I disguised my Hasselblad X1dii six months ago for the same reasons, but I included placing electrical tape over the orange shutter, all the logos and even went so far as using silver tape to make the corners appear worn through the black coating. I still draw the same attention and get asked questions which I politely answer; I think the large lens gives it away. "Is that a Hasselblad?"
I'm the only guy on Maui with a 907x. It's a scene every time I whip my camera out in public. I stay home mostly, and take pictures around the house. Didn't die in the fires, so greatful to be here.
Some photographers cover the logos on their camera bodies simply because the white text or logo on a black body is very high contrast and tends to draw the subject's eye. Now try convincing anyone to put tape over their little red dot.
I did not ever have the feeling that the Hasselblad logo is drawing any attention. Here in Germany it seems that the brand is not that well-known, at least outside of the photographer bubble.
I used to have a Hassy about a decade ago; sorry, so extra or unwanted attention! BTW: Do you happen to be good looking? I'm kinda plain/sorta ugly - oh, and old😢. I'd actually like the attention.
I was surprised when everyone had to ask “what camera is that? Hasselblad?” And I have to explain it’s a brand from Sweden. And the next question of “how much is it?” Always makes me uncomfortable. Now that the logo is not at display, I think people just assume it’s another Nikon or Canon
If if give to pyschological peace of mind, do want you want to do. However guising the hasselblad logo, will not help prevent from be robbed or being stolen due to unique shape of the camera body and it the organge shutter button. Every thieve will recognize the camera. However I do wish this expersive camera body would have similar security measuera as every smartphone has. Hasselblad did do a very very bad job in this regard. As a hasselblad enthusias I dislike that you modded your camera.
What a wasting time video content . Wasting time to make it and also wasting time for people to watch it. Whats that even mean..?! SO, what...? I have PhaseOne, Do I have to hide the logo because people might ask me questions. What a staffed up world we living in..!!
Dislike Absolutely wasting people time with this kind of video. Curiosity is the best way to make connections and get knowledge. If you worry to someone stole it then why you are in street?? Stay at home, close doors and windows. Dislike
Better idea wear a pair of headphones while out and about. Dont even need to be listening to anything people never bother me. Works like a charm

I have on all my Leicas. What I carry is my business, no one else's.
Reporters used to do it, now everything has changed
One spot remaining: the lens cap
Sticky take will damage the logo / paint
Going to start driving my hellcat with the car cover on 😂
It is internet.

They are not cameras for non photographers.
They are not at all known where I am. But I need only be wrong around a thief once. So the logos are covered.
Most people can’t pronounce haaselblah
I have always used gaffers tape. It doesn't leave a sticky residue.
I'd tape that big orange shutter button too

I love covering tech logos ... I like the gadgets not the logos 😂
thinking of doing the same
Dude takes un-flexing to the next level
Fyi, gorilla tape is really strong. I usually use gaffers tape, comes off easier but strong enough to stay on.
Same here, same reason.
Dos not help, robbers knows that cameras with cover logos are an expensive ones :)
The Hasselblad text across the camera strap kind of defeats the purpose of putting tape on the rest of the camera.
Just get insurance?
I’m surprised you have that problem. In my whole family, I think I’m the only one who knows what the “H” is.

Do what Pentax does with their K-3 lll Monochrome and carefully paint the logo black. It looks elegant and stylish ✌️
Heh, thanks to DJI and Xiaomi, I just told those asking that Hasselblad and Leica are China brand and they are losing interest.
I used gaffers tape. No need to shout out what it is. Same with the Red Dots. Low profile is always better.
Gaffers tape please. The residue from gores tape might harm . Love this camera. I have the 500 cm. Someday
I am pretty sure that the anodised finish is damaged after a few months under that gorilla-tape.
Definitely not my way, looks terrible
Like it 🙏
