I've been avoiding people so that I don't have to justify or explain where I'm at, so this is a timely reminder of how to engage in a different way. Thanks as always 🎉

One thing you don't mention here that I have a hard time with is when people around you act like there isn't something wrong going on with your health. I've been progresively let them apart of my life since negating what I'm going through makes me think I'd rather not have these perople in my life, and eventually I forget about them. I feel a little bit sad to move on though, and they sure don't understand why I act this way. Thank you Toby

Thank you, Listening to this video, I was going "Oh yes, I was there and got myself out of negative thinking, as it is so powerful". You explain it very well, I have been on this journey for many years and yes I am getting better and it helps to think positively but truthfully, not having to explain to anyone how I feel helps enormously.

Hi Toby, great info as usual. I great reminder for me as I had an afternoon in bed today after overdoing it for too long as my husband is not well. Thank you.

This channel is amazing: thank you so much! I can't believe this isn't prescribed to anyone who is suffering, and the system should be used in standard health care.
Long ago when I was well I found I periodically just wanted to rest, to sleep. And then I'd be better. We can say the same thing now. I'm watching this and dealing with negative thoughts as I'm having a set back, but really I know I need to rest for a while. Tomorrow I'll be much better again: then I'll need to be careful not to overdo. This is the difference this channel is making.

I was in the negative after a setback from emergency dental appointments last week and this reminded me that this too shall pass and I am recovering slow but sure. I agree attitude and movement does play a big part of moving forward after a step backwards. Thank you!

Thanks Toby, I needed this reminder even though I was in the Foundations course! I've had CFS for over 3 decades to varying degress so you can imagine the negative thinking I have to overcome!

Sounds like Me. Ha literally. Glandular fever. Pushing through an eating disorder too. The gym etc. Eventually after countless tests M.E/C.F.S. diagnosed. My B12 low, a Woman so Anaemic through Periods. Just awful.

Thanks so much for this. I started a couple of weeks ago saying positive things about getting better instead of being so negative and it works! I have some yuk days but it I feel this mindset helps.

Thanks for the excellent video Toby. I used to be under the line. I suffered a really bad relapse after having an operation last year. To me, I tell people that I'm in rehabilitation. I was just starting to come out of it and bam, I got Covid 🙄. I'm still rehabilitating. I know that eventually, I will come out of this. In April, I started learning Japanese. I haven't got very far but it's OK. I know a lot more than I did 4 months ago 😂. Sending love ❤ and hugs 🤗 to you all.

This is dead right. I think I could never say that I was going to get better until I discovered your channel because I simply didn't believe it.. Everyone was telling me you never get over it and the longer it went on the more I believed then. And the doctor does not need to say that you won't get better: silencer tells you very clearly what they think. Or maybe what you imagine they think: it amounts to the same thing if no-one has ever said you can get better.

Do you offer transcripts of your podcasts? Podcast format doesn't work well for my ADHD brain.

I don't know if they do, but you might have an alternative: look for a audio to text software and you'll be able to get to text any audio content as long as the sound is clear.

Yes, it certainly is real, and you are very much behind the times with the latest research! It's very dangerous to imply to vulnerable people, some who've been suffering for decades, that this is all in their heads. How cruel! Chronic fatigue syndrome can now be proved physically against healthy controls, and I urge you to do your proper research. You're around 20 years behind the times!

He Never said it's all in your head. He said other people told Him it was all in his head. Its obvious he's been feeling like this for a long time. Stop putting your Negativity onto him. He's Trying to help other's understand what Cronic fatigue syndrome is. He's up to date with what he knows about it. How Dare you you imply that he's hurting or telling vulnerable people it's in their head's. Because he's Not. He's doing his best to help other people who Don't recognise the symptoms of this CFS. Now If you have Nothing Nice to say. Then say Nothing. I'm grateful to people like this. Who helps sufferers like myself get a better understanding of what I can do to help myself. As doctor's these day's Don't have the time or inclination to explain or help you in anyway. Whereas Toby gives His time and Expertise on this subject. I for one am most grateful for his video. I've now a better understanding of my illness and how it affects me and my family. So Thank you so much Toby

Thank you Toby I now have a better understanding of what my condition is and what I can do to help myself. My doctor never explained what it was I have. On top of my Addisons Disease. I get really exhausted and extremely tired. I can go day's just sleeping All the time. So again Thank you from the UK 🙏🙏🥱❤
