Can I just say how cool Burntrap's design is? Like with how cutesy and non-scary everything was in Security Breach, just to have a literal corpse walking around is crazy. I feel like people don't talk about how good the design is enough (I mean at least it's better than peanut Afton)
hot take (pun intended) : pee paw afton is too frail looking to be threatening, scraptrap with some parts rescaled would've looked better imo (smaller forhead, bigger ears) the whole corpse thing is cool, but knowing you're just fighting a decades old corpse that has that little reinforcing it , coupled with how it walks in game and in the final cutscene, makes me think greg could've kicked it over
@@MarvelousButterif I'm not mistaken I think it was because the bro wasn't finished being fixed up and repaired, and the burntrap ending was a sort of us interrupting that and dealing with an unprepared mimic/burntrap, as otherwise I'm pretty sure the dude would have just ran after us like the mimic did after Cassie, as when it's not in a weakened state it sure takes advantage of it. And well also since it's now a what if Gregory thought of, maybe he thought it would have been weak and frail with how old it was and it's appearance being something made of himself theorizing what was happening in the pizzaplex as funny as that sounds, I mean Gregory is obviously aware stuff was happening and so he probably started doing research and found the previous games and thought of different scenarios that might be happening or might happen when he's there or of he tries to find what's causing everything.
@@MarvelousButter I believe that if Gregory tried kicking Peepaw Willy, he'd just break his foot. Peepaw used parts from Springtrap, and the only thing that made Springtrap look bigger than he actually was, was the suit. Peepaw here is missing a majority of the suit, or whatever is left of the suit, and that's why he looks so frail.
Someone else commented on this. I pointed out that it'd be way too close of a reference to CC :V Mimic + Cry = Crying Child ...which could then lead to Greggory = CC vs Mimic + Greggory = Grimic
Mimicry would have been too smooth of a portmanteau in my opinion, because it is easy to miss the Gregory part hidden in it. It's good if you wanna hide it, but in this instance, you wanna have it be more obvious and a bit clunky.
@@sonjaimmonen6610 I mean, the tag would have been on dialouge lines belonging to the "Gregory" we hear throughout the game. Not to mention the reveal at the end. I think people would still be able to get the general meaning
Endo is the robotic skelaton where the springlock suits are just suits with springlocks that unlock when a human is put in there, when a endo is put in there they springs are released and push into the animtronics, othwrwise human mode needs to be cranked back. The sitster location springlocks suits have tubes in them that are for cooling features.
If you look at the unused model of spring bonnie found in the files for fnaf help wanted, you can see that the endo used for him (well, the parts that were finished) match pretty well with burntrap, especially the metal ribcage that both the endos have, so it seems like burntrap is just a springlock endo with corpse parts, which would mean that burntrap and the mimic can't be the same being, as the mimic isn't a springlock suit, but for all we know, they could have retconned the spring bonnie design to fit in with the new story. edit: the ribcage type chest also matches up with springtrap's endo
But yea also true the endo was reckoned or something Tbh thats the thing about fnaf. I feel like so much things get reckoned that it mixed the story 😂.
Kinda burntraps model is a bunch of models put together his bone hand is a reused nightmare BB hand some of his parts are glamrock endos and like you said someparts are spring Bonnie parts
I also wonder where the suit came from. Ideally I would imagine it as an asset for museum in rockstar row that vanny stole. But even trying to say its a retkonned version of scraptraps suit could be possible though the suit doesn't look burnt to me honestly.
I did not notice that the Blob had black eyes as well. That is a really cool point, and makes me definitely believe the agony idea. Especially as a lot of people have posited that the Blob is just an amalgamation of agony.
Agony is immortal remnant souls I heard to so William glitchtrap burntrap could possessed the blob that makes him more powerful immortal Afton blob amalgamation To maybe this is my theory
To me, it's pretty obvious that Burntrap was always meant to be Afton and not the Mimic, as in one of the earlier trailers for Security Breach you can hear cut content of Afton speaking to not only Vanny, but probably other animatronics as well. This is obviously not the Mimic. I feel as though this is something many people have forgotten when debating whether or not Burntrap is the Mimic.
@@yourlocaltapeworm weren't the books planned at the same time as the game released cause If I remember correctly we knew the books would come out when the game wasn't out yet
@@yourlocaltapeworm I think it's more so that the Mimic was already planned as a character with the book lore being a thing at the time of Security Breach's release. If it is a retcon, then what they did is just use an existing character they were already planning on introducing later on in place of Afton coming back, but I don't think that's the case considering the evidence.
I would like to point out a few details. At this time Cassidy is trapped in their own purgatory, while glitchy purple rabbits hunt them, this suggests that the digital world Cassidy has made to torture afton has been uno reverse carded The flesh on burn trap, upon close inspection, appears to be growing onto the suit, one example of this is the rabbit ears if you look at his flesh it seems to be growing into the ears. look closely and you will find that even the "suit" is made from flesh, closely resembling 4th degree burns (it's real, look it up) As for the Endo, it some parts might belong to a twisted animatronic, though the books don't occur in game it's possible afton has made blueprints for animatronics that just went around murdering people, then decided that was a poor idea, also some parts come from the mimic as there are pieces that look like the can extend and retract, as well as a few spring lock parts as well. Also the afton and mimic have very different personalities, the mimic is a soulless machine who is extremely impatient, and wants to perform a task as quickly as possible (we see this Everytime mimic gets irritated by every obstacle in your way) while afton is very patient he will wait days or weeks, months, or even years of he thinks there is a chance of his favorable outcome. Burn traps eyes are also important, as afton loses his humanity his eyes reflect it, spring trap having the most human eyes out of the traps, with burntrap's being literal cameras
Perhaps the Burntrap arm being on the Mimic doesn’t mean they’re the same. Perhaps the Mimic just replaced its arm with Burntrap’s. There’s a lot more of it that doesn’t match Burntrap than does match it, after all
Personally, i believe the Hand is simply another copy from the same unknown Model of Endo. If Vanny replaced William's hands with new ones (Which seems likely, like she did for his legs), she would've sourced it locally. And the Mimic? It also may source it's parts locally... Plus we do know that other parts of the Mimic like the Endo 01 foot arent from a specific character.
