    Hi Dr Manocha.. I’m suffering the exact same horrible life altering pain after a car accident 4yrs ago. I had to give up nursing at 34yo. I have been to that many Drs over the years and been given so many different diagnosis’s. What kind of Dr do I see to get this investigated?

    Any oral medications work for these like gabapentin, lyrica etc? How about spinal cord stimulator or peripheral nerve stimulator?
    Can entrapment cause burning pain too or only the c5 radic? And can both c5 radic and entrapment elsewhere like scalene coexist?

    • @DrAmodManocha
      @DrAmodManocha  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oral neuropathic medicines can be considered.
      Before considering any invasive options the diagnosis needs to be confirmed by a simple block
      Burning pain van be present
      2 problems can always coexist

    Dr Manocha,
    How do I get in contact with you as this video explains almost exactly my long, chronic symptoms of 24 years.
    Very long story but I’d really like to get private advice?

    Doctor what’s the best way to pickup nerve problems I saw you mention to someone mri isn’t the best

      No one specific test - a combination of things is used. Also depends on which number we are talking about

    Thanks for the video. Very useful presentation. If sn MRI of the brachial plexus shows no damage then does that mean the dorsal scapula nerve mean its ok as well?

    • @DrAmodManocha
      @DrAmodManocha  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not necessarily as MRI is not very sensitive in picking up subtle nerve problems

    By having an interscalene botoc injections does that mean the dorsal scapula nerve gets freed up as well?

    • @DrAmodManocha
      @DrAmodManocha  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the problem is caused due to scalene muscle spasm then botox injection into the muscle may help otherwise not

    Hi Doctor. Thank you for this video. I have been experiencing the exact pain you describe for about 11 years now. I am 30 years old now. I want to get this issue figured out before I become a mother because the pain takes over my whole life. I had an EMG done and found that I had thoracic outlet syndrome and had the surgery for it back in 2018 with no pain relief. My same surgeon (along with every other doctor) has left me at a dead end with no other answers. One day recently I googled “nerves in scapula” and found the dorsal scapular nerve and did some research and the symptoms are exact! I went to a neurologist (specializes in spine alignment) yesterday in Buffalo Ny and I mentioned DSN to him and I had to talk my way out of him just sending me to pain management. He referred me to another doctor in the practice, I see him on Monday. The doctor I’m seeing next week is an Osteopathic physician.

      I am happy that my video has been helpful for you although the videos in this section were intended for medical professionals - mainly to raise awareness about lesser known pain conditions.
      All the best for your treatment. Incase things are not improving then consider visiting a local pain specialist.
