Trespasser was peak Dragon Age, and for me personally, peak gaming. Trevor Morris elevated the game and this DLC in particular to heights that may never be reached again. Chasing Solas through eluvians across gorgeous scenery and mountains, learning about the legends of him freeing the other Elvhen slaves, and killing the rogue Qunari chasing him. All while never knowing if this is our last ride as the Inquisitor, never knowing if the anchor is going to kill us and periodically exploding, damaging our teammates. And finally everything coming together right at the peak of this soundtrack in an incredible and still the hardest fight against the unleashed Sarebas… how I wish I could experience the entire ride again. Thank you Trevor Morris and the writers of Trespasser.
The date is November 2024. DA4 has released and Hanz MF Zimmer could not top this. Trevor Morris set the bar too high, Inquisition/Trespasser is legitimately his best work.
Whether it's to rescue a lover, help a friend or bring down hell on a betrayer, this really works as this culmination of everything inquisition has led to, especially when it's potentially the last time you'll ever be the inquisition again.
The soundtrack from Trespasser really feels like a grown up version of the Dragon Age series. Like... now the time has come where the serious shit begins.
Indeed. Because what's on the horizon...it's bigger than the Grey Wardens. Bigger than the Darkspawn. Bigger than the Qunari. Bigger than the Mage Rebellion. Bigger than Corypheus. And we are the only ones who can face it before it consumes everything we've fought so hard and sacrificed so much to protect.

And then, the quiet version, when Something Very Important was happening. Perfect end to an otherwise flawed game, and so much more satisfying than the Cory fight! :D

This is a phenomenal piece. I just finished Trespasser last night (I know I'm ages late with this game) and I was legitimately fighting and crying simultaneously when this music kicked in. Forever engraved in my mind. I wish I could erase my memory of this game to play it again for the first time - from start to finish. Such a masterpiece.
I first played the game in 2015 + this dlc, only one run, i thought it was an ok game for some reason i did not enjoy it as much, i didn't feel connected to the characters or my inquisitor. 2 weeks ago I decided to do play it again because the GOTY edition was on sale and I completed Tresspasser just last night... The game hit me differently, it's like I understood the game better, fell in love with the characters, felt the weight of the world on my inquisitor shoulders and damn the chemistry of my female dwarf with Blackwall was something I wasn't expecting at all. I even managed to get Dorian and Bull together. What you described with the pain of the anchor manifesting and hurting the squad made me feel the same way, desperate to reach for Solas.
