Fun fact, mad cow disease is the same as Kuru in that it can lie dormant for many years and show no symptoms. That is why if you ever donate blood in the U.S. they ask if you ever had beef/ cow products from the UK during the time period of mad cow disease outbreak. I found this out while donating blood and I asked about a couple of the questions.
It's because it's possible to have aysmptomatic CJD, just like Kuru, and it's very hard to screen for. It's believed this is down to a genetic resistance (not immunity) and that a small percentage of Alzheimer's cases, especially in the UK, are misdiagnosed CJD.
Let's say a zombie was able to eat The Joker's brain, I'd assume that it'd do absolutely nothing to the zombie.

Well, that depends; prions can infect bacteria and fungi. So if the zombie infection was based on one of those it is possible that the prions could edit the proteins in the infection itself.

fun fact the "MAD COW KERFUFFLE" is a reason myself and others will never be allowed to donate blood because of the minuscule chance we have dormant prions.
Blood donation is a hassle either or, For Plasma and Platelet donation AB is the universal Donor while for whole blood and Red Blood cell donation, O- is the Universal Donor. whole blood means blood that hasn't been separated into plasma and red blood cells.
I like the "multiple Jokers" or "Joker Syndrome" idea; where each incarnation of the Joker is actually a different person, with different motivations and methods (and different levels of sanity/insanity); adopting the guise of the "Joker" as a scare tactic - kind of like a real life meme, that just keeps going around. After all, there are many different Robins through the years - and even Batman is replaced by someone else, once Bruce is too old to keep on fighting.

There is a bunch of interesting questions here: can Earth even sustain rings? How far apart each rock would need to be? How it's shadow would affect winter? Would light reflected from the rings make summer brighter? How would life be affected?

The thing with Super Sanity is you need to remember he has broken the 4th wall multiple times, even more he has turned the pages in his own comics. So while he doesn't stand out or does it nearly as much as Deadpool he is in fact a 4th wall breaker of the highest order. There was one story, don't remember which sorry, where he is locked up in a straight jacket going on about how he is talking to people and how they are real, they must be, then he yells at the readers bout if they are in fact real before laughing.
Earlier in that comic he goes on to a psychologist about how he has demanding fans that always want new things. While yours make up a biological reason the super sanity creates a way in comic. Since hearing about your own theory my personal favorite is the combination of the two.
He is aware that he is in media but on top of that his is also simply being mentally broken by pylons. Why not mix together the two best theories into one unified field eh?

An interesting take on supersanity, but possible the other way around, is found in the manga/anime Full Metal Alchemist. The villian Kimbley (I think that was his name) is generally considered to be quite insane (he loves blowing stuff up and doesn't care about if people are killed). However, he did actually become a state alchemist, a position which requires people to undergo psycological evaluation. When Edward asks hom how he got through the test and being evaluated as normally sane, despite being so insane, he says something along the line (don't remember the exact quote): "That kind of pre-programmed test is easy to cheat as long as you understand the width of your own abnormality". I absolutely love that statement!

As for the next episode, really looking forward to it; Chernobyl is always a welcome topic to me. I actually have an old medal from one of the Liquidators that worked to helped afterwards. The topic has long fascinated me, and the more recent growth in interest has been nice to see- has provided more perspectives, info, etc. aside from it being (generally) good to see something 'science' related take a place in pop culture.

Wasnt there a comic series that suggested or showed Joker was also using the Lazarus pit and along with others that had twisted his sanity?? I like that idea.
Using this idea I had a series idea where the villains are the heroes and all the heroes are the villains and its thanks to the Lazarus pit where in this alternate reality the pit has a positive effect rather then a negative one and it suggests the pit isnt working right in the original reality

Hello Kyle, I have a doubt. If Superman flies by blocking out gravity's effect on him, when he does that, wouldn't he be thrown away from Earth due the centripetal force? And what would happen if he jumps first and then deactivates the said effect of gravity on him? Wouldn't the Earth just spin under him very fast? But we don't observe any of these scenarios. So how does Superman avoid them. *How does Superman fly?*

