Super cool Trina! I haven't seen you do the marble technique before. Love the random lines it made. It would be a great way to create collage papers too. Yes, this one is a winner. And, there is something so subtle, but fantastic about that single orange horizontal line going through the piece that really finished it off! 😍🤩😍
This is soooo cooool!! Loved what the paint on the stamp did in the wet paint too🎉 Made me think to put the exam table paper in the bottom of a box to do the marbles.
I love the marble technique. I will head to the dollar store for some tomorrow. I was thinking to mask off with just some irregular pieces of tape to avoid the “frame” lines. I just did a weeklong workshop with a portrait artist, David Lobenberg. He does this California Vibe style. He had us do meandering lines with a waterproof marker (micron prisma slant or brush), and accent highlights with chalk markers instead of gouache or pen! Very free style of painting like yours, although obviously different subject matters and different color pallete. Oh and reverse stenciling over darks, using a wet magic eraser to remove color. Super fun.
I love the idea of masking off with pieces of tape. Also, the magic eraser stencil idea. I watched a few of David’s videos and really like his technique. So cool. Thanks for sharing. 😍
What a fantastic seascape! Love the colours, marks & I always smile when I see you use the cardboard scraper 😁 And maybe it’s worth getting one of those bendy rulers so you can create all kinds of random borders so your marbles can run around without ever being square
I like the swiping and love that stamping. Do you recall where you got that stamp? I think i may have one like it that i got from temu. But its hard to tell what your stamp looks like on screen. Do you ever use conte sticks or just plain old soft pastels? This piece was very lovely. 🤍✨ Oh have you ever tried pouring then tilting and then misting /spraying your watercolor and water soluable supplies?
The stamp did come from TEMU. I almost never use soft pastels. I have a basic set, however, the colors are too bright for my taste. I have spritz and tilted my watercolors but I need more practice. Thanks for watching! 😍
