  • In 2016, Michael began telling people he was a combat veteran, a former Sergeant/helicopter pilot in the Marines, and that his “bomb-sniffing marine dog” had recently died after being hit by a car. He admits he also told people his wife died of cancer. Then, Katie says she's at the end of her rope with her husband, John’s, lies and if he doesn't start telling the truth, she'll leave him. She says John has lied about everything from pretending to have a job to having cancer and that they've even lost their house because of the deceit. Katie admits that she knew John was a liar during the 10 years that they dated -- so why did she marry him and have a baby with him? Next, Melisa claims her estranged husband, Chris, is a pathological liar who lies about anything and everything. Chris admits he has a problem with telling the truth and insists he wants to change -- but does he really? Finally, Janene says her daughter Taylor is a “pathological liar” who has faked 10 previous pregnancies. However, a sonogram convinced her that Taylor was finally telling the truth about her latest “pregnancy.” After nine months of allegedly being pregnant, Taylor told the family she miscarried - Was she ever really pregnant as she claims?

My mother died in 2004. I was 51. I discovered certain things after she died that I’d believed my whole life.
I did not have twin brothers who died in a car accident. They never existed!
I did not push my baby brother in his pram off a verandah which resulted in his death. She abandoned him with relatives in another state and he died at 2 years of age falling off a horse.
She was my mother and not my aunt as she claimed for the first 30 years of my life.
I believed every beating I received as a child, I deserved.
Liars destroy lives. Destroy self respect.

      @andriab8517 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@deannalumia1707 That is not what was happening. Did Dr. Phil get loud? Yes, but he was not bullying her.
Think about it. This woman dealt with 10yr of being lied to in this relationship. She admitted that she knew he was a liar when she chose to marry him anyways. If those 10yr+ were not enough to wake her up, then there needs to be a new approach.
When you're a parent, you no longer have the privilege of only considering your own wants & needs. If you wanna tolerate being lied to, losing your house & struggling, then that's fine. Add a child into the mix & it's no longer about you. Her enabling of her husband's lies lost them the house & what's ruining their marriage.
But it's her lack of initiative in getting her & their child out of a situation like that, that set Dr. Phill off. She has ALLOWED and CONSENTED to raise her child in an environment where housing isn't stable, income isn't stable & the child's needs are not being met. She consented to this life through the complacency she's developed over the years, towards her husband's lying.
Personally, I think Dr. Phil was in the right. He knows he can't fix a pathological liar in one episode. But what he can do is open the eyes of a mother who needs to act on behalf of her child's well-being

@@deannalumia1707 She needed to hear what he had to say, one might feel stupid and feel sad to be told those things, but it was a short, very well put conclusion of what she’s doing in that relationship with the liar boyfriend, he made it all so easy to see clearly for her I think, it hurt, but it will help (if she wants change for the better ) Phil could’ve skipped some of the yelling though, I agree, because she seemed like a person who didn’t need the yelling and harsh tone, the raw truth in itself was good enough, she was a listener, so yes it wasn’t necessary to yell like that. I would have chosen, if I was in his place, to deliver the message with some empathy, no yelling, no harsh tone, just harsh truth that she needs, it would have been as much of a wake up call, but you also make it clear that you’re there to help and that she’s not at fault in this relationship, she is part of it because she has enabled it to go on, she has made decisions that has been very bad for HER LIFE and it needs to stop, because she doesn’t deserve to be in that bad place (that relationship).

She appeared to have taken an anti-anxiety med, possibly. Her eyes were wobbling (nystagmus), which is often a sign of certain meds that would cause a dissociative appearance. I don’t blame her for taking it, if she did… it would be harrowing to go in public to address such a big issue. Hopefully she will go back, watch the show, and see what Dr. Phil said to her husband and her. Dr. Phil wasn’t talking to her more harshly than he speaks to anyone else, but it is a huge contrast with her flat affect.

There can be a bigger picture when a partner remains with a calculating liar.
Being with the liar might actually feel safer than the spouse's own family for different reasons, and the liar knows this weak spot and utilises it, being kind and loving when the family is causing pain.
I know that's what my position was at the time.
My husband used lies as a controlling mechanism and good liars are real manipulators so it took me years to finally leave him.

I got into a relationship at 56 he was 68, Intelligent, charismatic, good friend to my brother. Took almost 3 years of calling him out/his accusations that I was crazy, jealous, that I had a history of other men misbehaving (I didn’t)…I’m a Libra lol guess it took a while for the scales to tip but when the whole picture came together, I moved on without regret. I think it surprised him because he thought he was calling the shots. 🤷🏻‍♀️😁 Took me a while, sometimes it takes a while. The experience surprisingly was worthwhile overall. I have no regret for that either. Enjoy the process, learn as you go. No abuser is worth it.

This liar sounds just like my daughter and her father! 😂 if her father wasn't already gone I'd swear they were talking about him 😂

show us some examples of parents who have no sort of accountability whatsoever for the negative impact their behavior has had on their children. but you might wanna call it something a little different than that LOL

That first guy, you can look at him and tell how much he is lied throughout his life, and how much trouble it has gotten him into, because from the looks of it that knows has been broken multiple multiple multiple times, more than likely by the people that he has lied and screwed overand they were not ones to mess with.

Taylor reminds me of my SIL and ex best friend. Both unfortunate looking girls who cling onto any guy who gives them a lick of attention and then does anything to make the guy stick around. I adore my nephews but i feel so bad for my brother who is stuck with this selfish and very lazy wife.

Decades ago, my mother went to the bank to withdraw money for whatever (groceries and whatever else, we were not allowed to ask). The teller gave her $200 too much. Mom went back to the bank to the same teller and returned the money. The teller turned green, balanced her drawer, and thanked my mother profusely for returning the $200.