I believe that Burntrap's identity may be that he is Luca from the Tales From The Pizza Plex story "Pressure", in which a teenager enters a fnaf 3 role-playing game wearing a Springbonnie outfit modified to look like Springtrap, but in the end it turns out that the suit was a real springlock, and Luca accidentally activates the springlocks and dies inside the suit. Now, taking into account that Burntrap is not Afton, much less Mimic since this one NEVER came out of the hole in which he was locked under concrete in the ruined pizzaplex (since we are told that this one was behind this wall in the pizzaplex area after the events of FNaF 6, and well, we only broke this wall in ruins), and therefore it is impossible for it to be burntrap since it was in a capsule of the pizzaplex, and even more so with Scott Cawthon's latest statements in which he said that it was not planned to be a final boss or anything like that, that he is simply going to stay still in the dark in various corners as a simple easter egg, we can deduce that it may be. try Luca. You could say that Fazbear Entertainment saw a corpse in a springlock suit and decided to hide it and keep the evidence to themselves as always. That's my theory.
on the point of Gregory not remembering what he did as GGY, i just want to point out that Security Breach takes place over the course of several hours and has him in a state of high adrenaline, there's no reason he couldn't have remembered afterwards once everything happened and Gregory calmed down
i love you my guy, that’s why i’m so disappointed that you took a betterhelp sponsorship. we need to stop looking over their shitty past and how they are absolutely ass at therapy. as someone who is currently seeing a therapist, do not bother with them
I don't think he knew it's the same situation with matpat he had a sponsor with people that did bad things unlike this fandom some of his fandom hated him because of that and left even though he did not know
@@lividellis2757 you have to realise that if he took the sponsorship without looking into the company, then that’s really stupid and irresponsible. when you search betterhelp on youtube the first thing you see is people digging up their past
I think it makes sense for Burntrap to be The Mimic, but then again, Burntrap might not even be a thing. He could’ve been made up by Gregory’s imagination. Gregory even says he “doesn’t really know what it is,” but he’s definitely heard of it. And if it is/was partly mimicking Afton, that would make sense for it to have the suit.
From what I’ve seen, it looks like we’re on the brink of war. There could be at least 3 Afton entities running around. Glitchtrap, Burntrap, and the Mimic (if you think it’s mimicking Afton, like Vanny’s endo training suggests). And we can see they don’t particularly like each other from Helpi’s and Grimic’s little argument. I think tension is building, mind controlled armies are being built, and some very angry rabbit killers are looking to become more powerful. And it’s all going to be seeded out in VR2, the place where Afton discovered the power of remnant and where we might be able to find the key to his defeat
Really interesting theory. This is a question I've had since Ruin came out. After watching this video I think Burntrap is just Afton. The Burntrap endoskeleton is the same as the scrapped Help Wanted Spring Bonnie endoskeleton, so I think it would make sense if it was just Springtrap, maybe with the Mimic AI implanted by Vanny but still separate from the Mimic endo. This would actually line up with a theory I watched recently from a youtuber called Stormister. It was basically about the Mimic wanting to recreate the events from the indie games, so it would make sense if it made Vanny put a copy of the Mimic AI in the remains of Springtrap to bring it back to life. I really recommend watching that theory btw. Its called "I found a perfect* solution to FNAF's modern lore".
Ive been saying this for ages, I believe that EVERY ending happened in some way, and the burntrap ending was the "final" ending after everything else happened. Freddy lost his head, Vanessa was freed, THEN they went down to the Fnaf 6 location and encountered burntrap and the blob, BUT the fire never happened because the blob came after burntrap as soon as it left the pod, causing the earthquake that destroyed the pizzaplex. The reason we dont see burntrap in ruin is as you said; the blob took him away, potentially so he can be an antagonist in a future game (he always comes back). The mimic just happened to be below the fnaf 6 location because fnaf6 was built on top of fredbears, which Gregory and Vanessa mustve explored after the blob left with burntrap because we see his bag in the mxes room, my guess is the mimic called out to them to try and free itself because theyre likely the first people to be down there in decades. Gregory then realizes the danger the mimic poses and upgrades the mxes software to keep it from controlling anything in the pizzaplex.
@@belynda1224 retcons do not happen in the same game released at the same time lmao, that makes no sense. and isnt good evidence for a theory. retcons happen when something newly released changes what happened in old, previously released media.
thank you buntrap and mimic being two different things honestly cleans up a lot of the problems we currently have with SB and Ruin and honestly im completely ok if the mimic is just this new unknown enemy in the games, i don't think the book mimic and game mimic are the same but still new unknown enemy in the game is ok by me
Who’s gonna tell this guy he likely doesn’t care and is only interested in the money the advertisers are offering as is the case with most sponsorships of any kind?
@@NonstickSQYD he mostly likely does care because if he takes on shit sponsors his viewers will get upset and if they get upset they will leave. A lot of content creators care for this reason. Its stupid to take on a sponsor your viewers don't like so its good to speak out and say you don't like something. That way maybe more people will see it and not like it and tell it to the content creator
I had a very similar thought re: William possessing his own corpse/the Springlock suit just a few days ago. So yeah, his agony activating the burnt suit makes perfect sense to me.
The Mimic would probably be a good host for William Afton and might be kept there as a backup in case Burntrap didn't work out. It naturally mimics things so it would probably easily take in William Afton's digital copy and its ability to alter it size would make him a better killer
Yeah. Imo, if the Mimic really was Burntrap, and Burntrap uses the og Springtrap suit, then it would only allow Afton's spirit to possess the Mimic, as it's wearing a part of Afton, and as stated in the books, the soul follows the pain, and the flesh.
@@Scar-Predatoras it's stated in the books, afton died for good before glitchtrap's creation. Glitchtrap isn't a digital copy, it's the mimic mimicking springtrap's appearence, and burntrap is the mimic endo doing it as well. After security breach glitchtrap died, that's why in ruin the mimic has ditched his disguise
@@Fredericklarson7 the books do not state that or even imply it. Afton's physical body exploded in a Fazbear Entertainment Distribution Center at the end of TMIR1280, which was quite obviously a backstory/set up for Glitchtrap, and Glitchtrap says Afton's iconic line, which he would have absolutely no way of knowing, if he really was the Mimic.
