bumblestripe, he's just so nice, what a nice guy, you should have his babies dovewing. doesn't matter that he completely changes his attitude when you reject him.
I've got concerns that some people might take this video to be about them: it's not. It's about Bumblestripe. And inbred cats.
And this is why cats who have forbidden relationships are the true heroes of this series.

Ive searched up and.. the results are.. they are related!! :) here’s the story: Willowpelt are mates with Patchpelt.. they make Darkstripe Graystripe Rainwhisker and sootfur, willowpelt and Redtail are siblings... he becomes mates with Brindleface they make sandstorm sandstorm becomes mates with Firestar Firestar sibling is princess she makes Cloudtail Cloudtail becomes mates with Brightheart they make whitewing whitewing becomes mates with Birchfall they make ivypool and dovewing ok back to Willowpelt. Willowpelt becomes mates with Patchpelt they make Graystripe, Graystripe becomes mates with Millie(and Silverstream) with Millie he made Bumblestripe ok this goes all the way back to Willowpelt Bumblestripe is Willowpelts grandchild making him related to Redtail and also to sandstorm that makes him also related to Firestar then to Cloudtail and brightheart and then related to white wing then RELATED TO DOVEWING your welcome :)

Sandstorm and Graystripe are cousins. Sandstorm would be Cloudtail's Aunt by "marriage", but Sandstorm and Witewing aren't in any way blood related.
NOW Birchfall + Icecloud on the other hand....
Birchfall's mother is Ferncloud, daughter of Brindleface and unknown. Brindleface is the daughter of Robinwing and Fuzzypelt. Robinwing and Fuzzypelt had Brindleface, Frostfur, Dustpelt, and Ravenpaw..... I'm sure you already see one problem. Dustpelt and Brindleface are brother and sister, Dustpelt and Ferncloud have about a million children one of which is Birchfall. That's not all tho because Frostfur is Brightheart's mother. Brightheart had Whitewing who became mates with Birchfall.
Birchpelt's father is also his great uncle and he married his cousin twice removed. (His mother's cousin's daughter)
Honestly they really do need to start letting clans interbreed. Graystripe's parents were littermates for starclan's sake!

@@jontyjoyce4816 they're talking about willowpelt and patchpelt. it USED to be that these two (who are siblings) were listed as graystripe's parents on an old warriors website, but this has never actually appeared in any books to my knowledge and it has since been retconned. i think the website mightve gone down since then too lol.

Actually, the clans have existed too long for incest to affect them with 100% clan cats.
After a while, cats that display deadly/negative traits die off because of their genetic inferiority, so eventually only the cats that have 100% good traits are left. After a while, there are no carriers left of the bad traits, and they die out completely.
I support the clans bringing in new cats, but incest isn’t actually one of the reasons anymore!

dovewing's mother is whitewing, and her mother is brightheart, and her father was lionheart! lionheart's sister was goldenflower, who was the mother of brambleclaw and tawnypelt. who is the mother of tigerheart! this makes them cousins, though i don't know to what actual degree (and i'm not sure how easy it would be to figure out how distant/close they are, related wise.) i think there may be another way they are related, through brindleface somehow? but don't quote me on that!

I bet inbreeding contributes to everyone forgetting parts of the warrior code and general clan life after the first series. I'm not even kidding, I'll remember something from the first series and realize that it doesn't seem to exist anymore. Small things usually, but continuity errors cannot be forgiven, not by me.
Also, fun fact about Siamese cats: They have so many health problems because of inbreeding, and the inbreeding was because breeders and show judges decided they preferred more slim and angular features rather than the rounded way that the breed is SUPPOSED to look.
So yeah, Siamese cats have a ton of health problems because some group of IDIOTS didn't like them they way they were. Thankfully there are people nowadays working to restore their TRUE look, no nasty inbreeding involved.

When I write fanfiction if they're related to everyone I just stick then with a rogue, cat from another clan or just whoever's the most distantly related (but doesn't have a creepy age difference), which unfortunately, is sometimes a cousin. I've learned that when it comes to warriors, sometimes you can't let yourself be too opposed to cousin insest. The best way to avoid it is probably to make your clans massive.

It is also rumored that he fathered Dovewing and Ivypool and that Birchfall took place as father because Whitewing didn't want her kits to face her fathers past. Though it is "confirmed" that Birchfall is the father, fans don't believe it because they don't look like him.

There is also the special case of not wanting a mate because they were in love with a cat but they chose another cat, like Mousefur when Sandkit was born. Some cats didn't want to have kits but it just happened, like Spiderleg and Lizardstripe. They also don't really care much if they are related, like Graystripes parents, his mother and father are from the same litter.

On a more serious note: Firestar knew what he was doing when he allowed loners and former kittypets join his clan. It introduced new genes to the clearly slightly diluted gene pool in the Thunderclan.

They don't, any relations between them are through mateship. If Dovepaw was one of the CrowXLeafpool litter, then they'd have VERY distant relations through Redtail, But I don't think it'd be close enough to mentally handicap any potential kits they could have, or legally (Human world) be classified as incest. It's like if you married your sister-in-law's cousin.

Sandstorm was said to be Brindleface's kit years after the books came out on Vickie's facebook page. It's really up to you if you wanna believe that or not, because it's never implied or even hinted at in the books.

I spent a long time figuring this out but, they are both distantly related to Patchpelt... very distantly. So... Bumblestripe's father is Graystripe, Graystripe's Father is Patchpelt. Dovewing's mother is Brightheart, whose mother is Frostfur, whose mother is Robinwing, who was a mate to Patchpelt. So if i can find the correct terminology, they are.... I can't be bothered. Also, if we go up through Birchfall, we also get the same result. Brichfall's mother is Ferncloud whose father is Whitestorm who was a mate to Willowpelt whose brother is Patchpelt. So technically, Dovewing's parents share a relative - Whitestorm is Brichfall's Grandfather and Whitewing's Great Uncle In-law... I think...

I saw a thing that explained how Firestar, Graystripe, and Bluestar are related so that means Bumblestripe is (distantly) related to Dovewing
