great discussion guys , Obiwan is my fav character and absolutely they have to do more Obiwan ,Ewan is in the perfect age to keep playing the character, I liked Kenobi S1 , they can bring Hayden back as Anakin like they did in Ashoka, I agree with Rocha, more focus on Obiwan , R.I.P. James E Jones
As far as the overall canon of the Star Wars Universe is concerned, the Story Group was setup under Pablo Hidalgo to carry out that sort of function I think shortly after Disney bought Lucasfilm. That was when it was said that the books, films and games all formed part of the same canon. Pablo recently revealed in a tweet that the Story Group was disband a while ago, without giving any real timeframe for when it happened but making sure the wound wasn't refresh. LFL certainly kept that quiet. My guess it would have happened around the time when Dave Filoni took on the role of chief creative officer/goalkeeper, before the official announcement was made
A season 2 of Kenobi should be him being included in The Path that was mentioned in season 1. They should have him align with Vos, Ventress, and other Jedi in kind of in the same vein as A Person of Interest TV show.
I agree with Kevin that it sounds likely that Jude Law is a isolated Jedi in hiding. 1974 is when the last Japanese WWII soldier surrendered. They had to go find his old commander to get him to come out and surrender. During the late 40's and 50's, there were similar instances of island soldiers continuing the war.
People need to keep in mind that Acolyte was written and developed before Filoni was appointed his new position at LFL. He had no creative control over the story, so it’s a bit silly to say he needs to be held partly responsible for how poorly that show turned out.
No...what's silly is ignoring what one of the writers of the series said which is that Filoni had approval and gave notes on all the scripts. Did you think Filoni's advice was NOT asked for in the development of any of the Star Wars shows or movies over the last few years? Are you insane??
@@JohnRochaSays Filoni himself has said that while he would give advice to those who asked for it, he wasn't there (initially) to override people's scripts, or to change their vision of their shows. Again, Acolyte was written well before Filoni was promoted in 2021. To me, it just sounds like you're taking a hearsay rumor from one of the series' multiple writers and running with it. You don't think those people would be capable of trying to pass the buck by trying to throw Filoni under the bus? Dave's name doesn't even appear anywhere in the end credits, so not sure how you can be so confident that he heavily altered the plot and/or script mid-production.
Re: J-E J's passing and the quality of Vader's voice contributing to the audience experience of the character, etc. There's footage around recorded before Jone's voice overs where one can hear Prowse doing all the lines. It's pretty underwhelming.
Laura- what’s to love about Filoni overseeing a project, when we know he approved the Acolyte? it was so bad it got cancelled . I have no faith in Filoni after overseeing, and approving that show
With respect, I think it's a mistake too completely lose faith in a guy who has pretty consistently made good Star Wars since he's been put in charge of projects. All the animated Star Wars that has come has had his name on it not to mention the mandalorian and ahsoka series. You're not always going to hit a home run. There was a lot of bad writing in the acolyte and their construction of the story was poorly done. You can't put that all on Dave but you can have him share some responsibility with the other creatives.

Rebuild The Galaxy was a lot of fun. Definitely going to grab the Dark Falcon LEGO set

Rocha, you do not have an Easter Island head... though that was funny... 😆

Another great SW discussion
The new pirate Jedi with The Rifleman vibes?

Vader's armor and life sustaining apparatus?
AMOUR!! THATS THE WORD! Haha - Kevin
@@SmashCityStudios Well, I find you sexy, too, mi amor/amour... 😝
Wwooooo~

Why is Jude Laws character wearing Lando’s cloud city shirt?
They shop at the same mall.
That's a 17th century flintlock pistol.
James Earl Jones was one of the wise men in Jesus Of Nasereth in 1977
Filoni is Jocasta Nu.

Lando is a movie. Not a show.

The Lando series doesn't interest me, I still haven't seen Solo it just hasn't interested me.