The concept of Agony is such a simple concept to grasp when you look at it the same way we look at stories like Annabelle. It's a haunted doll, because (at least in the movie story) a woman was murdered near the doll. Her pain and agony went into the doll and now its evil. It's such a refreshing take from just "oh it was a ghost and now ghost in doll" I do love simple possession, like the Fnaf 1 animatronics being possessed because the dead bodies were in the suits and fused with the metal, but now the idea has spread to even more, and to me that's super unique!
I have a really important question for you- I’m working on a FNAF analog horror series with practical costumes and uh.. I’ve been kinda struggling on this idea Is it better to go for the simple Possession route or the agony route? Been unsure what was better
@@skelebonez1349 Honestly it could go either way. Because the idea of Agony being what's in ALL of the "possessed" animatronics (ie. not the toy ones from Fnaf 2) still makes sense for the story. In the games, we never saw the bodies in the suits, it was just assumed from the hints in Fnaf 1, so claiming it's just Agony from the children murdered in the pizzeria doesn't change anything. I think it just depends on what YOU want to do! Which would be easier, which would be more fun, or which one could be the scariest 🤗 good luck!
@@damkylan3 I thought they weren't possessed but just connected to the sex offender database, was it confirmed that they had dead kids connected to them? Lol
@@animeFAN1743 aight!!! I’ll likely do the agony thing but. Recontextualize it a bit. To where it’s a mix of the simple possessions and agony. Where the emotions of both positive and negative are in the animatronic, but it’s more greatly to the negative side Think of it as say, your relative became a zombie. They still kinda act like your relative, but they also wanna eat your flesh
Imagine how rabid the fan base would have been for Glamrock Bonnie if he was in SB. Like fully animated/voiced and everything? people simped for Monty but I feel like Bonnie would have had almost as much love from a different subset of the fandom.
Canonically, Gregory should have been to the basement to know about/set up this m.x.e.s thingie. So the burntrap ending could've partially happened and the blob took care of burn trap without gregory's interference.
RyeToast, your sponsorship segments are really creative and they add some nice lore and story to your channel. Tl;Dr, Channel lore takes away from genuine feelings and audience connection. The issue, and I'm sure you hear this a lot, is that it makes any heartfelt moment you try to share with your audience feel... strange. I'd almost say 'disingenuous', but it's always clear that you're always coming from the heart when you talk directly to the viewers. It's just always in the back of my mind during those moments.
Hey Rye please don't take BetterHelp's money! They've been charged for selling the private data of their customers to advertisers and don't need more people advertising for them. Stellar video as always, hope your day is great!
I think the reason we don't see burn trap is that the earthquake that was mentioned knocked burntrap out of the charging pod and got crushed by rubble. And for the people who are going to mention the fact the pod is closed when Cassie gets too it, remember these things automatically shut. The thing just shut on burntrap.
Several options, actually: - Burntrap just left, like the Blob is doing - Blob'd. - As you mentioned, possibly trapped on Greggory's side under the rubble. - Just somewhere else in the area, possibly even in SL.
Yeah, prolly. I really think that Burntrap's identity may be that he is Luca from the Tales From The Pizza Plex story "Pressure", in which a teenager enters a fnaf 3 role-playing game wearing a Springbonnie outfit modified to look like Springtrap, but in the end it turns out that the suit was a real springlock, and Luca accidentally activates the springlocks and dies inside the suit. You could say that Fazbear Entertainment saw a corpse in a springlock suit and decided to hide it and keep the evidence to themselves as always. That's my theory.
Rue, I just want to add, the springlock suits, when in suit mode, have no endo, the endo gets removed, and the real threat is the locks in the plastic shell that have pointy ends that snap into the endo when inserted. This is why the failure is so painful, it's the pointy locks, piercing into the victum
My speculation is that they are the same, in the sense that Glitchtrap is the mind inside both Mimic and Burntrap. Since the Ruin DLC heavily implies that the princess quest ending is canon, I'm under the impression that Burntrap's body was no longer available. Vanessa probably still remembered being forced to work on it, and might have worked with Gregory to destroy it. Gregory's picture might imply that the Blob ended up finishing the job, or that they intentionally lured it to Burntrap. Under this assumption, I think that Glitchtrap inhabited the Mimic body out of desperation.
Helpi seemingly gets possessed by an unknown force at times who argues with Grimic on who ended up taking out MXES, so I think they're separate but allied entities.
This is very accurate imo, Glitchtrap is what remains of William's memory and spirit while Burntrap is what remains of the rest of William, both with part of Cassidy via the books and Princess Quest having just William and Cassidy. This is a great narrative and connects a lot of things in a nice little bow which is exactly what Scott and SteelWool want.
@@Algia_ Well, Dungeons & Dragons says that mimics can look like any inanimate object, not just chests. They could be a closet, a wardrobe, a bathtub, a toilet, a chair, a table, _an entire house_ ...

I love his content and I can tell that he didn’t partner with them out of anything other that ignorance but I despise betterhelp and the people who defend them as they get into controversy after controversy and somehow manage to just sweep it under the rug! I really wish more people knew bout the shit betterhelp has pulled
Basically Afton came back, this time as an actual zombie, gets yeeted by the Blob. Meanwhile the mimic1 program/Glitchtrap virus gets kicked out of the system when Gregory beats the 3rd Princess quest game. And the Mimic comes back as well, um, how we see him in Ruin, where he's basically Scraptrap, being made of spare parts attached to what was left, but better. So, we got from ghosts and zombies that come back, to advanced AI and a pile of scrap that keeps coming back. This franchise is weird, I love it.
You make great content and we always watch you latest FNAF videos and we’re glad you get paid by sponsors, but BetterHelp is not it. They stole a lot of healthcare data from their patients and sold it to advertisers. Really bad company that tarnishes your name.
