My dearest Palace fam! Today’s vlog is about practicing self love, learning to be bold and not playing by the rules. I woke up and felt like cutting my own hair so I did. Then I did little cartwheels on a sidewalk in paris because it was sunny out and it was FUN. It felt really liberating and I wanted to share that feeling. Everything is fleeting so why not follow our impulses, laugh, try something new? Why not move to another country? why not learn another language or take ourselves on Artist dates? ‘The new me’ wasn’t really about a new style or relooking, but rather the sensation of being in control of our own existence, future, body. Also, this vlog is not in chronological order. LIke I said, there is no beginning, middle or end. It’s all about flow and moments that end up sticking together like hot wax anyway, as time goes on-so why seperate them by numbers and days of the week? But here were some highlights: there was the chinese new year celebration, I made some fun stuff in art school, went on a scenic boat tour, but most of all: there was growth. That’s all we can ask for isn’t it? To keep challenging ourselves. It was nice being able to chat in the end and give you updates about school, travels, etc. Please let me know if the little propostiion I made at the end would interest you about profiling creatives in Paris :) Also I’ve done French/english subtitles but I am trying more and more to speak in French but I just forget. 'It's never too late to start over' can feel like a non-concrete/redundant saying at times but the way you fit it into the context of becoming a clean slate and imagining feeling free, coupled with the beautiful clips, turned the message into something refreshing. Now, as i'm in my late twenties, I feel this False belief, given to us by society, that as you grow old, the whimsical nature of your spirit starts to wilt, starts to die.. You keep my whimsy alive. You literally feed little parts of my soul, that have been crying out for self loving creative flow food. I'm going to take myself out, it's happening! I won't care whose watching. I'm at a point in my life where I know that it's time for me to change. I was always a girl who dressed casual, I was always the really quiet one and I barely go out and meet some friends.
But this year I took a break from everything. Because of this break I learned so much new things. About the world, about me,...etc.
I'm still living my old life because I'm too scared to begin my new one.
Yesterday I found you're channel and you're videos already helped me so much at getting less scared. Today I was wearing a outfit with a lot of red in it because I was inspired by your "what students in Paris really wear", "Paris street fashion" and "thrifting" videos. And, although I normally wear colors like white, black, grey, I felt extremely brave. I didn't thought stuff like "oh, what do the people think of me?", "Am I looking good in this, or am I being ugly?"...,like I'm normally thinking. I felt extremely good in my outfit and I didn't care what others thought of it.
I just wanted to say thank you. All you're videos about the fashion in Paris and this video here made me braver and I'm looking forward to begin my new life and creating me new me.

Thank you for this! The bit where you were laying underneath that impossibly thin sheet of plastic was so dreamy. It reminded me of a Kate Bush music video. Im totally going to take myself out on a date tomorrow! @@tiddletids Of course! You will love Edinburgh, I'm sure of it. The people here are so friendly. There is an absolute treasure trove of amazing places, far too many to list, but the highlights for me that I always go back to are the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, The Water of Leith Walk, Stockbridge (for amazing thrifting/secondhand shops), Patisserie Florentin (they serve my fav lemon tart in existence), and the Ensign Ewart (great wee pub with traditional folk music nights featuring an amazing harpist). Honestly this list barely scratches the surface! Enjoy yourself this autumn and good luck with your studies :)

I just got over a depressive episode and decided to cut out all the negative people from my life. I realized I can go out by myself and do stuff without having to depend on other people. The world is my oyster and nothing can stop me from accomplishing my dreams! I'm so happy I can see it again

The Stuck on A Puzzle piano cover was beautiful as well. I totally thought I was going crazy, but I started to sing the lyrics and that was for sure it! I love this vlog and self-love is very important. Little things do matter. They do add up to an entire human being.

I take myself on little self dates all the time! I love taking myself out to dinner. And now that I’m 21 I can get wine too. I do it all the time to treat myself for working hard. I also go thrifting alone a lot which is sooo fun.

Yesterday i did a simple thing for myself that i have been wanting to do forever. I went to the beach by myself in the morning, before going to school. I took my time, studied that way birds interact with nature, the way water creates intricate patterns when it flows. It was the greatest i had felt for a long time, i felt so free, happy and at peace! Thank you for these suggestions for selfcare dates, you are great! :0)))
I also wanted to add that i am planning on going a date with myself this weekend where i take selfportraits in silly costumes. I already bought a cowboyhat from the thriftstore and i am so excited about planning different pictures! :0))
