I’m leaning toward this one e aswell. I’ve been pretty happy with my SD but this one seems like a nice upgrade. I’m still going to wait for the final reviews before taking the plunge tho!
I bought Lenovo Go at launch and it's very good. I strapped on a Samsung T7 Shield 2.TB SSD to the kickstand and it stays there whether kickstand is in or out.
@@OVERKILLGAMING786I haven't used the case yet, but tried now. The case is barely deep enough because the big center bottom hole have the right controller mouse adapter. I recommend putting the tiny portable SSD in a pocket. When needed just plug it in as windows uses only 1 second to mount it.
The thing that i love about the legion go, is that I can just use it as a tablet. When im traveling i can just watch some videos on it in tablet mode, no controllers. and when i want to game, I can put the controllers on.
I was originally planning to buy a 64 GB Steam Deck in a few weeks and then buy the Legion Go in December, but I'm slowly starting to wonder if I should just get the Legion Go and forget about getting a Steam Deck since I was planning to use both devices mostly for emulating up to Xbox 360 and PS3.
Steam deck, all the way. Runs linux or windows at first I ran windows but now love the linux os now, that i understand it. Its, cheaper, better battery, accessories, easier to fix and upgrade if anything goes wrong. Plays most AAA, even though its not as power because its refined.
Just get the Legion Go since you’ll not be missing anything by skipping it. I personally have the Steam Deck and the ROG Ally, and barely use my Steam Deck anymore but plan on keeping it since I don’t want to sell it. I was in the queue to get one and would have skipped it if I got the ROG Ally first. I’m most likely going to skip the Legion Go myself since I already have the ROG Ally.
@@ox3965 steam deck battery isn’t better, and the software is glitchy as hell. Im selling mine and just getting the go, the screen alone is worth the upgrade
I canceled my preorder and got a smoking deal on a powerful laptop on prime day today. Makes more sense to me and i barely paid any more money. Ill wait for a better chip and new technology. Hope yall enjoy it though.
I don't know why so many people are buying this one when in a few months, the new chips come out, we're going to start seeing the 2nd Gen versions of all these handhelds. They're going to be much more powerful and all the companies will have learned and copied from the competition. I think next year's handhelds are going to be a giant leap forwards... Maybe we'll even start to see 8 inch+ OLED screens, which is what I want
@@zuzu9823there is always going to be something better. In a year, 2, 3 and so on. People just want to enjoy it now. And that’s what I am going to do. I am going to replace my steam deck with this thing and I hope I don’t regret it ahhah
I’m getting one! I’m so MF excited, just like I was for the SD. It’s finally time to upgrade. I can’t play starfield, remnant 2, returnal, lords of fallen, or ea fc 24 on the SD unfortunately.
What about the cons? For example VRR, it's weight, bad optimisation, having a single fan ( Probably will be loud) and some other things you might would want to add?
I spoke about the lack of VRR in my last video. I can't speak about the weight or other things you mentioned until I have it in my hands. Trust me we will do a full review when we have it. From what I have read from people who have actually had it in their hands it does feel that heavy or cumbersome. Another reason why I am not too concerned about weight is because I am fairly strong, and I also prefer to play games with AR glasses connected to the device. Eliminating the need to hold the device up to my face.
im certainly not concerned about weight its actually not much heavier than the steam deck and with the controllers detached it might actually be lighter than the rog ally and i plan to play with a proper controller and this thing set up on a desk or in a swing arm. As for Vrr i have never had a monitor or t.v that has ever had it i never needed it and i played my games just fine so i really don't understand why everyone thinks its so essential now. not concerned about the single fan either as a larger unit it has more room to breath bigger heatsinks and a larger screen which also helps to distribute heat i dont think it will be an issue unless you try to max it out beyond its intended capacity and if you do nothing is keeping that thing cool or quiet.

@PIFFthePUFF420 steam helps but Ally and Lenovo don't need it. They can run any game that can run on Windows. That already gives them a rather large library of games without the steam library. Plus at the end of the day they are still Pc's and can do alot more than play games.

@@cdiff07Every PC handheld released doesn't have VRR besides the Ally. I guess they've tested and see it as not necessary. Also amds FSR3 isn't compatible with VRR and I believe that is going to be pretty important for these handhelds once it gets all optimized.

Basically. I don't mind the weight as much because I plan to use these with AR glasses. So, won't need to hold the device up to my face. Some reviews I have read have said it was not as heavy or as cumbersome a expected. My Geek weighed 1.5 lbs. It didn't feel super heavy while playing
That's why I want it. I despise gaming on laptops and my desktop is not performing well. My laptop is on its last legs. This will allow me to have a laptop so I can do work without having to actually get a gaming laptop
What's the problem, you can't lift 2 pounds?
Please Play dying light and dying light 2
I played dying light on my steam deck max settings and it runs great
I have Dying Light 2. We can take a look at it
It will be my laptop. my other laptops can play all the games I want to play.
I just want a portable Xbox
We're really close to having that. Wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft releases a handheld soon
This or the Ally are pretty much portable Xbox’s
Can an Xbox controller be Bluetoothed to this tablet?
Gaming laptop is better right now at $700
Gaming laptops aren't for me. I've had em in the past. Need something way more portable
Lmao did you just freeboot this video and added some commentary 🤣
Yup. It's called Fair Use
Cant run forza at 720p low 60fps.
So these things are a meme
Cyberpunk running 60 fps medium 800p tell me why you can’t run forza 😂😂
@@zomg346 Try motorsport 8
I'm pretty sure it can. I think even the Steam Deck can do that
@@OVERKILLGAMING786 I'm referring to the new one that just came out.
@@Asfanboy1 ofcourse it can Rog ally is running it fine on medium
unfortunately no vrr
Yeah, that is unfortunate. But man, so many other things to like that overshadows the lack of VRR.
@@OVERKILLGAMING786 Not having VRR is HUGE, I really do not understand why? Who ever had the power to make that happen, chose this direction?
@@cdiff07Every PC handheld released doesn't have VRR besides the Ally. I guess they've tested and see it as not necessary. Also amds FSR3 isn't compatible with VRR and I believe that is going to be pretty important for these handhelds once it gets all optimized.

Yeah, I'll pass
I was onboard with this until the no vrr, and review embargo. Seems super suspect, and like the rushed production.
