- Nobody asked but in today's video I am sharing 10 IKEA products that are surprisingly luxurious. I worked in luxury fashion for six and a half years so I am naturally drawn to items that look high end. As a stylist I start to imagine how things can work in a home and how it can enhance the room's style. A luxury look does not mean you have to spend a ton of money-its about the way objects are furniture are put together.

My style is similar to yours but because I battle depression I need color. I like turquoise, burnt orange, silver grey and white. I hope your face isn’t cringing right now. But these colors with the green of plants with flowers have made a difference (and honestly watching you brings me joy also. I suffer from depression too. I turned one bedroom into a plant room. I painted it all white, got a huge mirror from home goods to bring in more light. Took out the closet doors and made a little nook. Arvin has me changing my whole house around lol

I buy two shower curtains and an extra set of hooks, because I want them to look luxurious. They will show the folds just like window curtains and instantly make your bathroom look chic and expensive.

I have to say, I’ve been watching your videos for a few days now and I really appreciate the fact that you take into account different styles and aesthetics. I know of other TH-camrs who will simply tell you exactly what to do so that your space looks like an IKEA exhibit more than a home. You show many different things that can apply to so many different spaces and overall it’s so much more helpful than simply being told “put this table and this plant with this chair”. I may be thinking way too deep into this but it’s so refreshing to see someone who is so versatile.
I literally just purchased the Hilja curtains for my home office yesterday!!! I swear when I was deciding whether to buy them or not I thought to myself I wish I could ask Arvin about these! Lol

While i love a traditional crystal chandelier, we had a bunch in my house growing up, I'm glad that they're not super in style rn. They're so expensive and they set a really particular tone for your home.

My grandfather 1000 years ago asked me a question. I was only 700 years old at the time... he asked me if I knew what was the difference in a 'vase' and a vaaass ... nope. $8.00. I laughed my butt off then as a kid. And still do.. but now we called them vessels. Which to me is like a big boat.

When I renovated my basement, I used IkEA furniture - tv stand, dresser, wardrobe, etc all in white! Then I just added color pieces like wall art and accessories. So beautiful 😻
