone's bad choices or behavior on someone else that was associated with them. In reality, life is always a choice. It really bugs me that there's so many excuses for villains in Warriors, especially when they were obviously intended to be villains by the Erins. Take Scourge, for instance. Literally everyone thought he was a truly evil cat until the Rise of Scourge came out. Then it went from, "Ohmaigod he's SO EVIL" to "Awwww. He didn't mean it. He was just abused by his brother and sister and it really messed him up." Yeah, I have siblings and they play pranks on me. Do you know what I don't do? Disembowel someone in response. It's always a choice.
Really, I have a lot of information against that claim. But I don't want everyone to start chiming in on who is right and who is wrong. So let's just agree that I was always right on this... I'm kidding on that statement, but I really don't want everyone to start a never ending war, ruining the comment section for other people. You believe the story went your way, and I'll believe it went my way. And everyone who agrees with me or you can like or dislike or whatever. How about that?

He was also a yellow and white tom who started training as a medicine cat before transferring to become a warrior named Sparkstorm. He’s weirdly accurate for an AU of mine that was written far before Bramble even forgave her.
