I love the concept of having your own vision designed, but I really feel like these come out to be so simple and plain that they’d be easy to find on a rack somewhere- and for a whole lot less money too.

Book Bag I disagree as this is custom made from scratch to fit her figure perfectly, she has a large bust but is very slim as well so being able to have several fittings to get the fit just right matters. Whereas at Kleinfeld you don’t get that opportunity, just one fitting. So it’s worth the extra money rather than trying to have a standard dress taken in or made bigger!
@@bellabana Disagree that it is not worth the extra $5500 just for extra fittings and at Kleinfeld they have multiple women with breast implants and unnatural shaped body that they've shown but they always make it work. I doubt just because you have big breast and a small frame, they will not find you a dress that fits in that fitting.
@@bookbag6432 - You are not taking into account the fabric, lace, satin covered buttons, skirt material and the time to make a pattern, cut the pattern out, sew it together and the lace has to be cut "Just Right" or you ruin the pattern of the lace and it looks awful when applied to the dress, dealing with lace takes time and skill. Bridal materials are NOT cheap and the Designer gets paid for their LABOR...
For that price it doesn’t even look like the bodice and the skirt go together properly

Her budget is good for kleinfeld or bridals by lori and yet she goes to a salon who's designer's gowns are just too overpriced.
Dresses always look so amateur and unfinished.

@@hellolamby part of why that happened is because the one button on the transition between the lace upper skirt and the tulle lower skirt has been reinforced for her bustle system. The thread for that is heavier and looks more like button twist and can cause a covered button with a shank under to pull to one or the other side...
I personally hat this dress it is just a basic lace dress with no qualities that are remotely "special" or interesting. With a bride that has such an amazing figure; she should have and could have done much much much better. Sorry bank account.

I would guess the designer literally just designs and sketches it out, passes off the actual work to underpaid seamstresses, and pockets all the extra cash
Her sketches are always better than actual dress and I like how quickly she sketches.
The dress was beautiful and she looked stunning in it. I absolutely love the tribute to her auntie with the lace. But I don’t know if this is worth $8k!! I think she could find something similar for half the price in a bridal boutique!!

@Brigitta Freya Yeah you got it... I have to agree.. For the price she paid $7500, custom or not, for that price it could have been spectacular instead of something that looked unfinished and bits and pieces sewn together, almost liked it come from a pre loved store.
TBH this womans designs and dresses are horrible.
and i thought dresses at Kleinfeld were expensive. This is way expensive for that dress.
Her mom, the whole time, was so excited and supportive.
I think this is the first dress by this designer that I’ve actually liked. It looks finished and well done and it definitely does exactly what the client wanted. It’s beautiful.
The top fits nice and the neckline suits her.
But the bottom should of been a lil tul not as much layers but tul or something softer. The silk makes the top and bottom different piece. It stands out not in a good way.
The dress is a soft look from top than heavy at the bottom with the silk.
The bride didn't want tulle on the bottom. She said that after she tried on the first sample dress. The designer has to make what the bride wants, that's the problem with this show. The brides know nothing about design, but think they can design a better dress than someone who does this for a living.
i really don't like the dresses' finishing details ... and 7500 is so much for a dress looks like a 1000 or less.. the designer really needs to change her tailor staff

It really is beautiful. When they were talking about "sexy", "as low a sweetheart neckline as I can get" I got nervous, but this is a very classy dress, with a wonderful transition to the flare at the bottom. The buttons do not appear completely aligned, but I think that issue is a very small one considering the overall look and fit of this dress. I love the reason the bride chose the lace, too, that adds a personal touch to the gown. I pray for many decades of joy for her and her adorable-looking groom.

The buttons are crooked and the top looks wrong, maybe over structured? I think theres a corset inside you can kinda see a V shape at her hip bones at 5:59 and I don't think it fits her bust right it should hold the "girls" up and tight not swallow them up, she does a little shake at 6:16 and the dress doesn't move with her. May just need a few alterations for that but still.

I think the ladies come to this designer because they have a clear idea of what they want and just want someone to create their vision to life. When the designer is asking about budget, she wants to understand what kind of style and materials to suggest based on costs. But I doubt she charged the bride that kind of money.

She has big bust compared to her body. Just look how much her bust is standing out compared to her flat abs. Comparing her bust with those of busty women will get you confused.

I look at the collection dresses she has the brides try for ideas and I truly like them. I wonder if the fact that she is rushing for a TV show makes the custom dresses look not as refined and finished.

All the episodes I’ve seen and not one dress has been impressive at all. You can a better dress on Amazon for $100

This designer is not only mediocre in terms of her skills...her personality is not as likeable as say gok wan, who is warm and fun and approachable and seems like he truly cares. So why hire her if she doesnt tick any boxes?! They must have been desperate
The bride has no sense of style, admits she wears sweats and a t-shirt when ever she's at home, but is then willing to drop $8,000 on ONE dress, that will be worn on ONE day. Does this sound ridiculous to anyone else? You could buy an entire, stylish, wardrobe, that would last several years, for $8000. Then spend just $1000 on a wedding dress, because the end product here looked like a $1000 dress, not one worth $7500.

Also it is really hard to find factory that are willing to produce only one of every design! It takes so much time to produce the pattern of dress and the pattern probably won’t never be used again!
So instead of selling the design of dresses , the price is that high because you can customise everything!
Custom made doesn't always equal quality. Most of the dresses are either poorly made or don't fit right.

even though it doesn't fit the costumer's body type , and if the costumer insisted , they will make it anyway because that's what the costumer ask for

The bride to be is so beautiful, perfect body shape for wedding dresses but what she tried did not do her much justice! Cuz she has perfect arms, shoulders and waist, she should and could wear strapless top dress!
I like the buttons down the back of the dress. I'm not a fan of the eyelash trim around the sweetheart neckline though. It looks like the fabric is frayed. However, from a distance she looks lovely.

I think the price also includes de idea of having a custome bridal experience, its not just the dress. It is also the experience and the idea of having a dress made exclusively for you.
Besides, she also hade opportunity to chose the lace she wanted.
Sorry, but at Kleinfield you don't get a customed dress or even a personalized experience. 🙄
