    Yes, negative comments behind our back are the only resort of cowards.

    Thanks. Very informative. A lot of criticism stems from lack of restraint and projected internalised self loathing.

      Absolutely, it's the reason they often do it. Because they don't like themselves, they have to take it out on someone else. Thanks for commenting, Jonathan

    You just spoke to me James.. You know what I've been up against in the past.. Hate, jealousy, lies, bullies..
    Personally, I think the main one is jealousy..
    Nice post, good message.. 😉

      That's very true Janet. I didn't realise how few friends I had until I was in the mire.

    I have been here 21 years and I have been gossiped about since I moved in. I know the woman who started it and why, and although she is deceased, it still carries on. I have become a LEGEND! And I don't even come out that much. When I do, I am polite and smiling and try to say something nice. The gossip still goes on. I have reached a point that when I am back in my apt., I laugh myself silly. It hurt horribly in school because I really wanted friends. Now, I am so so happy to finally live alone, I don't care. There are those, through the years, who have taken the time to get to know me and all is well. Oddly, God allows me one friend at a time! My current one will be moving soon but I'm encouraging it along with her family. She is only 59 and still has time ahead of her and living here (because of her disabilities) will shorten her life by years. I want her to be safe and as happy as she can be. Eventually, I will find a new friend. Welcome to my life...one friend at a time.
    And always remember, if you are talking about someone else...as soon as you walk away, your friends will then talk about you!

      It's funny how we always want friends when we are younger. It's also funny how the older we get, the more you like our own company.
      I've never liked being around gossips. That last sentence of yours is so true!

    This is a well-timed video for your listeners in the US. Our Thanksgiving Day will be here in just a few days. Family get togethers do cause many of us to need to deal with relatives we may find difficult, but not impossible. A bit of mental preparation before the actual event is so valuable.

      Sadly, it's true that sometimes family gatherings can bring negativity to the fore, but if you're ready for it, you can avoid the comments.
      Hopefully, it will still pass as a good day for everyone.
      Many thanks for your comment and for watching. Happy Thanksgiving to you.

    You get yourself a teddy and you will have people talking about you. 😂
    We were always taught "Sticks and Stones", and while it may not be PC now, it's still as relevant. You will always have those kinds of people. You have the power to either change their views or ignore them.

    • @JamesMurphyYT
      @JamesMurphyYT  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My Mum used to say Sticks and stones..and we needed to, because when you came from a fairground family you used to get called everything from a pig to a dog and that contained right through school and particularly when I was travelling in different towns during the 80s. Thanks for posting Tyler.

      @@JamesMurphyYT Just have to throw this out there, but it's kinda funny, because if it wasn't for people like your family there wouldn't have been fairs or arcades to go to. It was people like you that made all this fun stuff possible. I would think there had to be some kids that were jealous of you though and wished they were in your shoes.

    • @JamesMurphyYT
      @JamesMurphyYT  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @TylerWalker-wj8wr I'm sure they'd have like the free rides we used to get, but we also started working from a young age so there's that to it as well.

    solid thumbnail for sure. However I would crop you in the thumbnail so I only see your face. This way we can convey motion which is a big secret to thumbnail success