Hey Kyle, as a somewhat recent fan of yours I just wanted to say thanks a lot for all your work. This is a great show you guys run, and I always find myself looking forward to new episodes.
However, (and while this may be more than just a bit forward of me), I do feel the need to inform you that as you have made the choice of referring to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone as just "The Zone" you are now expected to make a reference to the Stalker videogame series or the Roadside Picnic novel by the Strugatski brothers due to similar overall themes and their influence in popularizing the term.
For those confused as to why Joker has an immunity, it's like Eddie Brock with Venom, he's just compatible
Hey Kyle, great Footnotes. Once again, science for my family. In reference to your upcoming Chernobyl Exclusion Zone vid, I did some research into what causes mutations and how we mutate in an effort to identify at which point we can be considered mutated, and discovered that essentially we are ALL mutants and uniquely evolved individually. Natural selection is still occuring, and it's my belief that Chernobyl radiation expedited the proliferation of these genetic mutations and their display of differences to accepted normality. Keep up the awesome work!!

While definitely a cooler phrase, the biggest problem with 'Sphinx of black quartz judge my vow' is that it contains a few words that most kids will be unfamiliar with. Sphinx and Quartz are both quite complicated. 'The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog' on the other hand, small familiar words.

My favorite explanation for the jokers behavior is the one where he "got the joke". "The joke" is a cosmic truth so profoundly disturbing and yet so fundamental that it permanently affectes his ability to think like a normal person ever again and that, although he comprehends it in a way more perfect than anyone normally would understand even the simplest of truths, its so far removed from normal human conceptions that he would never be able to make another person understand it and that its a freak accident that hia brain even happened to have the configuration and hardware making such a realization possible. The accident in this explanation isnt the cause because he was born already having this brain abnormality that made this all possible to understand and the concept to be understood existed before he did but the accident (which did mentally shock/traumatize him) simply acted as the catalyst to bring the two (his brain and the concept) together. Essentially the accident caused this sort of eureka moment. And he was never the same. Eureka moments are generally poppycock but the phenomenon probably does exist. Albeit rare. Kinda like relevant info was in his mind but he wasnt quite in posession of a last couple peices so he didnt have the realization of the concept. Its like the accidwnt was an lsd trip and he saw connections he hadnt seen before. I find this entirely plausible.
Also i think its actually a bit unreasonable to equate joker disease with what the joker suffers. It makes far more sense to say they are different things. They seem very obviously to be different.

Great show Kyle! One concept that comes from the anime-side of the spectrum (I am aware that it is not usual around here), could one turn a foldable overcoat bulletproof by passing an electric current by it? Is there any sort of combination of material x current that would make this feasible? This is one of the major perks in Darker Than Black where the protagonist has the ability to manipulate electrons and use it to turn his coat bulletproof only while using his powers. Alongside some other very bizarre things like modifying the type of chemical inside a tank or quantum shifting stuff to an alternate dimension that no one is able to precise where exactly it went.

For joker, he didn’t have mad clown disease at first, he injected himself with “titan” a modification of “venom”(the drug bane uses) and it turned him into “mega-joker” and later was the thing that killed him, but before he died he sent out bags of blood to hospitals that turned the people in quarantine in the mini batcave in Batman Arkham knight into joker, I think the “titan” was the last piece of the puzzle to giving joker “mad clown disease”. I don’t believe that he had this already.#Bat-Nerd

I'd really like to know what were the chemicals that the Joker fell in. Like what chemicals can cause your skin to turn completely white, turn your hair green, and your lips bright red? Even if the lips are just make-up and his hair is dyed, I know there are chemicals out there that can bleach your skin at least.

Kyle, if you go to the Justice League Animated Version, I think that the "super sane" Joker will fit. The Wild Cards episode showed that you could make the Joker go crazy because that's what Ace did to him at the end of the episode.