Also that’s only the most recent controversy with them! When they first started sponsoring TH-camrs and becoming more well know it came out that most of the “therapists” on there were not even licensed! I personally would not trust them with ANYTHING let alone mental health. I also find it really disheartening when creators I love partner with betterhelp just because they did such a good job of sweeping everything under the rug! I do disagree bout it tarnishing reputation though- just because someone makes mistake doesn’t mean their reputation is ruined and also this specific case is only because the company is good about hiding their shadiness
The whole mimic/burntrap thing feels so inconsistent that it makes me feel like at some point between Security Breach and Ruin they decided to retcon Burntrap due to poor reception from fans
@@v1ct0rygames32Yeah, I don't hate it at all, the Mimic is sick and opens up a lot of opportunities for theories. Unfortunately though it makes even more of a mess of trying to figure everything out when trying to create a cohesive story out of the games. Hopefully in the next game or book we get some clarification to help us figure out what they want us to take from it rather than leaving it as another ambiguous thing
Although burntrap might not be a real thing, it still kinda puzzles me as to why his pod would be in the basement and what those rooms were for if not him as the mimic was being held in a completely different area of the building. I think parts of the burntrap and princess quest could both share cannonicity and i think the mimic is seperate from burntrap. The blob still being in the pizzaplex might still confirm the existence of burntrap and maybe they fused to become the amalgamation like in the books
I believe that Blob/tangle did indeed capture Burntrap, I see it this way: After Vanny got freed from Glitchtrap's control William/his remnants decided that it's time to escape as it lost control and while trying to escape blob got them and then caused the earthquake ruining the pizzaplex. Soon after Vanessa and Greg went back to the pizzaplex to find burntrap but instead found the mimic and trapped it.
Not about Burntrap and Mimic but I actually think No Head Fred in the Fazerblast section is a hallucination. Freddy’s body is there, with similar damage and no head but by this point Cassie is so scared, stressed and probably off centre due to the VANNI mask constantly switching her between AR and the Real World that when she sees it moving she hallucinates it chasing her like a monster, even though it’s just a robotic body that’s twitching. The prototype and different gift colour (as well as it being unopened) are simply Cassie’s memory effecting her hallucinations. She was there when the Pizzaplex was in it’s early stages, she’d have seen the prototype animatronics and I wouldn’t be surprised if the gift she’s seeing is the gift Freddy gave her on her birthday, that’s why he doesn’t exist in the mask and can’t harm her. This could even have been implied by the trailers as Freddy doesn’t have prototype on his foot in the trailer
There's graffiti about "Badbear" and "Fazfiend" leading up to him, and around the Pizzaplex by people who had gone searching the ruins. So either he's a mass hallucination... somehow, or he's real. But he's for sure not a Cassie-specific hallucination.
17:00 Thank you Thank you for saying this. I am so tired of all those people screaming mimic is obviously burntrap. For me it never makes that much sense- for example if the theory about Blob taking Burntraps agony would be true - then where would the corpse go ? How would he repair himself if there are no endo parts ? Anyway I am glad and really thankful for this video. It helped a lot even if it’s just a theory :)
I don't believe that Burntrap is the mimic personally. To me its always seemed like the mimic and Burntrap are two different stories that are not meant to be directly linked. I believe the Burntrap/Security Breach story is a bridge between the original FNAF story and the future mimic oriented story, and that the destruction of the Pizzaplex via Security Breach's story (the Glitchtrap virus, Vanny's digging, the sinkhole etc) is what allows the Mimic its chance to escape from the room its been walled in for seemingly decades. The Mimic was down there before Pizzeria Simulator and it was down there before FNAF 6 bunker was built (if the theory that scooper/elevator area is the FNAF 6 bunker as it really appears is true, ymmv of course).
On the subject of Gregory and the Blob: Gregory's backpack is in the basement. The drawing of the Blob/Burntrap ending is in the basement. So Gregory was in the basement at some point. The mention of the nightmare animatronics ... Burntrap has purple gas in his charging station. It's possible that Burntrap's appearance is partially the result of hallucinogenic gas similar to the actual nightmare animatronics. The 'pure agony' explanation would likely mean that both the Blob and Burntrap are the leftover agony of Molten Freddy and Scraptrap respectively. That does leave both Scrapbaby and Lefty unaccounted for. We don't actually see Lefty get burned like the other three in the FnaF6 ending.
Thank you for pointing out that, for Gregory to have drawn Burntrap and the Blob, he would have to know they exist. That’s why I will die on the hill that the Burntrap Ending did also happen, even if not exactly as depicted.
I wanna watch an ending of Burntrap finally being set free from the Charging Station... only to slowly figure out he is stuck in the sinkhole because he can't get out by himself
A spring lock suit that had the mimic program so they didn’t have to wear them anymore, is merged with William after the spring lock failure, learning from Williams every move becoming a exact copy of him
Be careful, better help sells its users data. They are making money off of you. I don’t know how deep the information you get is but it is scary to think a mental health app is selling your data
Also that’s only the most recent controversy with them! I personally would not trust them with ANYTHING let alone mental health. I also find it really disheartening when creators I love partner with betterhelp just because they did such a good job of sweeping everything under the rug! Honestly I wish betterhelp would go bankrupt already
The only reason why they made up the whole Mimic Arc is because they couldn't get everything they wanted for SB (due to age limits) and because people started to make fun of them for bringing yet again Williamtrap. Like the meme says _"how many times do we have to teach you a lesson old man?"_
Tales from the Pizzaplex was planned since 2019, it was very clear that Burntrap was always meant to be the Mimic but because Steel Wool wasn't told by Scott what he wanted to happen, they thought it was their job to connect the pieces and make Burntrap an enemy in game when you were just supposed to see him inactive through a crack in the wall(sort of as a prop to theorize before the reveal in a later game as he hunts you).
I think that in the original vision of the Security Breach the good Vanny and Burntrap boss fight endings would’ve been tied together. Like you go to fight Vanny and save her, find out she was Vanessa all along and then she warns us about Burntrap and tells us to go to the raceway to go down and stop him while also warning us about the blob. As for if the mimic is Burntrap I think that it would depend on how far back the mimic comes from. I’ve seen a theory that the location under Fnaf 6 that we find the mimic in is actually Circus Baby’s (the location that closed before officially opening because Elizabeth died), if that turns out to be true then it’s very possible that the mimic was an experiment by William, either as a prototype Funtime or a first attempt and making a robot that could imitate his sons behaviour or heck here’s a really wild theory, maybe the old debate of pink guy vs purple guy might come back and the mimic is actually programmed to imitate William and be his accomplice. For any of these I find it plausible that William through Glitchtrap could’ve directed Vanny to recover both the burnt remains of his corpse, now accessible as Cassidy is trapped in princes quest and without her the blob is an unthinking writhing pile of agony, and fuse it to the mimic like a suit in order to either have him regain consciousness or to have a sort of spiritual
If i can play the NERD here really quick, Burntraps endo parts are made out of glamrock endo parts and also the remainings of the Springbonnie/Springtrap endo skelton. I took a closer look on the actual model in 3d and the parts match perfectly! Same ribcage, same arms and same chest parts while the legs are clearly parts of a glamrock endo. The hands look to me like nightmare hands but idk how that is suppose to work. (Maybe some Afton tech or something haha) The Mimic does not have any of these. (Besides the one hand, but even that hand looks different up and close) I think the eyes are ment to be the same eyes as the ones from Scraptrap since he also had black/silver eyes. Thats what i think atleast. What i also think is that Burntrap is not the agony of Afton, but actually is William Afton. That makes Glitchtrap, Afton too since i see Burntrap as a physical recreation of himself. There is alot more evidence for that in Glitchtrap too. But these are just my thoughts, awesome video like always!
