I'd love to know where you're all from. Please comment and let me know where you come from. Also, I'll be doing a Live stream on Wednesday, November 27th, at 2pm (UK time). If you have any questions for me, please add them to the replies here. Thanks!
Loved the video thank you so much James for responding to my suggestion! I am from Aberdeen, Scotland. I am in the late 20s life stage, myself and my wife just bought our first house
Hi Alex. I'm glad you found value in it. In this day and age, being able to buy your first house is some achievement. Funnily enough, one of my sons has just bought his second house and is moving in as we speak. Good luck in your new home. I hope I said your surname correctly!
Great video. As I get older, some things become harder to do so I have come to appreciate what I have and not take things for granted. I find joy and happiness in spending time with my kids and grandkids as I don't get to see them often. I live in Ohio, my daughter and her family are in Florida, my son and his family live in Kentucky. 🙂🥰😘❤
Hi Tia, it's funny how we find joy in different things as we get older. It's as though we change and find that what we value more is t the same as when we were younger.
I am from Ontario, Canada. You are right on - the little things and family become important as we age. i worked for 40 years in banking and now I can enjoy life and my grand kids. Thanks for your wisdom. perhaps you could share what you like to do in free time, hobbies, reading, travel etc. Thanks for your insight and videos.
Thanks Janet. You're right possessions become less important and people become more. One of the reasons I'm going to do live streams is to connect more with the people who follow the channel and I see Waffle Wednesday as being more like hanging out with friends where we all can get to know each other via the chatroom. I see that as the area where we'll talk about those kinds of things. I hope you'll be able to join me on Wednesday.
Hello James, I’m Tammy from Illinois and lived in Coventry from 83-84 and got to see quite a bit of the UK. It was a great time in my life and I hope that at some point I can get back over to see more.
Hi Tammy. You'll find the UK is a lot different than it was in the 1980s. Sadly not for the better. Did you get to see a lot of the country? There are some immensely beautiful places here. Sadly many of our cities are overcrowded as is most of the country. Compared to Australia with its 27 million people, here in the UK, we have over 65 million on such a small island. It's good to know your name, I can address you properly!
@ I have heard about how different it is now in the UK as to the way it was when I lived there. I did get to see a lot of England an I also traveled to Spain and France. My favorite places were Wales, Isle of White, Nottingham, Great Yarmouth and Devon; I did travel a lot in the West Midlands but sadly didn’t get to Scotland or Ireland-bucket list.
@@tadool5352 Great Yarmouth is a place I hold with great affection - I love the place and have a lot of family there. In 1978, I spent the year looking after one of the rides in The Pleasure Beach and I have a lot of great memories of the town. The Isle of Wight is a treat - it's as though it's in a timewarp back to the 1950s. Devon is still as pretty as it was then. Thanks for sharing Tammy.
Good evening James, I live in the Charlotte North Carolina area now, but have lived in Chicago Illinois, St Paul MInnesota, Denver Colorado, and Portland Oregon. What can I say, I’m a nomad. Trying to talk my husband into traveling as we enter retirement.
Hi Sharon. You certainly have moved about the country. I have a friend who comes from North Carolina but now lives in South Carolina. America is vast compared to here in the UK, so there's plenty of places you can go. Thanks for commenting.
I wouldn't go back and I can't change anything unless all the people I met were willing to change...and they wouldn't. And I would have to be born to different people. And the best is yet to come because I know that none of us get out of here alive, and I pray that it will be my turn soon (and I have prayed that since I was a young child...even God keeps putting off having to spend time with me, eternity is a very long time). That is my name (profile) and I was born and raised in Detroit and now live in the Metro-Detroit area. 78. Female. (To be politically correct, I was born a female and I now identify as a female...so as not to confuse anyone.)

My Dad was born in Slough and I used to live in Mill End Rickmansworth, so I spent a bit of time in your area! Cheers Mark
