Those hold a special place in my heart. We didn’t have a “59” , ours was a “57” . We have many happy memories with that car. I would love to be able to track her down and buy her back but the money isn’t there for that. Enjoy that beautiful car, it’s stunning ! Have a great day everyone !
when i was a boy my cousin got a brand new 59 vette and she took me for a ride, i still remember the little round white door knobs. it only had a small motor like a 265 or maybe 283 and was the only time i have ever been in a corvette. it was white with red accents.

I've driven my C5 over a hundred thousand miles so far and I still feel the same way every time I take the top off. Enjoy it !
That is the only model Corvette that I ever liked. It was a true sports car with a classic design. The dual headlights and side scoop looked great. All Chevy had to do was to keep selling that model. They could have always had another souped-up model as they have today.

Congratulations on the purchase of this beautiful car. Together with the 300SL and the DB5, one of the most iconic cars ever built. The older C1 with the single headlights and even the C2 with its mysterious appearance are also in my top ten. I wish you lots of fun and safe kilometers with Eloise!

Well that was a great video on the 1959 Corvette. When I was in Sydney back in 1967 I saw very few of these cars. I wish I could go back to Aussie Land. My wife and I were about go there but due to her family we never made it. Again Thanks for the video.... Mate ;-)
I had one of those, mine had the Rochester factory fuel injection. I was an idiot to sell that car, I've regretted it ever since. I bought it in 1970 as a 19 year old kid. Mine was painted a deep purple.
i had the oppportunnity to buy a red one in 1968 for $1800 ......did have the cash ....bought 57 chev convert.....red silver interior for $400

I had a '60 which is pretty much identical but I dropped a 327 into it instead of a 454. I did other mods too. I had the same mags but mine was in burgundy red. That's a sweet-looking blue on yours.
Don't know how I missed the original video. Thanks TH-cam. In any case. Need to put that next to my factory 1959 Impala Sport Coupe with 348 cu. in (5.7L). Perfect side by side cars. For the time, overpowered sports car against max powered land yacht. Got mine almost 20 years ago with 13,000 miles on it. Have added about 3,800 miles since then. Mine is still sporting it's factory paint and it looks to be the same color as yours. Mine is 100% factory except for oil, filter, tires, rubber hoses, belts and shocks. Have the factory originals that came off the car in a box in the trunk (I think your Vette would fit in the trunk). Still has factory 1959 brake shoes on it. Tell you what Brenton. I'll bet my 2 door 1959 Impala title. My 1966 2 door Impala with blueprinted 1,032 HP blown 502 ci engine against your 59 Corvette, sound like a bet??? 🙂 Mike KC3OSD

i love the car ive worked at chevy dealers for years and ive drove all the new cars got them ready for people to buy worked in the body shops runnin them fix lots of cars from 1950 to 19 95 my fav vette is 53 and 65 = and 2024 = 200 plus mph

1. Sports Cars don't have a back seat.
2. Muscle-cars only have 2-Doors and a back seat, with a performance package.
3. Sports Sedans have 4-Doors and a performance package.

in 1966 my dad bought a 1959 Vette. 270hp, 2x4's. Black on Red interior. In 1970 he painted it your shade of blue. In 1982 I bought the car and painted it in Dupont Black Lacquer, "Jet Black", the best black. And interior was black. Put in a 550hp 350ci. Kept the car until 1999. It your distributor is a Mallory Unilite, lose it. Get an MSD 7 or such. You'll pick up 30hp!

Big blocks for trucks. Last thing a c1 or any corvette needs is a big block. Less horsepower the more fun one can have with a car.