>The hands look to me like nightmare hands but idk how that is suppose to work. Admittedly, i suspect they're from an unknown "Endo 03" somewhere in the area (considering Vanny's sourcing parts locally). @@higueraft571 My guess for the hands is that they're probably custom parts built from existing hardware, which makes me think that Afton liked his hands a lot and really wanted to make sure he had the right number of fingers to kill people with.
@@magnatcleo2043 Honestly, yeah. I could definitely see them being a design he made. I *do* suspect he had spares, since the Mimic eventually got ahold of one...
I mean Burntrap was in that charging station and the Mimic was trapped in a different room for who knows how long. Not to mention that Burntrap has the remains of a dead body and the Spring bonnie costume on him so I really don't see how they could be the same character.
Yeah because the mimic don't need a charging station for no reason at all only William glitchtrap burntrap do for some reason and there's purple smoke that comes out of the charging station when William bunrtrap come out of it and the same purple smoke coming out of the charging station is the same purple eye color of glitchtrap burntrap William purple guy so mimic could be it's own separate individual character and the mimic was locked in the room trapped behind a concrete wall before and it had to have Cassie help to escape cuz it all mimic want to do was escape like Ennard circus baby and mimic using people as skinsuit mascots like Ennard circus baby glitchtrap burntrap William don't do that and mimic has orange eyes that it never purple.
What about it wasn't one ending but two at the end of SB? The Burntrap ending and Vanny endings both line up very well when one considers that Freddy and Gregory needed to get back out of the sinkhole and Vanny could have been ready. This, also, could explain the damage done below that could have opened the segment to the Mimic and why the animatronics after a time stop aiding Burntrap, returning above in preparation.
Another design difference we notice between The Mimic and BurnTrap is the lack of sharp claws on the Mimic’s left hand, having 3 toes on the left foot rather then BurnTrap having 4 and 3 toes on the right when TheMimic doesn’t look like it has toes on it’s right foot, the eyes are completely different and TheMimic shares very less damaged looking legs rather then BurnTrap, that tells me they are not the same characters, but that’s just my own theory (sorry not doing MatPat’s line)
I've been wanting someone to talk about this since Ruin came out, this is great! Kinda unrelated (?) but it's interesting to me how Bonnie's fate parallels Afton getting sealed in the saferoom and forgotten. No idea what to do with that (if anything), but I just can't get it out of my head.
Vanny was semi-invisible to animatronics, and might have gotten close enough to see the Blob without getting past it. Plus, Freddy also saw it, and likely kept his memories, but didn't nessicarily see Burntrap. Or rather, didn't get to examine the Mimic...
Honestly security breach was so confusing and not what i expected (even though the dlc was amazing and much better) that i just started writing my own rewritten version just to satisfy myself and to make a better and understandable story, this isn’t a comic or anything i just write them for fun.
This new era Steel Wool has made is weird. Like every other game (except sister location) before this era could have worked as the finale. Scott has held certain cards (Cough, Cassidy) too close and not communicated well exactly what the overarching narrative is. Bad communication and holiday deadlines aren't a great mix for any franchise. Big game companies also have censorship of any harm to children, which is a real Fazwrench to classic FNaF tropes and requires workarounds (that the fans have taken too literally in some cases).
I kinda want burntrap within the blob to have the goal of finding golden freddy so he can free himself from hell or something would just be cool for golden freddy to actually show up again.

One thing everyone overlooks is the mysterious door closing when Cassie first entered the Pizzaplex, implying someone else was in the main entrance of the mall (and I think it’s Burntrap unless the books did happen and Burntrap is in a hospital bed)
That story takes place pre-Pizzaplex, as evidence of Eleanor after her defeat is in the Pizzaplex books. The Ultimate Guide states that the FFPS fire is indeed the fire that left him burned in that story. By all accounts, William is dead now.

No. They looked nothing alike. But I think I have a better question… let's go back to Glitchtrap. To Help Wanted. What do you think Glitchtrap is truly? Is it the Mimic or is actual William Afton? At least a part of Afton. Or is it both? To me after researching both the books and games. I’m leaning towards it being Both in someway.
@@MISSWHAT-lp5om And Glitchtrap doesnt exist in the books, only an AI inside the system, with a White Tiger persona, named Mimic1 :V While in the games, Tier Rock doesnt exist, yet we have an AI that's mimicking William exclusively. POSSIBLY with a vague hint towards it's past (the spit and tears, although the exact meaning in unknown, especially if the Edwin Story didnt happen). We really DONT know where Mimic1 even comes from exactly, aside from an assorted pile of boards with no known origin aside from "some animatronics". What we *do* know is it took on an Afton persona and started taking people over (Jeremy, Tape Girl, Vanessa, Greggory), much like Mimic1 did in the books. ...except that one's victim (Kane) used a table saw instead of the Guillotine Paper Cutter (Jeremy).
