I'm not someone with a background in sewing wedding dresses, but I don't see the problem with it. The waist hits a little low, but it really is quite pretty, and the bride loved it.

I know! but on the other hand these are custom made dresses, she makes exactly what she is asked for and although I personally don't like them I think every single time the bride walks out of there with the dress they pictured in their minds and their happiness is so nice to watch 😊

I love the dress, but don't understand how that bolero was cut too small - especially when you have the bride's measurements, AND the actual dress (so you should know how to make it fit). That button gap at the back was unforgiveable too, especially in view of the "custom" make and the cost.

watching those rolls of lace walked in ( rather mire carelessly than they would have been IF ) was a poignant reminder of between 7 & 12 going with my Bespoke Tailor.Father to see new rolls of various materials in the factories & warehouse in London as well as those with women's coats , suits even dresses as times together that showed me a world few have an.opportunity to have ...my appreciation of texture , quality & design remain ..let alone fit & suitability as I watched him. Work from.cutting out to final fittings & still own a light weight dark-haired green costume he made me when 14 & can wear it
Look. It's a pretty dress and it works. It's not my thing but it's pretty on her and as long as shes happy that's all that matters. Not the most incredible or jaw dropping or inventive but some brides dont want that. I actually think the bolero added a lot to the dress

Right? Kleinfeld has a huge selection of beautiful, well-constructed dresses that are reasonably priced. This dress is almost $8000 but it looks like it should be priced at $500.
I've even seen custom wedding dress designers on Etsy that are less than a quarter of her costs. If you're ordering it from afar, you email them as many pictures as possible of the dress you want along with pictures or descriptions of the changes. They reply with a sketch to confirm, or give you opportunity to either clarify a change, or change your mind, etc. Once all the changes have been confirmed with sketches, they get to work making the dress with very detailed measurements of your body. (They always have detailed instructions, videos, or recommend going to a dressmaker to take your measurements...) I LOVE the pictures of the brides on their wedding day wearing the dressmaker's creation!
Have you ever seen the Feya (NewLook) wedding gowns. European company but sells in USA. It’s on TH-cam. The back of many gowns have appliqué lace running up the back and are so feminine.
Heidi's problem area seems to always be the part where the top meets the bottom, she hasn't mastered the smooth flow yet. Her designs are still fine though.

This isn't for me personally. It is a bit strange that a custom measurement would have that big of a size difference. I get it, if it fits but doesn't sit right....but it was like a good inch before it could even clasp
Ok so u wanted a custom made, one and only wedding dress and ends up everyone has the same off the shoulder cover up. So if this top is so popular, maybe the designer should at least use different materials or add on some applicates so that each dress is a little different? I have at least seen five brides choosing the same cover up already
The dress design is beautiful. however the execution, ummmmmmmm, also have to agree with everyone saying the dropped waist is too far. If it was just a couple inches higher it would be much more flattering.
I kinda wish the bolero covered the whole bodice or just wasn't there cause the line of the bodice and then the dropped waist make her body very choppy and straight up and down Beautiful bride, she's so so sweet and I hope she had the day of her dreams but in terms of design I am just not sure it's the bets design for her body type
I think the top lace part looks like football player gear. It would be nice if the lace covered the whole top half all the way to the waist. The vision on paper looked nice but the dress didn’t come out very good. It looks cheap and old fashioned.

I'm 67 & I've been sewing since I was 13. The bolero mistake was unfortunate, but mistakes are learning opportunities. Good sewists know this.

Dresses are always so poorly made, the finishing is never on point, and looks very home sewn for a Couture made to measure piece.
Just looks like she bought a basic $500 dress and threw some lace on it.
