He is multi-genre talented and does mostly things he has written like, "Cold"; "White Horse" live at CMA's; "I Was Wrong" live at Austin City. It's quite the rabbit hole to fall down! At the end of the song the chord progression steps down from the six chord (Bb) to the five chord (A maj) and the mind is waiting for the progression to resolve back to the root (d). But it doesn't. The song's question "Why you got to be so cold"? isn't resolved. There's no release of the tension and so the he doesn't allow a comforting conclusion to the music either. It's left hanging...Unresolved.