I think it's possible that the Mimic both is and isn't Burntrap at the same time. The physical form of Burntrap is the remains of Scraptrap, post-fire. It's Afton's suit and Afton's corpse. However, Afton himself is still enduring Ultimate Custom Night, and isn't in control of his body, which is animated mostly by Agony. I don't think that means he's dead per se, as _The Man in Room 1280_ implies that UCN is less of a literal hell, and more of a living one inflicted upon a comatose Afton. And that's why his organic bits are fleshier and wetter than they were in Pizza Sim: The Remnant and/or Agony still lingering is causing his flesh to very slowly regenerate. However, the reason it shares mannerisms with the Mimic is that it's infected with Mimic01/Glitchtrap. Vanny was responsible for rebuilding Burntrap, and she was under the control of the Mimic through Glitchtrap, but I think it's likely that either Vanny believed Glitchtrap to be Afton, or Glitchtrap believes _itself_ to be Afton, and thus Vanny loaded the virus into Burntrap, thinking she was restoring Afton's mind to his body. Ultimately, though, the reason why Burntrap doesn't do much more than stumble around and try to infect Freddy is that Afton's Agony and Mimic01 are in conflict.
>which is animated mostly by Agony. Agony IS Remnant/part of a Soul, so yes William is still controlling himself :V >However, the reason it shares mannerisms with the Mimic is that it's infected with Mimic01/Glitchtrap. Will admit, i DO believe Glitchtrap was put in there, also that it pried the Enragement Child off of William. And that William escaped UCN as a result. Possibly even striking a deal to work together...
My idea was that since no one was there to let burntrap out he overcharged and just burned up into ashes that's why the container is just black smoke Also I just assumed that vanny pulled a lever or pressed a button from afar to let him out
>and just burned up into ashes So what happened to his Endo? >Also I just assumed that vanny pulled a lever or pressed a button from afar to let him out This assumes that you NEED someone to open it, rather than being opened from inside, like with the other glamrocks/charging stations.
Did we all forget the one group of animatronics thstt to can actually voice mimic and also fix themselves? The Funtime animatronics that William Afton build.
Another thing that disproves the mimic being bruntrap is, why tf would the mimic put on Williams skull, flesh, and suit? It was programmed to rip off limbs, that’s it.
So I just noticed that the mimic in security breach has to almost identical arms and hands they are almost the exact same except for the fingers and really the only Mitch Match thing at least heavily appears to be the legs and the mimic was legless at a point in time and since those staff repaired the destroyed mimic would make sense that they would give the legless endo some legs Also if anybody finds this comment and want us to make a video on this please please credit me
I love this video so much, actually backs up what I've been saying. Do have a few things to add though: So Burntrap actually has the top half of the VR Help Wanted unused Springbonnie endo, but he also has the lower half of the Glamrock endo. The Mimic has a boxy body, and his arms can change size and length because they work like a toy lightsaber. The parts of the arms can slide in or out of each other to make the arm longer or shorter, it is clear when closely looking at his model. I really like this video though, good work man :D
As a writer what i have realized is that this franchise did AI villians justice. Alot of writers try to put emotion to AI villians for motives but this franchise uses only programming and twist it into something horrifying.
I don't know if you brought this up already in a separate video, if so, let me know! But I've noticed major design similarities between Burntrap and the Mimic... Look at their in-even feet, the left foot is normal whilst the other is bigger, they have the same hand, heck, I think the Mimic even does the same pose Burntrap does (the thing with his arm) while shoving the thingy majig (I forgot the name of the vehicle lmao) out of the way.
@@sunsetlover123-y7c as a side/supporting argument yeah but for the main one you need find something in the story and lore that definitely says Mimic = Burntrap, cause if we were basing things on design similarities then Mike Afton could be springtrap cause in that one SL CN cutscene he was purple, which is not true as even stated by Scott cause people were basing their theories on Design similarities.
@@sunsetlover123-y7c Do have to disagree here though: Vanny definitely did some repairs to Burntrap from Local parts. The hands, the Glamrock Legs attached to his pelvis, the plates on his back shell. What stops Mimic from getting the same model hands, if they're ALSO from down there? As far as we can tell, the hands are an unknown Endo Model we havent seen before, one likely sourced from the FNAF 6/Fredbear's/God knows what Location. It'd kind of be like saying that, because Mimic has an Endo 01 foot, it has to be one of the Classic animatronics/Endo 01.
@@ikowski2947 fair point, but there are many other pieces of evidence outside of design similarities that point to the Mimic and Burntrap being the same, eg. The Mimic pulling the same pose Burntrap does when knocking over that vehicle. (The Arm Pose.)
I feel like the main issue for me is that there are not many connections between Burntrap and the mimic in-game. There are very few, they are below the pizzaplex, they share a left hand model structure, and that's about it. If Steelwool wanted to really say "Burntrap is the Mimic" they could have added a discarded Burntrap mask or a piece of burntrap's suit fall off of the mimic to say "they are meant to be the same"
About your agony part of the video, we have another proof about William's agony being powerful enough to posses Mimic: In TFTPP story "Pressure" we witness how Luca gets posessed himself after wearing real og Springtrap's suit in Role Play area and eventually attacking a person. So yeah, that suit is very dangerous and powerful
I think all the ending are in some way canon, maybe the intent was for the original game to take place over five nights but he kept getting kidnapped or would go back to charge Freddy. Maybe he does the burntrap ending and then saves Vanessa
I believe Burntrap and Mimic are two separate characters at this point. We know steel wool changed their story due to fan backlash over afton's return. Another weird thing beyond the magical walkie talkie that can apparently communicate through several layers of earth/buildings, how does he mimic still have power? There's no charging station in its room. Burntrap at least HAD a charging station, yet mimic doesn't even though we know it's been sealed for quite a while. Seriously this story has gone from paranormal, to sci-fi, to fantastical in the span of just a game.
Same, but it makes more sense to go for the Quest ending, as the sinkhole where Btrap us could've collapsed later on anyway. But they did receive backlash I will agree.
How can we say that Burntrap exists in the first place? What if its just an imagination from Gregory (the drawings of the non-canon endings). Edit: nevermind I now saw the last part. Great video :)
If Burntrap is just a figment of Gregory's imagination then so is The Blob who does appear in Ruin. And I find it weird how Gregory could even imagine something so specific as a skeleton of a man attached to an old animatronic.
Two things you didn't mention: The Mimic can shapeshift into different forms + the vandalized endo image that shows an endoskeleton with rabbit ears and Glitchtrap behind it. For me these are evidence of them being the same. Not to mention that Burntrap model was stated to be made from different assets, like, the bones were just Nightmare BB's fingers. Then there's Vanessa creating Springtrap replicas in Special Delivery and all of them had corpses. So she can put one on The Mimic, or even just use one of the victims, heck even Luca from the story "Pressure" who died in a Springtrap springlock suit in The Pizzaplex can be used.
