- In the heart of Minneapolis, on a winter afternoon in 2003, Mark Folz vanished into thin air. The city's streets whispered tales of a man last seen near an ATM on east Lake Street, with intentions of visiting a friend in Hastings. But destiny had other plans, and Mark never reached his destination turning his disappearance into a cold case mystery.
Behind the wheel of a maroon 1991 Ford Taurus, bearing the license plate DTC-675, Mark's journey took an unforeseen turn. The car, like its owner, remains lost to time. Some say he was last spotted at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Medical Center, while others claim silence on his bank accounts tells a tale of its own. The Willmar, Minnesota police, with every clue leading to a dead end, are still on the hunt.
Born in the summer of '53, Mark, with his graying dark brown hair, blue eyes, and a teardrop tattoo below his right eye, was a sight to remember. Standing tall at 6'1", weighing around 250 pounds, and wearing a gold watch, he carried a secret - a medical condition that required attention. And yet, he ventured out without his medication. But what's even more intriguing? Both of Mark's legs had been amputated from the knees down, replaced by prostheses.

Jared is the best to be doing these searches and recoveries. I have followed him since he was having fun pulling cars out to save the environment. People that haven't watched his lost soul's recovery videos need to go back and watch ALL of them.
Those video stand alone in showing me what type of empathy Jared has with the families. I'll never forget the lady that wanted her husband out of the water after Jared found him. The team were going to wait until the next day to recover because it was getting dark. She broke down and begged Jared to get him out of the water. Jared shut the door to the cameras. He went back and got the family
member out of the water in the dark for her.
Jared is a hero, and nobody will change my mind ever.

And to add onto the temp part, I'm from up on the north shore of Lake superior and out average temp from January to March is -20f 😅 the coldest I've seen in my 28 years is -62 with a 30mph sustained wind making it about -80f with the windchill

Hardy Minnesotan here. Too bad you didn't go on into Hastings to check waters for William Bruce Squire Jr. He was last seen leaving his residence in Hastings, MN on the morning of October 25, 1982, driving a two door 1972 Pontiac Catalina, grey in color.
Jarred built this platform and he was the one that started it and trained others on how to do it. Even though these videos. Thank You Sir for all you do for the Families. It’s horrible when you don’t know what happened to them.

There are so many lakes in Minneapolis off of Lake Street, I wonder why they only searched Powderhorn? They completely skipped the Chain of Lakes, which is what the street is named after. That's Harriet, Calhoun/Bde, Lake of the Isles, and Cedar. Nokomis and Ericcson are both nearby as well, and all seven lakes are within a 3 mile diameter, and 2 miles from the Mississippi. The last Minnesota video they checked a dozen lakes, so it's odd to me why they skipped so many this time?
Thanks for the video all the same, wish I found this channel sooner. Could have paid a visit. Was nice to see you in the neighborhood, and to know the MPD divers are thorough. I agree on the bridge collapse correlation. I drove by it about an hour after it happened, never forget it.
A few facts about Minnesota is that we may be a northern state but we have several time have been more hot and humid then that Amazon jungle and can get to -50f in the winter. Then one winter in a 24 time span it jumped almost 60 degrees

Im from Iowa and I had a cousin fall through the ice on a snowmobile and after it went through it froze back over and they couldn't find him. There was a big snowstorm so his family called the seach off. They found him in the spring.

Being from Minnesota, there probably wasn't a lot left of a 1991 Ford Taurus that was still drivable in 2003. Due to the amount of salt and de-icer used.
🤔🤔You guys covered the case of james amabile who vanished in December 2004 he was on his way to pick up his daughters from the babysitter when he called and said he was running late he was a diabetic and during a episode while driving accidentally drove into the creek i think that's what happened to mark folz it's sad when the families don't know what happened to their missing love ones😢😢
A temperature below zero F in Minneapolis is BELOW normal. The coldest average low in Minneapolis is about 3-4 F above zero in mid Jan. Temps 15 to 20 below zero is well below the coldest average low for Minneapolis but does happen now and then. Southern Minnesota is closer to the equator than to the North Pole - not SO far north like many think. Europe for example is much further north. Minnesota is in middle of Continent- so cold winters and hot summers - with heat indexes sometimes exceeding 110-120 F in July.
Remember to check if your side windows are laminate. If so, they're unbreakable with the window breaker thing. Unbreakable.

My daughter lives in Minnesnowta, she's from So-Cal. I visited once in January it got to -42 degrees!!! Why this California girl calls it minnesnowta
i agree that these should be shown but would be nice if there was s reference to when they actually occurred (the filming).
There is a current case in Genesee County michigan it seems to me that its going cold the shrieffs thing that it was suicide but cant confirm that it was. And the reason I think its going cold is because there is 100% evidence on it all.
as a person from Minnesota it is bitter in the winter and ice fishing and driving on the ice is normal.

Seems like Doug should have checked with the MPD before diving on the river, the cops already knew about it. I like the Jared led investigations better, he's more thorough, shows more of the sonar images. It's great all these people are out looking for the missing, don't get me wrong. But Doug's episodes are mostly looking at Doug, he is the main subject.
