First mom is a DISGRACE. My mother never remarried or even dated after our father drowned. She always feared something like this would happen, and wanted to protect my sister and me. She sacrificed her life for us. She's now deceased but I love her eternally.

Agreed. Of course the mother knew. The same wall that allowed her to keep defending herself (and even her ex) throughout this interview is the same wall that she put up each night that the ex got out of bed and visited their daughters in their bedroom. The mother was trying so hard to be seen as the victim and to solicit sympathy in writing into the show, but in reality, she was entirely complicit

My mother was a narcissistic. She verbally and physically abused me until I could take no more and I banned her from my life, at 44 years old, in 2004. She would come home every day and beat me and verbally abuse me. After I banned her from my life, and every year, I'd ask her to go to therapy with me, which was free through the company I worked for, and she would not go and she would also deny that she ever did anything wrong. She left us, when I was 10 years old, and she left me and my father, to raise her 4 year old son, that had severe ADHD. She had already kicked my eldest brother out of the house, when he was 15 years old, prior to leaving us, w/her moving to Texas to live w/one of her boyfriends; probably the best thing that ever happened to me. My father was a wonderful Dad and took care of us the best he could; he passed in 2008, and I miss him so much, each and every day.

Oprah consistently interrupting Dr. Phil while masquerading as an 'expert' is not just annoying, it's also very telling as to her real personality...
Oprah was never married, not a mother, not a psychologist, but constantly interrupts and tries to draw attention to Herself, while making snide remarks and very insensitive remarks... Who the real narcissist? IMO, Oprah, and the 1st Mom are pathological!
Sure glad Phil got his own show, and now his own network, and got away from phony Oprah.
Took many years for me to see her true colors, now I wonder how I could have missed it.