Ugh not too pleased on the betterhelp ad given their huge controversies recently, but you gotta do what you gotta do to make money i suppose. However peepaw is the subject and therefor watch
I can imagine Vanessa giving the mimic sewing lessons to help build the costume. It's also funny to imagine that it just learned on its own. We need answers.
I wish Matpat would react to your theories. You are really talented theorist with good ideas. You definitely deserve more attention. And you've made the best addvertisment i saw in a long time.
I mean, Burntrap might not even be a thing in the first place ! At least, not fully. Besides, I think Burntrap is the project Vanny was working on. A modified Glamrock endo (that's why it's uniqur and why his hands are similar to the original Mimic) with the burned remains of Afton on it. With Glitchtrap, the Mimic program putting on the Afton persona as a digital virus, controlling the body after it would have been transfered into it. Basically, a new body for the Mimic now that he wants to incarnate William (since, I belive, the Mimic *wants* to impersonate individual because he has no personality, because he feels like he is no one). Yet it was unfinished because Vanessa was freed before she could put the whole project into full motion. The original Mimic body (and IA) were still trapped under the Burntrap level, so we actually have 2 Mimics: the digital copy of the Mimic program (aka Glitchtrap), who's either impersonating Afton or have remnant/agony of Afton attached to it, and the original Mimic endo with the original IA in it.
On the topic of the burntrap ending Gregory could know what they both looked like because he had to have gone down there at somepoint considering his backpack is down there.
So, do you think that Burntrap is the mimic?

But Scott don't want spoiler to fans glitchtrap identity
I would like to point out a few details.
At this time Cassidy is trapped in their own purgatory, while glitchy purple rabbits hunt them, this suggests that the digital world Cassidy has made to torture afton has been uno reverse carded
The flesh on burn trap, upon close inspection, appears to be growing onto the suit, one example of this is the rabbit ears if you look at his flesh it seems to be growing into the ears. look closely and you will find that even the "suit" is made from flesh, closely resembling 4th degree burns (it's real, look it up)
As for the Endo, it some parts might belong to a twisted animatronic, though the books don't occur in game it's possible afton has made blueprints for animatronics that just went around murdering people, then decided that was a poor idea, also some parts come from the mimic as there are pieces that look like the can extend and retract, as well as a few spring lock parts as well.
There’s a lot more of it that doesn’t match Burntrap than does match it, after all
The arm is specifically shown to be from the initial mimic endo, rather than a replacement.

Not really sure, though.
That's a valid question, and I do go into it! Also, first!
The problem with this is that Blob is in that same drawing, which we see in Ruin
yeah
@@RyeToasttechnically second, you were first ofc.
But Freddy losing his head doesn’t happen in the burn trap ending
@REALPEDROGAMEPLAYS That's because it was probably a retcon of sorts, so in the RUIN continuity, Freddy only has a head in the the Burntrap ending.

The concept of Agony is such a simple concept to grasp when you look at it the same way we look at stories like Annabelle. It's a haunted doll, because (at least in the movie story) a woman was murdered near the doll. Her pain and agony went into the doll and now its evil. It's such a refreshing take from just "oh it was a ghost and now ghost in doll"
I do love simple possession, like the Fnaf 1 animatronics being possessed because the dead bodies were in the suits and fused with the metal, but now the idea has spread to even more, and to me that's super unique!
I have a really important question for you- I’m working on a FNAF analog horror series with practical costumes and uh.. I’ve been kinda struggling on this idea
Is it better to go for the simple
Possession route or the agony route? Been unsure what was better
@@skelebonez1349 Honestly it could go either way. Because the idea of Agony being what's in ALL of the "possessed" animatronics (ie. not the toy ones from Fnaf 2) still makes sense for the story. In the games, we never saw the bodies in the suits, it was just assumed from the hints in Fnaf 1, so claiming it's just Agony from the children murdered in the pizzeria doesn't change anything.

Several options, actually:
- Burntrap just left, like the Blob is doing
- Blob'd.

I would even dare to say that the mere existance of Blob is a confirmation that Burntrap exists
I believe that Blob/tangle did indeed capture Burntrap, I see it this way:
After Vanny got freed from Glitchtrap's control William/his remnants decided that it's time to escape as it lost control and while trying to escape blob got them and then caused the earthquake ruining the pizzaplex. Soon after Vanessa and Greg went back to the pizzaplex to find burntrap but instead found the mimic and trapped it.
@@ikowski2947 Honestly, yeah i'd say Blob is the likely location of Burntrap.

Thank you
Thank you for saying this. I am so tired of all those people screaming mimic is obviously burntrap. For me it never makes that much sense- for example if the theory about Blob taking Burntraps agony would be true - then where would the corpse go ? How would he repair himself if there are no endo parts ?
Anyway
I am glad and really thankful for this video.
On the subject of Gregory and the Blob:
Gregory's backpack is in the basement.
Could explain the earthquake.

Like the meme says _"how many times do we have to teach you a lesson old man?"_
Actually, they had the mimic arc planned from before SB
Tales from the Pizzaplex was planned since 2019, it was very clear that Burntrap was always meant to be the Mimic but because Steel Wool wasn't told by Scott what he wanted to happen, they thought it was their job to connect the pieces and make Burntrap an enemy in game when you were just supposed to see him inactive through a crack in the wall(sort of as a prop to theorize before the reveal in a later game as he hunts you).
@@traehignight Exactly.
Burntrap is just Afton's soulless remains pulled out of the Blob and infected with Glitchtrap
(Maybe some Afton tech or something haha)
The Mimic does not have any of these. (Besides the one hand, but even that hand looks different up and close)
I think the eyes are ment to be the same eyes as the ones from Scraptrap since he also had black/silver eyes.

@@ghfg4402He still was in UCN and Stitchwraith Stingers, but yeah. William got his ending.
