I am a new Catholic..... and I simply love Bishop Barron's sermons, Homily's and Lectures and everything in between.... God Bless him and keep him going for the sake of us all , we need more people like him, he reminds me so much of Bishop Fulton ......

Thank you Lord for your abundant blessings and grace on us. Continue Lord to bless us that we may be cleansed and sanctified more with your precious blood. Lord bless those who have asked our prayers and fulfill all their intentions. Be with us Lord as we journey in the third week of Lent that we may recieve your Fatherly forgiveness and mercy more and more every moment of our lives. Amen
Went through a rough patch a few years back, lost a job, and was feeling sorry for myself. Finally decided to get out of the house and volunteered at a local soup kitchen/pantry. The experience pulled me out of the funk I was in. Great message.

Often times those stricken by the most sadness are the most compassionate among us. They see the suffering of the world, they commiserate, they feel it, consciously and tangibly, and resign themselves "I want to fix all these problems but they're so big and so numerous, and I'm just me, just poor useless me"
You are just you, but you are NOT useless. Even the smallest act of kindness can make more of a difference than you know. Just a friendly smile or a compliment can turn someone's entire day around. Elijah doesn't ask the poor widow to bake a thousand wagons full of bread and say "alright we're off to solve world hunger." But just a little cake, just a small act of kindness towards the stranger in need, I think we can all manage that.

Many times my prayers are not answered in the way I expect. Often God’s answer to prayer is far more meaningful and profound than our immediate desires. I can’t understand God’s mind anymore than my dog can understand why I subject him to what he must views as painful and anxiety filled visits to the vet . But the visits are enormously beneficial to him in the long run. I must simply trust in the superiority of God’s plan and God’s goodness. Bishop Barron has been a major influence in guiding me and many others back to the Catholic Church. I am eternally grateful for this great bishop.
That’s you Bishop Barron ! A powerful but a basic message to Christianity so well dwelt upon and conveyed by you ! God bless and shower His grace upon you.
Bishop Barron always speaks profoundly and certainly guided by the Holy Spirit.
In my opinion he is like an anointed prophet of our days.

@@thisgirl5933 .. I wouldn’t say that, I watched that interview and he probably didn’t say what some Catholics wanted to hear, he likes to follow a line of inclusiveness not exclusive religion.. I am a Catholic as well and I don’t like to fee like we are superior or better to others.. only God will judge to everyone and like Jesus said.. we might be surprised who’s going to be at the Supper.

I have to admit. These words of Bishop Barron hits a spot. I mean, right now, we are in a turning point in our lives where we are experiencing drought. Not symbolically. But we are living on a tight leache and trying to survive. And so confusion starts to brew in me about Bishop's words. What can we give when we don't have anything to give? I mean, materially and financially, we are drying up. What we only have is our faith and hope in the Lord on how to survive. And all we have left is what we are trying to sell, our family's inheritance property because my mom's heart treatment is not that affordable as well. So here is the trust.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9 NRSV)

So true. I learned this lesson in 2008 - 09 during the recession. People lost jobs. People lost homes. Giving to our church was way down. My 1st impulse was to hoard and save for myself. I had a job, but my husband had no work for one year. But God prompted us to continue tithing. It was painful for to do so, but we did. It. And God richly blessed me with a much better job and the most fruitful work year for my husband.
