I actually met Hayden and he's the most down to earth, nicest person ever. Also, yes, he is awkward and shy but he is just as nice as he comes off here and really glad he was there for Ewan and I'm so grateful he got this achievement. Thank you, Ewan and Hayden.
If you think about it, that's really how Anakin was meant to be, awkward and shy - a kid that got pulled into a world way bigger than himself and being pushed into a galactic spotlight before he was ready for it. When I think about Anakin in the context of the prequels as a whole, starting with Jake Lloyd's performance, I feel like it's pretty clear that he never really set out to be the top dog in the universe, at least not in a selfish way; he loved his mom and lost her, found a surrogate father in Qui-Gon and lost him, and eventually the premonition of losing Padme was too much for him. Cheesy dialogue aside, there was some really good character-developmental concepts in the prequels -- certainly more than in the sequels imo.

He looked me up & down & went for my hand to shake it & said how nice it was to meet me. It was an incredibly quick moment but one I’ll always remember.

Making a grown mean tear up over here - I was 9 years old when the prequels came out. So 9 year old me seeing a 9 year old Anakin on screen, that resonated with me. Seeing Ep 2 and 3 just a couple years later, as a teenager, when Hayden's Anakin was also a teenager, that resonated with me. I had an instant connection to both characters, and the actors who played them. I love Ewan McGregor's Obi Wan and I love Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker, together these two men hold a special part of my childhood. Seeing them continue to get to work together, seeing how humble they are, how they both clearly care so much, it's truly amazing to witness. This is the heartwarming thing I needed to see today. Thank you all for being genuine human beings.
4:22 I think it is more than the way he embodied Obi-Wan but also how he still kept a good bit of Alec Guinness in his performance. He managed to bring something new as a younger Obi-Wan while retaining what we've seen from the original trilogy.

The prequels were my childhood. I saw Attack of the Clones when I was three and it totally changed my life. Hayden and Ewan were a huge part of that. I love their relationship and this makes me so emotional.

I grew up with the original trilogy, and never felt the hatred that so many threw at the prequels was justified. I’m happy to see that the two of them still have a friendship despite cutting off Hayden’s legs and leaving him to die on the side of a volcano.
The first movie I saw with Ewan was Shallow Grave. That was right before Trainspotting, and it was such a great movie that he left an imprint on me and I was so excited when Trainspotting came out because I really wanted to see more of him. I didn't expect that I would get such a wonderful collection of films from him over the years.
At the time of E2, people really disliked Hayden's portrayal. That has obviously changed over time, and rightfully so. He played the character the way it needed to be played. What came later, especially w/ the Obi Wan series, and Ahsoka, allowed Hayden to show the world what he would have done with the character if he could have stayed with whole arc. Ewan McGregor's mentorship was a big part of that. Ewan stood by the young actor when people were saying horrible things about him on the online platforms of the day. We now rightfully see that they are one of the great duos in cinema history. Get Hayden a Star! If he wants it, I mean... He seems happy to be relatively retired...

And not in the way it is currently being done by mousecorp. Lucas may have lacked in dialogue but if you just look at his 3 movies without any sound, they manage to convey a story and mythology just with the pictures.
The impossible is all you need to watch to understand the level of his acting ability. The scene where he uses the phone to call his wife's parents has to be the most genuine life like reaction I. That situation, he is a class act.

The Obi Wan Kenobi Series was awesome! So are Boba Fett & The Mandalorian! Star Wars Rogue One was great too! However the last Trilogy sucked!
