I wouldn't have married my husband if we'd had these issues. Instead, we fell in love and mostly stayed in love for 45 years. I made my own wedding dress. It was just a given that I'd do that because we had very little money. I was barely 18, and he was 19. He passed 7 years ago. Damn!

The second dude (horrible groom guy) is probably be a jerk but I agree with him in the fact that weddings don’t have to cost a fortune. My wedding dress was made for me, my parents did the flowers, I had a friend do the wedding pictures, etc. Including the rings, it cost less than $2000 and we have been married 27 years.

The girl from the second couple looks unhappy even though they're holding hands. And it's only going to get worse. It wouldn't surprise me if she was going to have a baby and he told her have it at home cuz it's free don't go to the hospital. He's going to control and dominate her all her life unless they get counseling. He is very selfish with his suggestions for the wedding and not regarding any of her choices. Yes maybe the mother can make her address but does he think that material is free. Yes the family might be able to do the food but does he think the food is going to be free. I've been to weddings where families have done the food and even helped and the people that do that don't even get to enjoy the wedding. I understand he doesn't want to get into debt but he could give her a little bit on some of that
Not only can she stop saying “yes”, she can stop them from even proposing. I’m in my fourties and have had lots of loving boyfriends. None have ever proposed. Because from our first date I’d say “I never want to be married”. Like magic they don’t propose. Period. Problem solved.

I have several wonderful men in my life. And have been with over 25 years. We play. We have fun. I pay my way. And still enjoying the physical aspects of life.
