Similar to this, all of us nerds could be looking into the same problem and going over the same research, not just to find a solution, but sometimes just to understand that concept better.

11:12, I actually zoomed in, leaned WAY forward and read that entire comment instead of going back to the last video's comment section. Anyway, it says we don't see helium in Earth's atmosphere, but we do. It's actually one of the top 10 most abundant gases. They point they were making is valid, though. The helium is constantly escaping Earth's gravity and is only measurable because it's being replenished by radioactive decay of unstable elements that produce alpha particles, which are essentially helium nuclei. Once we run out of uranium and other self fissile materials in a few billion years or so, we will indeed have no more helium.

The comment about long term health effects of lower gravity reminded me of another video I watched about making Mars habitable and colonizing it, cant remember where I watched if it was a random click during a TH-cam binge or a subscribed notification from one of the other channels I follow. But that video went with the premise of what would happen to human physiology and biology if we were able to create a long term self sustaining colony there and gave possibilities of what the lower gravity could do which included thing like weaker muscles and heart problems etcetera but the thing that the comment in this video reminded me of is not just asking about what the effects of that lower gravity would be on Mars but also what could happen with the descendants of the colonists there after several generations due are constant evolution and them eventually adapting and becoming an offshoot subspecies of native Earthborn human down the line and the multitude of medical issue they could have after adapting to Martian life and visiting and having to deal with higher gravity and the other health issue they could have visiting Earth after that separating adaptation to a sub species adapted to Mars and the adverse effects it could have on their physiology and them having to deal with the higher gravity. Which is another layer aside from the getting to Mars and making it habitable and colonizing it I found interesting is the whole how the later permanent residence will have to deal with that adaptation visiting earth.

Hey Kyle, love the show! You have been doing a lot of videos about nukes and nuclear energy and what we could do with them but I would like to hear you take on a more important topic; How would we go about making a planet-wide Nuclear Defense System? Is there any current technology that could either disarm the worlds existing arsenal of NucNucs or "catch" them as they entered the upper atmosphere? This seems like just as existential of an issue - if maybe not quite as urgent - as confronting climate change. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks, Tyrannasaur.

Kyle, I feel you still missed the point of reduced gravity. We have done long term studies (the twin study NASA did gave some specific examples). While these studies were in relativistic micro gravity, it is worth noting that a 38% relativistic gravity of Mars should be expected to have these same type effects, although to what extent is what is unknown. These examples included changes in lengths of telomeres, thickening of the walls of the cardiovascular system, and inflammation in various parts of the body, including the eyes. These types of issues cannot be solved by running on a treadmill, or wearing weighted clothing. Our bodies evolved for the pull of earth's gravity. This is going to be an issue for long term colonization of planets, and most definitely for the moon. This will also be an issue for astronauts who are in transit to and from Mars.

Sure flamethrowers are great for dramatic effect, but in terms of combat efficiency, I'd actually prefer to be chased by a madman with a flamethrower (not-a-flamethrower?) than an assault rifle. Flamethrowers have limited range, expend lots of fuel in canisters that weigh significantly more than ammo clips - and human flesh doesn't catch fire easily, nor does my preferred clothing materials such as leather, pvc, etc.

The legality of flamethrowers varies by state, which is why Musk called it "not a flamethrower", which is correct. It's a dressed-up propane torch.

The flamethrowers used in WWII spray a stream of fuel very similar to napalm, so it tends to stick to things a lot more than just oil, gasoline, or diesel fuel would.

I've heard and seen in other videos about the theory that the glowwing blood of yautja (predator for non-geeks) can neutralize a xenomorphs blood just a little bit.In your one video you discussed about the strong acid known to man is called, the hydroflouric acid and fluroantimonic acid. Is there any high base substance that can neutralize this two acids?

Kind of sheds some light as to why “fixing” our planet is so impractical. Mars is much smaller and it’s still too complicated to try to alter its atmosphere. Too many people think we should just “fix” our planet when the complications in doing so are still next to impossible. The planet would change anyway eventually no matter what people do.

weird thought, what would it take to restart the core of Mars so it could start to have its own EM field again? with a molten core rotating , and a growing EM field. It would likely start to develop a atmosphere and be more able to support conventional ideas of atmospheric change. Also it would have side effects of raising the temperature, releasing trapped water and gases

12:27 I think inside Senzu bean is nano-biorobot that specifically be designed for repair damaged cell in your body.
Each of them has micro-anti-matter fuel that energy will be transfer to your body too.
If those is not enough to explain Senzu bean, I think it may be a 4D object to that can change it size when it move in 4thD direction (You can't move in 4thD direction if you are 3D). It will move in 4thD direction that will make it bigger and spread more nano-biorobot to your body that will be enough to heal anyone no matter how big or how much injured you have if we use 4D to explain.

If I had all the power/ time in the world, this is what i would do.
Step one: build a solar shade around venus, and build thousands of sidelights around mars. These sidelights will create a magnetic field around mars; and the solar shade will freeze the atmosphere of venus.
Step two: build an orbital ring around venus and Europa, so we can slingshot the frozen co2 from venus and water from Europa to mars and venus( just the water, or better just the hydrogen).
Step 3: after a while mars will have a thick atmosphere with liquid water, and venus will have a decrease atmosphere with water. This way we can terraform 2 planets at once.
This plan will be extremely hard, but not impossible..

So, we set up the magneto sphere inflatable, then use a massive rail-gun placed in the Kuiper belt to launch asteroids and comets at mars.. This would kick up large amounts of dust and also add various gasses and liquids to mars. It would also make it easier to get many of the useful resources in the asteroids in an environment safer for collection. We could automate the process and have robots gather the newly landed resources and build habitats and stockpiles. It could also be used as a weapon to keep all the colony's and space stations in check, as the threat of Kinetic Bombardment would most likely quell uprisings pretty quick.

Whether or not your spit would boil on Mars would depend on your elevation. Since there is no sea level on Mars the zero point for determining elevation is the point where the atmospheric pressure is at the triple point of water. That is the point at which there is sufficient pressure for water to exist as either a vapor, liquid or solid. So if you're below that point your spit may very well freeze before boiling.

I had a magic weapon thought. You swing or throw a very light weapon which allows you to get high speed easy. Just before impact, a weapon like Milnear Miljeer Melier Thor's hammer increases it's mass. Does the hammer instantly slow down because of momentum conservation, or does it not because no outside force force slowed it down? If it doesn't slow down it just turned its new found mass in to magic free kinetic energy and would help Thor hit very hard.
