Hans Zimmer is a great composer and etc but this is just.. idk boring? Even choir doesn't help much (2:42). Can't understand why not Trevor Morris? Inquisition's ost was absolutely majestic masterpiece.
This isn't the main theme, it's one "track" of the soundtrack. It's too slow for a main theme. Hans Zimmer will probably only do the main theme and the "rest" of his studio (remote control productions) will takeover for the rest of the game soundtrack
It may or may not be the main theme... It's the assumed one until stated otherwise (Which I have left in the pinned comment thread, which includes the "remote control productions" you've also said)... Also, you have heard the DA:Origins & especially DA2 main theme? They're not exactly fast either as they're slow too. Only Inquisition main theme is more epically fast.
@@SpectreSaunders Ah I see, when I meant slow, I meant there is no finale build up to a main theme like the three other Dragon Age games. Hans Zimmer is a great composer and etc but this is just.. idk boring? Even choir doesn't help much (2:42). Can't understand why not Trevor Morris? Inquisition's ost was absolutely majestic masterpiece.
Hans + Lorne……WOW
It's baffling Bioware devs didn't use this song in the reveal trailer...
It played during the countdown
@@warfeest wooow the countdown 🙄 is that supposed to make it better? Lmao
It was in the gameplay trailer
Are there day time and night time in this new dragon age new series
Lorne you will always scream Skylanders to me
HANS ZIMMER 😯
This part is just my opinion, but I also doubt Remote Control Productions would only use legato strings/brass/choir and a few drum hits for the main theme considering many other themes they put out over the years.
Am I the only one who doesn't like it? I would prefer if they used a theme similar to Lost Elf Theme, which was perfect for Solas. This one doesn't sound anything like it, and is kinda generic, boring.
I hope they use a rendition of Lost Elf & Dark Solas theme... This isn't the confirmed main theme as of yet, but I assume it is.
@@SpectreSaunders both Lost Elf Theme and DAI Main Theme are much better than this
@@miossid I agree, but I do personally like this... It's very high & dark fantasy mixed with a feeling of dread(wolf)... We haven't heard the full score yet so maybe there'll be more tracks to your liking.
@@SpectreSaunders Yeah I hope so. There hasn't been a Dragon Age game in which I don't like the score
They just need to try their hand at a Dragon Age MMO at this point
*Looks over at their other multiplayer game, Anthem:* "No" 😅
Absolutely not
Is he the main composer for game or just for trailer ?
Not sure why they'd only score a track for a trailer, so it's most likely one of them or both... You can hear a variation of this track during the gameplay reveal in the Arlathan section... They've also been credited on a 2nd track that released last year as a secret bonus track for DA:V called "D'read Koda" ... *EDIT:* It's just been confirmed that Han Zimmer & Lorne are doing The Veilguard music from the credits of Vows & Vengeance.
No way...
Unlike others i am very sceptical about this choice of composer. Trevor Morris would be a better choice.
Trevor Morris was great in the Vikings... but his OST for DA? Too generic. I was disappointed 10 years ago and I am still disappointed now. If HZ & LB is truly on the board, we can expect cinematic and epic adventure.
@@barbarosa3d239 If you find DAI of generic (which it definetly is not), then i would like to dissappoint you in what you will hear from Zimmer. For what is ZImmer music in 90% of cases if not just another identical pretentious epic sound.
@@Hierarch_Artanis Yes, DAI was generic... the closest for comparison is Starfield... too few memorable melodies (only main theme was good and memorable), I can play whatever melody from Vikings even half-sleepy, but DAI? Maybe it is not Trevor´s fault, who knows what producers wanted from him... HZ is founder of modern epic music, he does not need to pretend anything :D
@@Hierarch_Artanis To call Hans Zimmer's music, one of the best composers in the world along John Williams, also winner of Oscars, "identical pretentious epic sound 90% of cases", then I can only conclude you have absolutely zero idea of what you're talking about. Either that, or you have very little knowledge of his work, movie/tv series/game orchestra in general or maybe just really bad opinion.
@@andreamorim7365 Opinion can not be bad or good. This is where this dialog is over.

Juro que em 1:45 me lembrou do DA Origins
Wait how do we know this is Hans Zimmer?
by official statement from BioWare
It's just been confirmed that Han Zimmer & Lorne are doing The Veilguard music from the credits of Dragon Age: Vows & Vengeance audio drama.