@@traehignightI had a question? Do the stichwraith stories take place before or after ucn as I believe after the stichwraith stories cassidy got a hold of him and then ucn happened
@@memeguy2488 Most take place after Ultimate Custom Night because one of the first stories “The Man in Room 1280” is about William’s body in a hospital as he’s trapped in the purgatory nightmares that we see in Custom Night. William’s head completely explodes and his soul is gone after the end of Stitchwraith Stingers so Cassidy couldn’t have gotten a hold of him(plus, as much as I hate Andrew TOYSNHK, I will say that no matter how we look at it, Andrew from Stitchwraith Stingers is either the real TOYSNHK or a parallel and in either case it would still mean that the epilogues take place largely after UCN.
@@traehignight well from my memory of the story William was kept alive until he was sent to the fazbear distribution center and exploded and his soul hid in the stitchwraith and then became the Afton amalgamation and then died. What happened to him afterwards? Plus is Cassidy really a canon character besides the silver eyes trilogy as the one you should not have killed is implied to be a he not a she if I remember correctly
Personally, lean towards "Mimic1 which is *trying* to mimic William"
@@higueraft571 did you know that this was never true?
@@MISSWHAT-lp5om Proof?
@@higueraft571 never was stated in the books
@@MISSWHAT-lp5om And Glitchtrap doesnt exist in the books, only an AI inside the system, with a White Tiger persona, named Mimic1 :V
While in the games, Tier Rock doesnt exist, yet we have an AI that's mimicking William exclusively.
Agony IS Remnant/part of a Soul, so yes William is still controlling himself :V
>However, the reason it shares mannerisms with the Mimic is that it's infected with Mimic01/Glitchtrap.
Will admit, i DO believe Glitchtrap was put in there, also that it pried the Enragement Child off of William. And that William escaped UCN as a result. Possibly even striking a deal to work together...
My idea was that since no one was there to let burntrap out he overcharged and just burned up into ashes that's why the container is just black smoke
Also I just assumed that vanny pulled a lever or pressed a button from afar to let him out
>and just burned up into ashes
So what happened to his Endo?
>Also I just assumed that vanny pulled a lever or pressed a button from afar to let him out
This assumes that you NEED someone to open it, rather than being opened from inside, like with the other glamrocks/charging stations.
Did we all forget the one group of animatronics thstt to can actually voice mimic and also fix themselves?
The Funtime animatronics that William Afton build.
I love how he gives solid evidence that the mimic and burntrap are not the same
Another thing that disproves the mimic being bruntrap is, why tf would the mimic put on Williams skull, flesh, and suit? It was programmed to rip off limbs, that’s it.
I think it was a reaction to SteelWool seeing the community revolt against more burntrap/afton
I don't know, you can see the seeds for the mimic before security breach ever even came out
My theory is that burn trap is still in there
So I just noticed that the mimic in security breach has to almost identical arms and hands they are almost the exact same except for the fingers and really the only Mitch Match thing at least heavily appears to be the legs and the mimic was legless at a point in time and since those staff repaired the destroyed mimic would make sense that they would give the legless endo some legs
Also if anybody finds this comment and want us to make a video on this please please credit me
YOU HAD A DISCORD THIS WHOLE TIME AND I NEVER CHECKED BRO 😭😭
i been missing out 😔
It's been in the description, but I just kept forgetting to put it in the pinned comment. It's 18 plus though! Only because I'm 25 lol
@@RyeToast makes sense
100% agree. Especially in the books. It's so chilling to see this monster to us see itself as perfectly rational
I do believe that Burntrap/William and The Mimic are separate entities.
But I'm sure future games will connect both of 'em.
I mean the mimic would be a good host for afton
So I think afton might return to use the mimic as a host after escaping ucn or something like that idk
@Sonny-xd7xw I can imagine somethin' like that, yes...
It's so like 'im, that allows 'im to return.
Real talk how is there ANY meat left in that spring Bonnie suit? At all. It's a fun way to draw William but it's just so illogical
Imo comeparing parts of designs is not a very good argument.
@@ikowski2947 but when discussing if whether or not they're the same character; it's arguably valid.
@@sunsetlover123-y7c Do have to disagree here though:
Vanny definitely did some repairs to Burntrap from Local parts.
If Steelwool wanted to really say "Burntrap is the Mimic" they could have added a discarded Burntrap mask or a piece of burntrap's suit fall off of the mimic to say "they are meant to be the same"
Exactly!
Indeed
Idk people literally believe that the mic is burntrap despite that issue
Even fucking villains wiki though that too which is just stupid
Booo! Betterhelp bad!
About your agony part of the video, we have another proof about William's agony being powerful enough to posses Mimic:
In TFTPP story "Pressure" we witness how Luca gets posessed himself after wearing real og Springtrap's suit in Role Play area and eventually attacking a person. So yeah, that suit is very dangerous and powerful
Dont use better help get an actual therapist
Don’t age use a gun
@@Banana-on-banana It's not like it was hidden info back then but defending it now is crazy.
I think all the ending are in some way canon, maybe the intent was for the original game to take place over five nights but he kept getting kidnapped or would go back to charge Freddy. Maybe he does the burntrap ending and then saves Vanessa
I accidently deleted my last comment and it had been hearted 😭😭
I believe Burntrap and Mimic are two separate characters at this point. We know steel wool changed their story due to fan backlash over afton's return. Another weird thing beyond the magical walkie talkie that can apparently communicate through several layers of earth/buildings, how does he mimic still have power? There's no charging station in its room. Burntrap at least HAD a charging station, yet mimic doesn't even though we know it's been sealed for quite a while. Seriously this story has gone from paranormal, to sci-fi, to fantastical in the span of just a game.
>how does he mimic still have power?
Same question for stuff like FNAF 3 and 6, keep in mind :V
Bro I know for a fact that the Burntrap ending was going to be the cannon ending.
But when it got backlash they backpedaled and changed it for ruin.
Totally possible, but the blobs existence in ruin I think contests that
If Burntrap is just a figment of Gregory's imagination then so is The Blob who does appear in Ruin. And I find it weird how Gregory could even imagine something so specific as a skeleton of a man attached to an old animatronic.
I love that you're just talking about a robot ripping people apart while thoroughly petting a cat 😂
Love your videos
Thank you!
Bro I'm going to need therapy after how long that baked in ad was 😂
I can't believe I got here under a minute
Neither can I
I can imagine Vanessa giving the mimic sewing lessons to help build the costume. It's also funny to imagine that it just learned on its own. We need answers.
He can't be Afton because Burntrap has a left arm but Scraptrap doesn't
and afton is dead.