Anthem have great soundtrack by Sarah Schachner but game is complete trash. But i am hyped for DA Veilguard. Hope it will be good:)
Even with Hans Zimmer, I find it disappointing. For the main theme, I was expecting something more epic...
This is pretty boring compared to the other games and Hans Zimmers other work. This doesn't sound like a main theme but more like background music for some dialogue
My guess is, if it's not the main theme then maybe it's the main menu music... But we'll get proper confirmation soon... You can hear an altered version / the same chords of it in the gameplay reveal when Rook & co are fighting in Arlathan.
@@SpectreSaundersmain menu music for inquisition was the main theme though… so guessing they changed that
@@Bro-dot- This is probably the main theme or a variation of it. You can hear another variation of this track during the gameplay reveal when Rook & co are in Arlathan.
@@SpectreSaunders That’s true, think you are spot on actually. Skyhold theme was essentially the main music theme from DAI.
Wow! This really makea me fucking miss Inon Zur.
This is so... Nothing.
Inquisition’s music was my favourite, this is a little boring and generic. Each to their own obvs 🥰
The weakest music of the series, Hans Zimmer does not know how to write music for Fantasy.
And I'm not going to pretend like 99% of Hans Zimmer fanatics just because it's Hans Zimmer. In parts 1-3, the main theme is much better and was written with a soul. It's like music for a romantic movie
Well made sure, but nothing very memorable or anything that stands out in perticular.
I am not impressed, way too generic for a main theme.
Вы меня извините, но звучит, как типичный ютубовский эмбиент из плейлиста по типу даркакадемии
I think the developers got confused and thought this was star wars 🤷
Lol
Naja, ein bisschen langweilig ist die Musik schon. Gewinne ich jetzt gegenüber den anderen DA-Teilen nicht sonderlich viel ab.
Da bin ich anderer Meinung. Die Musik in den letzten 3 Teilen war all over the place. 🤷♀️
Sounds exactly how I imagined a hans Zimmer dragon age theme would sound.
You could replace the title with any other fantasy ip in existence and it would fit as much as it fits dragon age.
It's pretty, a bit generic and not at all exciting.
Sounds generic. I miss Trevor Morris.
Sounds too much like Star Wars
That's Hanz Zimmer for you. It's the reverse genius effect - when you make something so perfect popular, every trailer starts sounding like this, and then people start seeing your work as generic.
Honestly, big no. Bring back Inon Zur or Trevor Morris.
Wow,Hans Zimmer can be really mediocre when he's not passionate about his project. This is so generic.
I would argue that all of his music is generic and sounds like it belongs in an epic trailer music compilation, but that's just me. I think Trevor Morris's music for DAI was the best in the series I really don't get why they needed to blow a wad on Han Zimmer at all. And Lorne Balfe isn't much better when it comes to generic soundtracks. I hope the in game music is better.
Genuinely, how is this generic? Do you need something like the Marvels theme to say it's good? This is the best theme I've heard.
And we don't know if this is really the main theme or not
@@ChronicaErys What about it stands out? There is no hook? It's just sad violin music.mp3. idk, I'm hoping this isn't the actual theme.
Even the name will not save this title. And the music is not characteristic at all. The themes of the first two parts were Great. You mean Dragon Age? I think - Only Inon Zur🔥🤘😎 🔥
Inon Zur: What the f*** is that s***??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
*Everyone:* "Inon Zur, your Starfield OST sounded like rejected fallout 4 tracks that didn't fit the tone of game at all" 😅
@@SpectreSaunderslisten to the Dragon Age Origins OST before you speak
@@thomasb2031I have... His Origins & Fallout music is great! I get some origin vibes from this. It's interesting noticing how you didn't speak about and ignored his DA2 OST entirely, as his DA2 music really isn't _that_ good in comparison... His Starfield & Elder Scrolls Blades OST's (& probably his ES6 OST) aren't great either as they're quite generically dull or sound like rejected tracks from better scores... Trevor's DAI OST is leagues better than DAO&2 scores.
@@SpectreSaunders not surprising, the ost was rushed like the game. But he gave the soul of Dragon age. In DAI,just the theme was good
